RISE Baking Company

I am so bummed! I decided to check out RISE this morning after reading the reviews and seeing their website. I was looking for a nice little bakery/​coffee shop to have a treat, a drink and relax for a little bit.
When I walked in, I was the only person there. There was like 3 things in the pastry display case. I was very disappointed in the selection. I decided I would just grab a drink and take it with me instead. I ordered a small drink, that cost nearly $ 5.
The lady at the counter was nice and friendly but the atmosphere was not very cozy and the selection was poor. I will not be back unfortunately.

Just received our special order of Valentines Day Cookies here in Orange County Calif and special birthday cookies for our friend Gary he was thrilled and touched by the special cookies made especially for him. Another knockout by Rise Baking Co and Chef Joshua Riggs! Thank you once again!

Rise was really fantastic when it opened, but has gone downhill in the last few months. Suze, the front counter person was incredibly friendly, helpful and competent. I really got the feeling that they were trying to build a neighborhood staple business; every time I went in, it was getting busier and busier.
Then, for some inexplicable reason, Suze left (I thought she was part owner, but whatever) and things at Rise started to change. Every single time I order anything, the new girl is flustered and confused, as if I’m throwing her a curve by ordering coffee AND food. Advanced coffee drinks are now meh (they have a badass espresso machine, so I know it’s not that). It’s not nearly as busy; sometimes there’s not even anyone at the front counter. The display cases are mostly empty now, which is weird and sort of sad, and the quality of some of the food has gone downhill (which is also weird, because Suze didn’t make the food, IIUC).
I know they’re trying, so I didn’t give them a 1 star rating, but it’s such a pain in the ass to get what I want that I really just don’t go there any more. Bring back Suze and you bring back my business (or just fix the broken shit).

Came in here to check it out based on a recommendation. I ordered a coffee which was great and then decided to order a birthday cake. It was hands down the best birthday cake I’ve had yet in the Denver area! Just ordered some bread, croissants, and a pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. I’m sure it will all be delicious! You must try this place!

I love this place! Venetian Cream is their special cold brew coffee that is out of this world. It is so creamy and tasty, and if you like caffeine it will give you an extra burst. They also serve a coconut lemonade that is very fresh and not too sweet. They have a couple of gluten free options. Crustless quiche, and delicious pumpkin spice muffins and then they rotate other things in.
My kids really enjoyed the breakfast burritos. If you are a chocoholic like me I recommend the chocolate pot de crème. Wow is that intense creamy chocolate!
This place is tucked back into a quiet corner so that when the weather is good you have a quiet place to sit outside and enjoy your coffee.
The proprietor Suze is so friendly and inviting you feel like you want to come back every day just to visit with her.

Come in here late to get some croissants and lemon poppy seed muffins. This place is great! The croissants were perfect and the muffins were nice and moist. I am so glad this cute bakery came to
This area because we needed it. The girl that worked there was so nice! She even gave me an extra muffin because it was the end of the day!

It’s rare to find a local, independent bakery producing high quality European style pastries. I had a delicious, flaky almond danish with some refreshing cold-​brew coffee. This place is a gem and has plenty of indoor seating and study/​work space (a necessity for me). The quality here leaves chains like Corner Bakery in the dust. I found a new favorite spot!

Amazing iced coffee, lattes, and baked goods — especially the cinnamon roll! Can be hard to spot, but it’s worth getting a little lost to land at this relaxing, delicious café.

LOVE this place. Had some quiche and amazing jasmine iced tea. I’ll be back. So glad I spotted this little gem. It’s kind of tucked away!

I just discovered this little gem. It is a short walk from my mom’s house, and is exactly what the doctor ordered — nice tranquil patio area far from traffic, where you can sit and read a book or have a chat; nice inside areas to sit and do those coffee shop things (free wifi); lovely pastries (although I’m not big on that), and fantastic coffee. I had a small americano while my wife and daughter had some sweet things; and it came in a warmed ceramic mug with a saucer. Excellent flavor, from a local roasting company. Just right. I will be back many times.

So today a coworker brought in this chocolate cookie cheesecake that came from this bakery.
This was hands down the BEST cheesecake I have ever had in my life! I was able to bring a piece home to the hubby, who’s not that big on desserts, however, he devoured this! Amazing Amazing Amazing! Thank you for your talents!

Super cute addition to the neighborhood hiding away in the NE corner behind the Shell station. Come in for a croissant, stay for a cappuccino. Suze and Josh were friendly and fantastic.
