Was here twice in the last 2weeks. Closed early last night but it was Tues. Staff was friendly and fixed my drink with no attitudes. Being a bartender I know this is not always easy to do. Didn’t ask for a refund just said I wanted something else. They took my first drink off the bill on their own. Sweet! I will be back.

I don’t know what this place was like under the previous ownership, but I have really enjoyed the 3 times recently that I’ve made it over there. The bartenders are really nice, the food is meh ok, and the atmosphere is friendly. What could there be to complain about… oh yeah… no liquor. This is a beer pub, but I was told liquor was on the agenda, along with a new name.

Well, I can’t say that I’m surprised that Taps is closed. The one time I went there was not the most enjoyable of experiences. The beer selection was lacking, and was on par with a place like Chili’s. Although what really bothered me were the fluorescent lights. A pub is supposed to be dark, not lit up like high noon. I felt like I was drinking at work.

fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice shame you. Saw the reviews, but a friend recommended the place and went mid– March, a birthday! and went back about a week later. The first trip, they were out of most of everything on the menu. Had the nachos, which were cold and wanted two other items which they were out of at the current time, then had the slider burgers which were luke warm and as a result of this visit we received some comps and was told they were realy trying but they have been slammed. The second time we had the prime rib steaks… wanted the chicken fried steaks but they were out of them because they have been slammmed. So we settled for the prime rib steaks were luke warm at best, under cooked as expected. The sides were very salty and frankly for the price and less than ½ inches, skip them both. In fact skip eating completely, the quality of food is low. When we tried to use the comps we recieved on our first visit we were told they would accept them ONLY this time! Odd, why would you only accept them this time, you gave them to us to begin with because of your lacking food quality and service? Beer selection was great, but the service was so poor, we would have stayed longer but gave up and left. They are under funded and the new management seemed more conerned with sitting in front of the computer. Why do small places insist on having tacky one man bands sing? this place has too much open space which is pointless. This place could be so cool, but I doubt if this place will be around in a year with even new the management. Bottom line go someplace else, head into Austin.

Tap is now OPEN. As of this month, they were re-opened by new managment. I was not a fan before, but we went last night and they still have $ 2 beers on happy hour and better food — like sliders, fries, wings as you’d expect.

We love Taps! We go there fairly regularly for their beer and their food — especially the fried jalapenos and the fried portabello mushrooms. They have great live music, an outdoor patio, and a lot of TVs to watch. Occasionally the waitstaff are slow and they do not have a frozen margarita machine, but I can deal with it! Definitely give Taps a try!

A great friendly sports bar & pub where if ya let them they will learn your name and what you like to eat and drink. Great selection of fresh keg beer and bottle too. Ask Jake for a recommendation if you want something new. And they have the hard to find Fullers London Pride on tap. Happy hr until 7pm. Lastly you can catch your favorite game on the big screens all around, or throw darts!

Have you ever left a place and felt like you didn’t get your monies worth? I’ve been to Taps 5 or 6 times since they opened and never liked it as much as Dig Pub, but it wasn’t bad. Tonight nothing was right. The staff outnumbered the patrons, and out drank them as well. The place was dirty and the food left alot to be desired. Staff did seem way more intrested in themselves than helping any one actually paying for anything.

What has happened to Taps? In the last year, this bar has gone completely downhill. It’s interesting that there are now two pubs in Cedar Park. One is fantastic…“The Dig Pub” and this one, Taps, which is well, not so fantastic. The problems Taps has is in its wait staff. They are frankly, creepy. Not only do you have to wait waaay too long to be served and re-served,(20 minute average wait to get a refill or your order correct) the wait staff seems to spend all their time fooling around vs. attending to service. Some of them look wasted while working. Now, the noise. Surrounded by glass windows, this place’s noise level is probably close to a 110db when things get going. Way too loud to have a friendly conversation and when you try to sit outside, you have to deal with the smokers. Good selection of brews, but too expensive for what you get and the food is microwaved and comes out on average either too hot or too cold… when it comes out. Compared to the best bar in Cedar Park… strike that… Austin, The Dig Pub, I would ask you a simple question. Why are you going to Taps? Stop, think… and go to The Dig instead. Better get there early before all the chairs are gone.

Grrrrreat burger; one of the best in town. Servers get flustered but owner/manager is nice. Also wwwaaayyy loud when band is playing, but then again, I am not really a «bar» person. We will definitely go back for the burger.

Really neat little bar with a great selection of beer. The main draw for me, however, is the NHL Center Ice package and plenty of TV’s. Not the best bartenders, but they are still new… so I’m sure it’s a learning process. This place should be a good place for anyone to go and have a drink, especially in Cedar Park. The food is actually pretty good too! Despite the very normal bar décor, it’ a very clean and sterile place. Not bad for a date or an after work get together. …all in all, I’ll be back.

Okay, I have to say I prefer the Dig. Two bars. Two miles apart. Here’s the comparison. The Dig is smaller, more quiet and intimate, more unique and classy in layout and décor, has excellent, creative sandwichcraft, and has a smart waitstaff that are generally over 18. Oh and has Golden Monkey(but that’s my addiction so can’t fault all bars for not carrying it. Fact is, if I found it everywhere, it wouldn’t be healthy for me). Taps is bigger with tv’s everywhere for sports and news watching, is louder and fairly generic in its décor, has more typical(albeit delish) bar food, and cutesy youngsy waitresses that altho sweet, have the memory of a goldfish. It’s a preference thing. I did deduct a star cause, no prices on the beer list. Sooo, we had to ask the waitress how much ery beer is that we wanted to try and then she had to go check, then she forgot, then we remind her, then we find out after said beer is drunken. Repeat cycle with every new order. They have an extensive list of beers but would be nice to know aforehand what the price is. I know a chimay is way more expensive than a ziegen but no way to tell on the menu. Also, ALL the tables inside wobble. Believe me we tested them. I can’t complain too much cause for the first time in the 10 years of living in CP, we now have an actual choice of pretty decent bars. I just will choose the Dig.
