Performance Cycle of Colorado

Awesome place. Super friendly staff and super nice showroom. We are from Houston, Tx and we were at Thunder Valley MX for the Loretta Lynn’s Regionals. My son forgot our extra handlebars at home and of course he crashed and bent his bars. I called Performance Cycle Saturday about 3:00 to see if they would have anyone coming out to Thunder Valley. They said yes and ended up having the bars and grips we wanted in stock. I paid over the phone and the owner brought them to me at the track that evening. He went 20 to 30 miles one way out of his way for a $ 97.00 order. Excellent service.

Very friendly staff and excellent product selections from dirt to street. The new space is awesome! The parts department is very helpful too, don’t ever hesitate to ask for help!

Very good store to shop at for all your motorcycle gear. Though I wish they had more gear for women. James was a great help!

I had never been to Performance Cycle until their Grand Opening this month. What an experience! So many vendors were on-​site to answer questions and giving out great freebies. The cheerleaders were a nice touch. Despite the large crowds and long lines, the employee customer service was exceptional. They were even handing out bottled water while waiting to checkout. The facility is top-​notch with an incedible selection to choose from. Will definitely be a returning customer.

A great place until you want to return something. I bought an Arai helmet that I was told had a 5 year warranty. Turns out that when I went to register with Arai because of the manufacture date being so old that it only had a 3.5 year warranty. I understand their no-​return helmet policy, but this was clearly a deviation due to the helmet being sold as something it was not. I was told it had a 5 year warranty which it did not. I called them and they tried to «help» me by telling me what a great deal I got (just go away) and that I should exchange it for something else they sell that costs more and is a color I didn’t want. I offered that if they discounted it a little more in exchange for the shortened warranty I’d be amenable to that. No dice, once they have your money it’s a done deal. They finally relented and let me return it for a refund only because I had not worn it on the bike. So the short story is be very careful what you buy here, they will try very hard to deny your returns. As for me I will no longer be a customer, I don’t like feeling like they are doing me a favor by correcting their mistake or accepting a return. There are plenty of other places to shop in Denver and there is nothing here you can’t buy anywhere else or online, usually for less.

These folks are just great. Everyone in the store is more than happy to help you with whatever you are looking for. We found the right chest proctor, gloves, and a Rockn’ pair of Alpine Star boots. Thank you all for such a great time in your beautiful new store. We are getting ready to ride the Mexican 1000 the end of April. Let you know how we finish!!! Ride on and on

I’m new to the world of motorcycles, and I’ve gone to a couple of other places where I felt like I was wasting their time. I found Performance Cycle kind of accidentally while researching some gear online, and was impressed with their pricing.
I went down yesterday to check out some riding gear. I was greeted by Ray, and I explained what I was looking for and my budget. He spent well over an hour with me explaining the ins and outs of the pants and helmets I tried on, and was as helpful as could be. I was impressed, too, that the pants and helmet that I bought were both cheaper here than my normal online source (Amazon). All in all a great buying experience, and I’ll definitely be back.

I have been buying from Donnie and Bernie for years. Even back when they were located near the Burger King. I bought parts. Boots, some Riding gear. Tires. Dyno Tune after they moved to their current location.. They do not do any Bike Service any more… Donnie has always been nice to me, but when he was not around, I got very bad Customer Service and did not feel welcome …. So. I quit frequenting the store. Bye…

My brother and I shop at this store whenever we need ANYTHING for our motorcycles. Great customer service, and amazing selection. When i purchased my last helmet, the staff was super helpful in assisting me with finding the correct size i needed. Id like to see them carry a few more brands with helmets and gloves, but the selection is still great. I want to see them carry Simpson Helmets :)

I hadn’t been here in years. The staff was EXCEPTIONALLY knowledgable and the stock was unbelievably extensive. The sales people were honest and direct. Honest is the best noun I can think of to describe everyone I met.

This is one of my all time favorite privately owned businesses I have been associated with and I am not a young guy. When they move to their much larger building next month, they should even be better than before. This is a family owned business and has the most friendly sales staff you could possible want. Kudos for all of your assistance over the years.

Great customer service. Is like to thank the team members in the parts department for helping me with replacing my head light on my motorcycle. It was my first time doing this myself, and the team at performance was very helpful in helping me find everything I needed. Fast, friendly, and informative.

These are at the top of their game. Online store with live inventory so you can see what is in stock before you go to the store. Great for me because its an hour drive to get there. They have a chat service that is always helpful and staffed by ‘real people’.
When you go to the store the customer service continues to be excellent. I had purchased a helmet that had a defect. They sent it to the manufacturer who opted to replace it. Store pulled their own inventory and set it aside for me.
I have brought several wheels here for tire replacement… They are always very quick about the turn around, often times their in-​store prices on tires are cheaper than online stores so I can save a step. Not one of them has come out with paint damage. I can’t say the same for another area shop which held my wheel for 6 hours and it came up with all kinds of pain chipped off.

Amazing. I was at home in Kansas City, surfing for a motorcycle vest and landed on the site of Performance Cycle. A chat agent popped up and asked if I needed help. Dubious, I asked if it was a real person on the other end, and was assured it was. I asked for the measurement of the vest from neck to waist, and within a few minutes, he gave me the answer. We were heading to Denver in a couple of weeks anyway, so rather than risk ordering online and the vest not fitting, I opted to wait and make a visit to the store. Everyone was so nice, the selection was great, and they were able to special order a jacket that caught my eye, which came in before we had to head back to KC. Bottom line, we walked away with not only the vest as intended, but also a new jacket and my hubs also scooped up a great pair of boots! Thanks, Performance Cycle!

I have been coming to Performance Cycle for years for all sorts of small parts and last-​minute gear purchases. They are my go-​to shop for chain lube, fork oil and maintenance parts and I like to browse their gear on occasion to see what’s new. I have always had good service when getting these items.
My problems with Performance arise when I want to have tires fitted. They offer a service, for $ 25, I can bring in my tires and wheels and they will install them for me. That’s great. Changing tires isn’t fun. For $ 25, I’ll let them do it and save my back and my rim from damage. I ride an old Yamaha Seca II which has been heavily modified. It no longer has the stock wheel sizes, stock fork, tail, etc. It’s a one-​off bike and I like it that way. So when I buy tires, I get them online. That let’s me search by size and get the best tires available within my size requirement.
When I find time, I take the wheels and tires to Performance and carry them in. The clerk usually starts writing up what the wheels are while I walk back to the car to get the tires. When I get back in with the tires, that’s when the attack starts. I get berated for not buying the tires from them, get the lecture on how they could get the tires for the same price I paid elsewhere, and generally scolded for having the audacity to bring in tires from another place. For 15 minutes, I stand there while they make me feel like the world’s biggest moron. Finally, I apologize for not getting tires from them and we all move on. They install the tires, charge me the associated fees for installation, disposal and new cores and I go my merry way. Their tire installation is always done well. Their tire customer service, well, its not great.
I’d like to tell you this is a one-​off situation but the past three tire installations have gone exactly the same way. It’s to the point that I dread taking tires to them in the same way one dreads going to the DMV. That’s not right, Performance. You shouldn’t scold your customers for not buying tires from you. Instead, perhaps, change your website so that I can search by tire size and show me tires that are available, even if you don’t have them in stock. Let me buy them from your online store and have them shipped to your actual store. Call me when they come in and I’ll bring my wheels to have them installed. Fix the problem. But don’t lecture me and make me feel stupid for buying tires elsewhere. And if you don’t want me bringing in tires I bought elsewhere, simply discontinue the service.
If you are looking for off-​the shelf parts for your stock bike or don’t mind making three trips to get tires ordered and fitted, this store isn’t bad. But their attitude toward their tire service is horrible. Fix that, Performance, and you’d be my one-​stop-​shop.

My wife is hard to fit as far as motorcycle helmets go. The sales person helped her get the right helmet. He even changed out the padding to get it perfect. There is always a lot of staff there to help you. Man they have a huge selection of gear helmets jackets boots tires ect. The best in town. Prices are close to internet low with the bonus of service.

For a local shop this place is awesome and carries a wide variety of products. Good customer service. It’s nice to be able to go in the store and try stuff on. You can still get stuff online for cheaper but they have great prices and will get you fitted with exactly what you need.

I have been riding motorcycles for nearly 15 years and have been a customer of this establishment for over half of that time. I love this store’s prices and gear selection. Their staff has always proven to be knowledgeable and, above all else, very friendly. I see no reason to look elsewhere for purchasing motorcycle gear in Colorado.
I cannot wait for their new store to open later this year. It is said that one can’t improve on perfection but I have the feeling that these folks will find a way to do so.

I just bought a dirt bike, don’t know much about them. I went here to get some riding gear and the staff was awesome. They gave me a bunch of information so I could make an informed decision. They didn’t push me to the most expensive stuff, but explained why it is more and also offered me some options that were now «old» (last years models). I bought a helmet and will be back to buy a lot more stuff in the season to come. It has a warehouse feel, with stock out on the sales floor so you can see if they have items in your size rather than waiting for someone to go check in the back.
Great experience. Prices were reasonable and competitive.

After my very first visit and a fantastic Roland Sands leather jacket purchase about a week ago, I made the trip back to Performance from Colorado Springs, not once, but twice. Both times were for more shopping and feeling like a kid in a huge candy store. Still finding that nothing has changed, huge inventory, parts, accessories and new products everywhere. I still have not seen everything. And, also unchanged — the Staff has exceptional customer service skills and terrific product knowledge. Too bad other stores cannot copy this model. Someone in Management knows the ropes when it comes to hiring great employees with great customer service skills.

As a beginner motorcyclist, I had no idea where to even begin to look for proper motorcycling gear and accessories. Luckily, Unilocal lead me here!
Jesus helped me find the right helmet that fit comfortably and was competitively priced compared to other stores. I ended up leaving the store with a jacket and helmet that I know will serve me well. Jesus also helped me order a new exhaust slip-​on, a pair of boots, and under glow lights that had to be special ordered.
I did not feel hassled or pressured to buy anything and every person that assisted me was quite knowledgable on the products they sell and were all extremely nice and personable. This is the only place I will go to buy motorcycle parts and accessories as the customer service is unbeatable!

Compared to my other big store motorcycle business, FM in Centennial, this place so rocks! I was referred here with my husband saying they had good selection and good pricing, but the customer service was a little sketchy! My referer should have been with us today. We were shopping for helmets and intercom systems. Our firts approach was from Jarrett and he became the gold standard for customer service! He was very helpful, knew the products, went the extra mile to check inventory for the helmet (specifically size) I needed. His was the only person whose name I got, but glad I can recognize him on Unilocal.As we wandered, discussed the products and made our decision, no fewer than 4 other folks came by to make sure we were doing ok and and the answers and information we needed. Not overbearing, just good old helpful.
Their inventory was excellent. I high recommend Performance Cycle!

Outstanding customer service each and every time I go there. I normally buy my stuff from Harley Davidson shops. This place does a great job of helping older Harley riders with helmets with Bluetooth and many other items that make riding even more enjoyable. I always feel like they listen to what I am asking for point out a product then explain back to me why that is what I am looking for. They also help with setting it up and making sure it works before leaving the store. I also appreciate that there is no negative attitudes towards people who ride different types of bikes. Harley people sometimes can shitty to people on metric bikes. Hell, I don’t care what you ride as long as everyone is being safe and having fun.

I live in Massachusetts and performance cycle of Colorado had an unbeatable price on a specific kind of dual sport tire I was looking for. However the front size I needed was out of stock. I called the store and they were very helpful. They called me back later the same day to let me know when the tire would be available. They even pushed one into the system on their website so I could pre order it. Thanks for the great customer service performance cycle. I’ll be patiently waiting for my new tires to arrive.

I keep trying to give these guys a chance to earn some business from me.
I recently started looking into what a heated clothing setup would run me. It looks like it’d be close to $ 500 for a basic set with a vest and some gloves and the associated control hardware. I priced everything out online to get an idea and then called up Performance Cycle to see what sort of pricing they had. The customer rep I interacted with on the phone said they could put together a package discount but I’d have to come in store, «get everything on the computer», and then they’d be able to figure that out.
Leaving work I was able to get there with 10 minutes to spare before closing. I was instantly greeted by another rep. I told them I knew what I was looking for and didn’t want to keep them later than closing. They showed me the heated gear and I started asking questions around the setup and how it was wired. There was some stumbling in the answers but that’s ok, I don’t expect everyone to be an expert. At that time another rep came up and said they recognized me (helped me with some tire mounting a few weeks earlier) and that they were the one who had spoken to me on the phone earlier that day. The first rep wandered off to go help another individual.
The new rep and I were talking once again about details and I was given an apologetic message about the other rep. First rep wanders around the corner and has a bit of attitude about knowing their stuff because they had worked the shop for years. /​shrug — I don’t even feel slighted by it but it certainly falls on the unprofessional side of the spectrum; given they were incorrect.
Moving on. I ended up going up front to see what the damage would. I asked what they could do for a package deal as that’s what I had been curious about on the phone (and told to come in store). After some nervous head movement from the rep, I was told they weren’t able to discount and would have to talk to a manager. I assume that was Don. I was told second hand that they wouldn’t be able to do a package price and they’d sell all of it easily in the coming months. OK, fine, not even mad — I get roped into coming down and given the old switcharoo. I believe it’s just an over eager sales rep as opposed to anything malicious; still annoying.
I don’t think I ask for much. I already know the internet retailers are going to be more competitive in base price, total price (no additional tax), and return policy — but am usually willing to give the local guys a shot if they’re willing to be even somewhat flexible. Even full retail isn’t that inflamatory if the reps know what they’re talking about.
I could have ordered the exact setup I wanted online without having to deal with rush hour traffic, saving money, gas, and time.
As the two star line sample line read, «meh — I’ve experienced better.»
oh and the tire mounting price has gone up 25%.
