Spavia Day Spa

I have been getting monthly facials from Michelle for about four years. She is amazing! I am also very happy with Spavia and the membership program. The locker room is always clean, the rooms are dim and the linens luxurious. I like the products that Spavia uses, too.
The front desk staff is always helpful and friendly. The one time that I did have a problem – a new employee charged me the full price for a facial instead of putting just the gratuity on my card – it was a giant mess, but the manager worked patiently to get it resolved.
I have never had a massage at Spavia, as I prefer my aches and pains to be brutally pounded and twisted by relentless Chinese ladies, but I am sure that the massages are on a par with the facials. I definitely recommend this day spa at this location. I have never gotten the feeling that it is part of a chain, which is nice.

I’ve been in many spas before, this spa is really amazing. I decided to try them as I’m driving south now more often and it is a big commute. I liked that I was able to book online. The ambience was very relaxing, I arrived early so I got to wait on a nice waiting area were many herbal teas where available. My massage therapist was great, she knew my name and ask me what areas I wanted her to focus on. I was a little chilly after few minutes, and as I mentioned it to Stephanie, my therapist, she immediately turned up a space heater that was in the room, what a great surprise!!! I used an introductory offer, I just paid $ 49 for an amazing massage. Right what I needed before driving back home.
They offered me to join their wellness program, I might join it soon.

I am a member and have been here five times now. I plan on returning, and hopefully updating my review, but I had such an unacceptable experience yesterday, I had to write my first review for this business. Before I speak of yesterday’s massage, I will say that I have had a great massage, 2 good massages and a so-​so massage in my prior visits. It is very provider-​specific.
Yesterday, I worked with Molly for the first time for my standard 60-​minute deep tissue massage. She was friendly. I’m pretty shy when it comes to these kinds of things, and rarely speak up. She asked how the pressure was (it was definitely not «deep»), so I asked for a bit more. She likes to use her elbows, which I’m okay with. Except she proceeded to GRATE her elbows across my bones! My spine, my scapula and my RIBS! It was terrible. Shy as I may be, I finally had to ask her to stop. The really bad part though is she kept «slipping off» the knot she was working on. I’ve likely had about 50 massages before, and I’ve only ever experienced this once before. It seriously happened at least 30 times. Her time management was also poor. I will be the first to admit that I am tight all over. When she had me turn onto my back, she pressed on my legs a bit, rubbed my traps, and then said we were out of time! What? No good shoulder work, no neck or head massage whatsoever! I don’t expect my provider to be able to work out every knot, but she didn’t work out anything in particular, and still wasn’t able to move along efficiently.
So, I just chalked this up to a bad massage, and vowed to only see the person here who gave me my excellent massage in the past. I was going to gently mention something at the reception desk when they asked their obligatory, «how was everything?». Unfortunately, one girl was on the phone and the other was helping a client check in, so I just grabbed one of the little envelopes myself to put my tip in, and I went home.
After dinner, I noticed my left posterior rib cage hurt every time I took in a breath. Quite sharply! I don’t regularly take pain relievers, but had to take ibuprofen before bed. Today, my back is in knots (not just tight, per my norm), my skin and tissue is just general sore all over), my hamstrings are sore to the point they feel like they’re bruised (this was the area I finally asked her to stop elbowing me), and it still hurts to breathe. I’m new to the area, and wasn’t able to get in to see a chiropractor until next Tuesday (that’s what helped the one other time this happened to me), and I feel like I really need to get in for another massage for someone to undo the damage Molly did.
I hope she is new. That is the only excuse I feel is acceptable. I honestly believe that she is unsafe, and has no business doing deep tissue on clients. The way she would continually «slip off» my knots was amateur, and what I believe put me in the state I now am. If I ever have another experience like this at Spavia, I will not return. Please be careful if you schedule with her!

I love coming here! Never a bad experience. It’s always so relaxing and the people who work here and friendly and welcoming.

I have been a member for a year and a half. I go twice a month for massages from Stephanie who is the best massage therapist I have ever used for service. She is far better than any chiropractor I’ve visited. I am by nature a pretty «cheap» person, but this is worth the money.
Lindsey does my facials and she is wonderful as well. I recommend them both very highly. The whole staff at the desk are the best. Samantha has gone out of her way to get me the most out of membership. She gets me scheduled ahead so I can have my favorite times.
I «hate» recommending them so highly because it will be harder to get in!

Worth it! I truly enjoyed my relaxing experience here thanks to my masseuse Samantha. Relaxing setting you feel at peace.

I went to Spavia in February and did one of the packages as a birthday gift. It was a incredibly relaxing. Everyone was very friendly, courteous and helpful from the moment I walked in until I left. The changing room is nice, not large but plenty of room. There is a shower available, changing rooms and lockers for valuables, soft robe and slippers to use during your stay. The meditation room when you wait for your technician is peaceful with an assortment of teas and nuts. They even had «green tea mints» which I thought were just perfect to have before my treatments. The only thing that would have made this better in my opinion is if they had a hot tub or sauna. I really love to soak in a jetted tub before I have a massage. And being that this is advertized as a day spa I did hope that they would have had one or the other. They don’t, so that is my only knock from 5 stars to 4 stars. Just my personal expectation of a «day spa».
First I had an 80 minute hot stone massage with Diane. She was fantastic. I really liked that they ask you upfront when you fill out paperwork if you want conversation or not during your massage. I noted that I’m fine with conversation if I initiate it. Most the time I really want to just relax, decompress and disappear for a bit. Diane allowed me to do just that. Her pressure was exactly as I requested. I would definately come to her again.
Next came lunch. My package included lunch and there was a choice of salads or sandwiches they order from a local place. I got a salad, the portion was perfect and it was delicious. This was also enjoyed in the waiting room.
Last I had a vita-​c radiance facial with Jamie. Oh I abosolutely loved her. I will make a point of getting on her schedule in the future. When I asked for suggestions on home care she made some good ones (even one to get rid of spiders). I use a lot of essential oils and holistic methods at home, as does she, so we were able to share ideas for each other.
When I checked out I was told about the membership options but there was no pressure. Neither of my specialists nor the receiption made me feel pressured at all to buy the membership. I did end up buying it because it really is a good value if you plan to have a massage or facial monthly. Or if you skip a month you can do a massage and facial together which is a very nice treat to yourself once in a while. Looking forward to my next visit with them.

Spavia Day Spa is out of this world. This experience is awesome! They treat you like a royal princess. When you first come in they seat you in a waiting area with your own dressing locker and a locker to lock up your clothes and
Valuables, give you a white robe for your session and also loan you a pair of sandles, where you wait you are offered teas, coffees, or cold water.

Got a Vitamin C facial from Michelle and a massage from Stephanie — both awesome. Had a great experience and will definitely go again soon.

I signed up for a deep cleanse Premier facial with Alexandra and it burned my face. It hurts, is bumpy and scaly. Sadly, I’ve called three times trying to talk with the manager and I keep getting the run around with the promise of a return phone call, which never happens. It’s the holiday’s and I have lots of parties and family gatherings, not to mention having to go into work looking like a lizard. I’m extremely upset and disappointed. I will not recommend Spavia to anyone — once you walk out those doors, they don’t care.

I’ve been a member for a year. Every month I do a facial microdermabrasion and a deep tissue body massage. Good service, clean, attentive to details and my needs. I recommend it.

Took my sister here last Saturday and we both received the detox renewal wrap. My technician (I believe her name was Jamie) was wonderful and I would give her 5 stars. My 2 star rating is for the facilities, super small locker room, and my sister’s service started late by 20 minutes.
I would only book an appointment during the week because the locker room changing area is just too small for being there on the weekend… more than 3 people is already packed. I’ve never been to a spa that had this small of a locker room.
Our appointments were both supposed to start at 11:30 am, but my sister’s didn’t start until 20 minutes later. Her service wasn’t cut short but we both didn’t appreciate the late start. I spoke to the front desk about it and the gal was apologetic.
Overall, our experience was so-so…I’ve definitely experienced better. Next time I’m going to try out a different spa.

Everyone was very friendly.
I really liked the different teas they have I’m the waiting room. I have some of them at home like the Get Gorgeous and Republic of Tea. Also have snacks, Chocolate chips, Almonds and Tea breath mints.
I also really liked their spa sandals.
Nice changing area with washcloths, Shower, Blowdryer etc.
The Sheets were the most comfortable sheets on a massage table I have ever encountered, and the massage was great!
You get to choose your own music and Lotion scent.
I got a membership and can’t wait to go back.

SCORE! HOLE IN ONE! HOMERUN! TOUCHDOWN! GOAAAAALLLLL! Why am I using sports analogies for a spa? Not sure, but it was the only way I could really say that this place is truly awesome. I am new to town and needed to find a spa that would meet the high bar that my spa in Reno set. I believe I have found it at Spavia. The interior is clean and serene. The locker room (ah — there’s where the analogy fits) is beautiful, lots of elegant touches, including a thick, fluffy robe and slippers, to make you feel like you are going to be pampered. Everyone who greeted me was friendly and said they were glad to have me there. The quiet meditation room is complete with waterfall, water, tea, and light snacks.
I did a 100 minute ultimate massage (sadly, not because I play sports, but because moving is stressful!) with Deborah. She was AMAZING. She made it very clear that my comfort and relaxation was her concern. I’ve had a lot of massages in the past 12 years, and I really feel like Deborah is one of the best. I immediately felt a connection to her. Her work is thorough, the pressure and pace are perfect, and she is a genuinely kind and caring person. I feel absolutely amazing after my session with her.
I liked it so much I signed up for the Ultimate membership (which offers really stellar discounts for your loyalty, very easy terms, as well), and I am getting a facial and waxing next week.
You owe it to yourself to try this spa! They have several locations throughout the Denver metro area.

After a very bumpy start with this company, I am so happy to update my review to reflect the actual massage services! If you read my previous reviews, you’ll understand the bumps I’m referring to, but what actually got me in the door this weekend was the owner reaching out to me directly last month (almost a year since my negative experience), and here is a snippet of her message to me:
«I have recently read your review and I was very saddened to hear of your dissatisfaction. Because of this, I wanted to personally reach out and offer my sincerest apologies for the customer service that you experienced. We are here to pamper you and make you feel relaxed and valued, whether it be during the service or when interacting with the staff. I would love the opportunity to show that my team is exceptional and that you can enjoy a spa experience with us.» –Allison, Owner
Ultimately, I took her up on her offer to enjoy a massage there, and I’m so glad I did because I was blown away! They offer a monthly membership similar to national chain Massage Envy for the same price of $ 49 for 60 minute massage, but they bring their massage experience to the next level! The facility is immaculately clean with lots of little details attended to, and they were very busy and managed it very well.
First, I loved their profile sheet they have you complete. It actually asks you about your preference for conversation during your massage which I appreciate because it eliminates the awkwardness if you have a chatty masseuse and you’re not quite sure how to ask them to tone it down while you relax. I was able to check a box that indicated I preferred no chatting. And you can pick your music!
Second, you get to choose the scent of the lotion they use for your massage. They had 5 or 6 scents including citrus and lavender– so nice to have a choice! I chose citrus and found it mild and uplifting.
Third, you get to change into an actual bathrobe, in a very nicely appointed bathroom/​changing room with lockers, and then sit in a relaxation room that has lovely books of inspiration and positive thinking, as well as water, tea and breath mints. The mints are definitely a nice touch. I think I also saw chocolate chips– um, okay :) Made me wish I’d gotten there much earlier just to lounge in a robe longer.
Finally, when the massage therapist comes to get you she puts a warm shoulder wrap on you to warm up your shoulder muscles for the massage– brilliant! Then, when you get to the room (which is nicely done) the first thing she asks is how she can make my massage a great experience (or something along those lines). It was such a kinder approach than how other massage places ask a similar question as to what to focus on, etc. She even made sure I was ok with the music as it was a little different than described on the profile.
All of those touches put this place way above most spa/​massage locations. I’ve never even experienced half those touches at 5 star hotel spas! The massage itself was incredible, and I highly recommend Stephanie. She listened to me and gave me a very relaxing massage with the perfect, feathery-​light touch I’d requested.
Even though I was invited to visit by the owner personally, I don’t feel like I was given any sort of preferential treatment. That is a really important part of my whole experience was that I know no one on the staff knew me as anyone different than all the other customers; and I certainly can’t be bought, so don’t worry about that– I am reviewing this the same as if I’d walked in off the street for a massage. I had such a great experience here that I’m thinking of getting my husband and myself a membership as a gift to each other for our 10 year anniversary in September! I’ve been a member of Massage Envy and would choose Spavia over them any day. So, thank you to Allison for reaching out to me– I think every good business owner strives to make sure all customers, prospective or otherwise, have the experience the business represents and she came through on this in a major way.

This was my first visit to Spavia, but it definitely will not be my last. Veronica was my massage therapist and she was very thorough about how much pressure I wanted and what areas I wanted her to concentrate on. She did a great massage and was very professional in her demeanor. They give you a questionnaire that asks which scent of lotion you want (definitely try the cranberry and citrus), what kind of music you would like and whether or not you wish to talk while getting a massage. What a great concept, find out what your customer wants ahead of time! Great experience!

Spavia still keeps its 4 star rating for me :) They could bump up to 5 stars if they had a bigger locker room (super cramped if you have more than 2 – 3 ppl getting ready) and got all my appointments right (they have «messed» up 2x’s before moving my time and therapist — which can be annoying).
Still, they are friendly, conveniently located near the mall (Park Meadows) and still have the most reasonable rates if you want a membership type deal (believe me I just looked again and what I get for $ 65/​mo here is usually $ 80+ everywhere else!).
I did the hot stone massage today. I have always meant to try it and finally took the leap. It was very different. Not at all what I expected. I can see it being heavenly on a cold snowy day (and hellish on a hot one). If you don’t know what the hot stone massage is, they heat up flat stones in water and place them at key points of your body to relax and warm the muscles. They also use the stones as the vehicles for the actual massage — running them over your body. These hot little devils give a wonderful Ow-​oh-​ahhhh sensation. I absolutely loved them on my feet, she put hot small stones between my toes and I just melted! One warning — they do have to use actual massage oil (not lotion) to get the stones to run smoothly across your body so you will come out a bit greasier than usual!
At any rate. I am still a fan! Yay!

I’ve been getting massages for years because I have a desk job and it always seems like my neck or back is killing me. My wife joined Spavia as a monthly auto memeber ($ 65/​mth) and then you have the ability to «bring a friend» and the friend pays $ 39/​mth for the same $ 65/​mth treatments. So I get a 60 minute massage for $ 39. I usually upgrade it to the 80 minute massage for $ 20 more.
This is hands-​down the best massage I’ve ever had. After working my way thru several of the masseuse’s I settled on Karissa and she is the best I’ve ever had. My back always feels amazing when I’m done and I feel so relaxed I could just fall to sleep.
The receptionist’s are always nice and recognize me and the «retreat» you go to to wait for your appointment is nice and relaxing. After you’ve undressed in the locker rom and are relaxing with your robe on the receptionist will come in with a hot wrap for your neck and you can just sit there and wait for the relaxation to happen.
Love the place!
