La Toys Etcetera

I have shopped a few times at this store with my wife. The girls that work there is so rude even the owner. She pushes customers to other sales people whom are already overwhelmed with other customers. The store is usually messy. When looking for a toy, the shelfs are unorganized and over priced items. They also have a ridiculous 17 minute parking for customers which makes shopping painful since you have to hurry up with your purchase.

Stay away. Tude and steep prices seem to be their MOdus operandi. Nasty people. Over priced. Rude.

Came into the store in search of a gift. Previous experience has always been met with friendly and helpful staff and it’s nice to support a local business. My recent experience was anything but that. I asked the difference between two similar toys and was told to go online to research it and then come back when decided. I already been online numerous times and thought I’d get helpful insight from a staff worker at La Toys in which I had in the past. Figuring it was just one of those days, I ended up making my decision then and went with an expensive toy set costing over $ 100.
Upon check out, I realized I left my coupon home. The cashier clerk said she needed a coupon and said she’d have to charge me the full amount and when I bring the coupon back, she’d credit me. I said fine, I will just have to come back then. The sales clerk who I encountered earlier was there and told the cashier in a rude and unpleasant manner to «just give her the $ 5 off already, I’ll vouch for her» making me uncomfortable as well as the cashier clerk. I thought to myself that I should just leave but I needed the present and would not have the time again. The sales clerk (which turned out to be the owner) took over and said she needed me to bring the coupon in. I said I have no problem coming back with it, I just left it on my counter.
The next day, I returned with the coupon. There was one for $ 5 off $ 35 or more and one for $ 10 off $ 70 or more. My order was over $ 100. I presented the coupon to the same women from the previous night and mentioned that they only gave me $ 5 off, not $ 10. The cashier clerk said she already charged me and can’t give me the credit now. The sales clerk said she did me a favor by giving me the $ 5 off yesterday. I decided that I was just going to return the toy. The sales clerk said to the cashier to just give it already cause she’s going to return it. The cashier took out the $ 5, pushed it onto the counter in a very nasty way. Will never return again.
