Always have a hard time coming in here for a haircut. First, they don’t go by appointments. You can however, put your name on the list with the approximate time that you’ll be there(like 10 mins/20 mins… etc). But it is hard to estimate when you are with kids. The staff are friendly, but when it gets busy, I find them becoming impatient. The back room with toys are filthy. Price is very expensive too. Hair dresser’s competencies are sometimes questionable. One time they told me that Jaime(Our usual cutter) isn’t working so they paired me up with someone else(forgot her name). They assured me that she is good and experienced with kids. Well, she didn’t act like she knew what she’s doing. The hair cut turned out skewed(not straight/even), the scissors did nick a bit of my child’s ear. She was apologetic though. But she was definitely acting nervous around kids. Which is understandable but they should be honest about her experiences and not let someone like that cut young children’s hair. Have her cut an older child’s hair and I think she’ll be fine.

Our son has gotten his hair cut twice here. Both times went great! They have a waiting area with toys which is great. One time there were some other rude kids playing that tried shoving a 1 year old on the floor, so just watch your kids when they play. Stylists are A+

We love coming to see Mrs. Kay for my son’s haircuts. We had our first haircut here at 13 months old and have been faithful clients for the last year and a half. Sometimes there is a 15 minutes wait, but I usually call when I am getting into the car to put my name on the list– then we get right in. My son loves the train table and eating animal crackers while Mrs. Kay cuts his hair. They are sweet and friendly, and the vibe is always very positive and playful. I have to tell people all the time where he gets his haircut because it always turns out so cute! Right now, he’s doing the David Beckham haircut, hahaha! Adorable place, adorable people big and small.

Their scheduling system can be improved upon, for sure. Would like to be able to make an appointment, but it is basically first come first serve starting at 10am when they open. There are some stylist that don’t do the greatest job at cutting my sons hair. But there are others that do a great job(ie Cathy). So I suggest get someone that you trust and knows what they are doing otherwise you are gambling

I took my 4 year old daughter in today for a haircut. Her stylist Kay was absolutely amazing!!! She made my daughters experience fun and memorable. Kay gave my daughter a wonderful haircut. I highly recommend Kay and we look forward to going back for future haircuts.

We got our sons first haircut today at 11 months old. We just walked in and there were 2 other people ahead of us so we had a 20 minute wait which was fine. They had lots of toys for him to play with and a kids movie to keep him occupied until it was his turn. We got to pick which chair he wanted to sit in and then the haircut went under way. The girl cutting his hair seemed a little flustered until another stylist stepped up and started blowing bubbles to keep him still and happy. The haircut went so well and he was smiling and laughing almost the entire time. At the end, almost as an after thought, she asked if we wanted to keep a lock of his hair and then picked up a small fuzzy clump from the floor and put it in a small clear bag. The haircut looks great and my son was happy so we got lots of smiling pictures but the service towards the parents could have been much better. Overall I would go back because my son liked it so much.

I get my haircut here, too! Jaime is the best!!! They have a great staff and plenty of things to keep the kids/dads entertained. You can even play a video game while you’re getting your hair cut AND you don’t have to be a kid to play!

We had our daughter’s 6th birthday party there and they did a FANTASTIC job! She chose the diva dance party. The girls got their hair done, light makeup, nails painted, diva dresses and boas, dancing to songs of their choice on the Wii Dance Party, walked down the catwalk, and decorated cupcakes! She and her friends had the best time! Two thumbs up!

I took my 8 and 5 year old daughters to Pigtails and Crewcuts Cedar Park for the first time yesterday, and it was a great experience. I called in for a same day Sunday appointment, we arrived and waited less than 5 minutes. The girls were able to pick a regular or car style chair, and to watch a movie or play a game. Afterward they were offered a sucker and a «treasure» from the chest, which was just party favor stuff but it helped lure them away from movie and game. The people were all very nice and chatted with the girls, we were in and out quickly, and the price was significantly less than what we have been paying at another kid focused salon. And really all we gave up was the painted nails and a balloon, which we were fine with. We will definitely be back!

Our son is almost one and this is our second haircut and our second Pigtails and Crewcuts visit, but our first at this location. We were immediately greeted warmly, and had to wait a little while, but there was plenty to entertain our little man. Each of the stylists was extremely kind and welcoming. Ms. Kay cut his hair and did a fantastic job! She was patient, sweet, and very careful. We are from out of town but I wish we could always come to Ms. Kay to get our son’s haircut! We highly recommend this salon for your little ones!

Not just another haircut, but an experience! My daughter has been going here since she was one and still squeals with glee when she gets to pick which seat to «ride» in. Call ahead to get on the list so you won’t have to wait and ask for Kay. ;)

I took my daughter here and there was a wait, but we found things to do until her turn was up. The stylist was friendly and knew how to ease my daughter’s worries. The chairs are refurbished wagons and a choice of movie or game is offered. My daughter needed to cut her split ends and layer cut the hair. It came out as expected and I am pleased with the service.

Took my son for the first time. Came home and brushed out my sons hair. It was butchered and uneven. How can you mess up a simple boys cut???

I brought my daughter here to have her hair cut for a Locks of Love donation. The setup is very cute. There were many things to keep a child occupied, both while waiting for an appointment as well as to distract them during the haircutting process. My complaint was with the stylist. During our appointment with her she went from acting annoyed to being completely indifferent. I get that we all have off days, but would it kill you to smile at a kid? My daughter was getting less enthused by the stylist’s attitude and started looking at me for reassurance. The stylist snapped at my daughter to not move her head. At that point I was done with this place. I asked my daughter to hold very still and the lady hacked off the rest of her bangs. It wasn’t until later that I noticed how uneven they were. The back of my daughter’s hair was slanted, as well. I took her to a friend the next day to even it out. The final kicker to this entire fiasco is that my daughter never received any recognition from Locks of Love. I filled out the form that was supposed to be sent in with the hair donation, but I sincerely doubt the hair even reached the foundation. If you do decide to have this salon cut your child’s hair for Locks of Love, maybe consider sending the hair donation in yourself. Needless to say, I do NOT recommend this establishment to anyone.

We’ve been taking our kids here for several years. Sometimes getting a haircut with kids is unpleasant… You know how it goes. We’ve had the panic attacks outside the front doors. In all the years we’ve taken our kids here… We’ve never had an issue. The creative car and airplanes help. The TVs playing Disney flicks makes a big difference. My 8 year old talks about playing the play station game weeks after his cut. The kids literally squeal with excitement we we head here for haircuts! We’ve found Linda and the other stylist to be amazing. They’re great with our kids, actively engaging in conversations with both the adults and kids alike! A+
