My Cleaners & Alterations

Do not come here! This is by far the worst alteration/​cleaners I have ever been to!
First of all I went in to have 3 pairs of jeans shortened. The lady seemed nice enough and quoted me $ 10 a pair. It sounded reasonable considering I was spending about $ 15 a pair at other places. Well, when I went to pick them up a few days later the gentleman that was at the counter said it would be $ 45! I explained to him that another lady had quoted me $ 30 for the 3 pairs (he could care less what I said). I then asked if the other woman was available to speak to. When she appeared, I reminded her that she quoted me $ 10 a pair and she proceeded to argue with me and even raise her voice! Meanwhile the gentleman just stood there and stared at the wall. So I paid the $ 45 and told them I would never be back. I walked out and could here them laughing as I walked out.
This is not how I like to be treated and neither should anyone else. Especially if you are paying a place of business your hard earned money.

I have lived in Austin for several years and it has been a challenge to find a good cleaners that was close. Perfecto was recommended to me and I did like them but their location was very inconvenient. I used My Cleaners one time for cleaning some suit jackets and considered using them for alterations. However, when I picked up my beautiful new suit jacket, I did not realize until I got home that the back tie secured by buttons was hanging on one of the front buttons and the back 2 buttons were totally missing! So I went back to the cleaners and asked for the buttons; luckily they found them and then offered to sew them back on. No way! If you cannot clean it, then I certainly do not want you to fix or alter something. I found Austin Cleaners on McNeil. They are friendly and my clothes are returned to me intact!
