History

Established in 1994.

This location was originally a C-​store built in 1985. With the help of the property owner, I ran the store in 1990 — Unfortunately, we were crushed by the corporate stores and closed. Instead of filing bankruptcy, we came up with a plan to repay our debt. After a long remodel and a lot of «stuff» Checkers tavern & eatery was opened in 1994. Very long story short, our debt has been satisfied and we are still here providing our customers, old and new with a neighborly experience second to none. Good food and drink for a fair price.
