Super Skate

BAD, bad-​smelling, corroded, crumbled, crumbling, decomposed, decomposing, disgusting, disintegrated, disintegrating, festering, fetid, foul, gross, loathsome, mephitic, moldering, moldy, offensive, overripe, polluted, purulent, pustular, putrescent, putrid, rancid, rank, rotting, smelling, sour, spoiled, stale, stinking, strong, and tainted are just a few words that come to mind when visiting this place. I’ve never in my life been so disgusted walking in to a facility such as this.
DO NOT GO HERE. I MADE THAT MISTAKE ONCE!

if you are a parent, notice the outlet cover without a cover… taped up by duct tape in the children’s area…
someone from local government needs to look around there, in my opinion.
two clogged toilets when we arrived, all kinds of marginal crap everywhere.
look at it from the outside… do you think the inside is any different?

Monopolized by the only skating rink left in CR.
I miss Skate Country, does that date me?
In need of renovation badly. At least up keep.
No more duct tape on rink floor.
Needs fresh paint… everywhere.
Remove ALL the carpet, would be better just as concrete (its prob the original soiled and soda soaked carpet).
Re-​surface the benches.
Dust.
Working bathrooms or water fountains?
Remove all the ceiling tile and just paint matte black, would be so much more open.
Lights and speakers need updated.
I can go on and on.
I know this is a family ran biz, and the building and insurance is pricey and all.
But, if you want to keep patrons (besides punk kids that think they own the rink and you need to watch out for them, and your lil kids), just start out with some minor updates and managed up-​keep.
Price gets way to much to bring a family out for what you get in return.
There should be family passes or packages, or punch card, or something.
If they want more biz, they also need to give discounts to the Rollergirls and families to come out. Knowing that they skate there alone will bring out more people just to «skate with them» at leisure.
And don’t get me wrong, the owners and staff are cordial, but just need to be more open and accommodating and if they really ‘invested’ more into the place (not just money), there would be major improvements and more people.
All in all… still a place to skate and in the winter or bad days.
Just be prepared for $$, kids, punks (with bad attitudes and mouths), run down facilities, and a slim snack bar that costs (snack bars should be more, but within reason to what you get too).
I have my hopes up for Super Skate, and wish it all the best. I’ll still patron it… but would encourage more to voice their opinion to slowly start to renovate this establishment.
