A little hard to find, but just off Main Street. It’s a small, well furnished space. The full bar is right by the door with room for a few to sit. A friend and I went in for a quick lunch after a Silver Comet Trail ride. They were still happy to seat us, despite athletic attire. Most were dressed business casual, but there does not seem to be an expectation of anything other than reasonable dress. The cost for most mains at lunch was around $ 10, unless you want a dinner portion. Even then, still less than $ 20. The menu was wide enough, seafood, chops, steak, etc all represented, but not reaching too far. Emphasis seemed to be on executing well instead of trying to hit every possible type of food. We both had the shrimp po’ boy with house chips and it was terrific! The service was perfect! I look forward to going back at every opportunity! More than worth the drive from anywhere in Polk, Harralson, Paulding or Floyd counties– sure haven’t seen much to compare!

I had the pork tender loin with citrus annato bacon, and plantain and the chocolate cream cheese pound cake. Everything was far above my expectations.

We had lunch here on an unexpectedly busy mid week day. I love seeing a local restaurant being supported. And being busy makes it hard to keep up with the multitude of detail that is involved. I get that. So when they had run out of my first two choices I celebrated diving deeper into the menu. Pimento Cheese Appetizer-best dish we had. A+ for presentation and execution. Creamy, delicious with an unexpected green pepper jelly added. Loved the toast too. Really good. Fried green tomatoes had a strange texture. My chicken sandwich was missing both the arugula and basil which had been the reason I’d chosen it. House chips were over cooked. Great beer and wine choices and the cocktail list looked fun. In spite of some disappointment this place is worth seeking out.

Fantastic food. Great service! Every item on the menu is well thought and executed even better. What a great little gem in Cedartown, Georgia. If you’re passing through, this is the place to stop. If you live in town, this is a place to support. If you’re neither, this is a place with planning a little drive for. Always happily surprised with the bar service. Creative cocktails to go with a creative menu. Now I want a Mississippi Mule!

A true«hidden gem,» Cedar & Smoke is just an hour or so from Atlanta’s generic north suburbs but seems a world away. It’s family owned and staffed and the friendly and efficient service shows it. Everybody from the chef to the hostess is intent of having you enjoy your meal here. They smoke their own meats and I sampled the brisket and had the smoked chicken sandwich and both were excellent. These are southern classics with a modern, yet unpretentious modern twist. The mushroom gravy for my companion’s hamburger steak was wonderful. If you need a break from Atlanta’s madness or are just passing through, you can’t go wrong stopping here.

Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. The chefs father came to our table almost immediately. He was a total Southern gentleman. Gracious and accommodating and a very proud father and host. We started with a salad each. He, with a garden with smoky Russian dressing-like thousand island but lighter. I had the beet salad which I love. We also had mini home made biscuits with sorghum butter. Good stuff. For my entrée I had the shrimp and grits with tomato butter sauce. Excellent! He had an amazing juicy and tender pork chop with greens marinated in white wine with a side of Mac and cheese. They have a somewhat full bar, wine and beer. Restrooms are clean and nice. Love this place. So happy a fine restaurant such as this has come to Cedartown. Thanks.

When trying a new restaurant, I always read the reviews but rarely ever leave one. For this place, I will make an exception. What a GEM in Cedartown! I had seen an article in the paper when this opened several weeks ago, so when my mom and I met here earlier tonight I wasn’t sure what to expect. Impressive selection of drinks and cocktails. Outdoor patio looked perfect with plants and string lights overhead. We each ordered one of the specials– the NC Rainbow trout and Beef Tenderloin medallions– both exceptional. Even the homemade rolls and sorghum butter were delicious. Service was great as well– our drinks were never empty and the server knew the menu well and made great suggestions. Saved room for dessert and ordered the Hummingbird Cake– it was perfectly moist and the cream cheese icing was just perfect. It’s always refreshing to leave a restaurant and be perfectly satisfied with the whole experience. I will definitely make the drive from Carrollton again in the future.

Stopped in randomly for dinner on our way through Cedartown. Really great experience — food, drinks and service exceeded expectations. The seared pork tenderloin with sweet potato grits was perfect!

Great restaurant in Cedartown. I’ve only been at lunch time, but tried several things. It’s the only upscale restaurant in town, which automatically sets it apart from other places. Great entrée choices for lunch and the dinner entrees look very intriguing with unique flavors. Craft cocktails and craft beer are a great touch to the menu since nowhere else in town offers them. Can’t wait to try it out for dinner!
