Follow up: The next day I ate the second half of my corn beef with coleslaw and Swiss cheese sandwich. It wasn’t bad at all. Just not what I had expected but it’s definitely acceptable. I would likely go back to try something else because their service was good and their prices were reasonable. I would just avoid ordering anything that needs ketchup because the ketchup they serve is thin and runny.

I was in the area and stopped in the other day, simply on the recommendations from Unilocal.I am glad i did. This by far was the best corned beef I have had in quite sometime. I asked the waitress to order me a sandwich if she had the choice… and she made a great choice. The corned beef was cooked perfectly, the cheese was a perfect complement, the thousand island was not overwhelming or to much. The sandwich was huge and a great value. Service was friendly and the cook was very fast. I am glad I stopped in and will ensure to visit again soon.

This place has amazing corned beef! I would have given it 5 stars but there was a lot going on when i got there some construction and some confusion as to who would be our waitress. I was really impressed with this place. The atmosphere was nice and they really put care into the food that they make. It was affordable. For a huge corned beef sandwhich it was only 8 dollars. The sign says«best corned beef» and i must admit that it was in my top 5 and i am a corned beef lover. While our waitress wasnt the best in the world she did her job and we got our food quickly and pleasantly. I’m not a huge fan of the«take your bill to the cashier yourself» thing it’s confusing and we sat there for a while waiting for her to pick up our payment. The chef was busy but he got us our food in a timely manner. Overall I’m pretty impressed and i will return for sure!

I do not understand the rave reviews given here. This was THE worst pastrami sandwich I have ever eaten. It was so dry I feel like it sat out to dry for a week to the point I almost choked on it. Save your money, go to House of Reuben or Louie’s Ham and Corned Beef. This was a royal disappointment and waste of money.

I went for the first time today for lunch. Very good corned beef on rye with thousand island dressing. Cole slaw was flavored well and cold. I will be going back. Lunch and a coke was $ 11.

Passed by this place too many times to count! Wanted a really good corned beef sandwich, my mother had recommended this place often. OMGNY style corned beef was just the way I liked it. Hot, lean, gooey Swiss, toasted rye and huge. Absolutely, the best corned beef in Metro Detroit. Never again will I be subjected to the dry corned beef sandwiches from BB! Oh, and the fries! They absolutely the way I like them.

Great navy bean soup and the combo cornbread/pastrami sandwich was to die for! Carnigies and Kats in NY have nothing on this 1lb. Sandwich.

I was really hungry and searching for a place close to home for a quick bite. A quick check of my Unilocal app let me know that Martin’s was the place I needed to try for a quick and tasty deli sandwich. I just had my first King Pleasure(corned beef with Swiss, cole slaw, and thousand island on an onion roll) from Martin’s, and let me just say, OMG that thing was awesome! The corned beef was piping hot and lean, the bottom of the onion roll was warm and crisp from grilling, the coleslaw was awesome, and the combination of the three =food coma. I eat this sandwich fairly often, from different places, but this was hands down one of the best I’ve had… EVER.

Swung in here for lunch on a rainy day last week. Enjoyed the retro diner appeal. Ordered my favorite sandwich, the reuben, and raised my expectations based off the quality of reviews on here. Sandwich was a perfectly acceptable reuben, but didn’t exactly blow me away. By the time it got to me, the bottom slice of rye was soggy from the weighed down pile of corned beef. Good price to size ratio going on here, but I’m still looking for that amazing deli spot in the ‘burbs. Hunt continues.

Since my original review, I’ve been here a couple of times for breakfast. Holy cow! Talk about huge portions. I’ve had an ultimate skillet, which was amazing. I could not finish it, that’s how big it was. I have also had the omelet that has bacon, ham and sausage with sausage gravy on top(yes, I am a health food fan, can’t you tell?), and it was just as amazing. I did manage to eat it all, but just barely. You will definitely need a nap after eating here, and bring your appetite! Delicious food, and while the prices are a little higher compared to some other places, they actually aren’t out of line considering how much food you get(a LOT).

Seriously best deli in the burbs(Mudgies and Russell Street Deli are my favorites). I’ve been here around six times and never have had a bad meal or service. I always try something new and today I had the grilled chicken pita. When you look at their extensive menu, grilled chicken pita is pretty much the most boring thing. Well, honestly it was the best chicken pita I have ever had. A coworker said the same thing. There was so much perfectly grilled chicken that I had to toss the last few pieces so I didn’t get into a food coma and could finish the work day. They give you more than enough ranch, unlike many places that just give you a little cup. Burgers are so big they come with a knife through the middle of them to keep everything together. Deli sandwiches are so big I can usually only eat half. Ham sandwich is out of this world. Thick, juicy, real ham with some cheese and mayo. YUM. Service is great. Today was the first time I’ve done take out and my food was ready when I got there with plenty of condiments and napkins in the bag. When I got back to work there was no surprise — all the orders were how I ordered them(if you have ever ordered for a group, you know there is ALWAYS something wrong). Try Martins ASAP.

This place is what every diner wishes it could be. From the décor, to the staff, to the food, it’s simply amazing. I’ve had breakfast here several times and every time it’s been excellent. The omelettes are done in a very unique way. They’re cooked very big and thin, and then the ingredients are placed in the center and carefully wrapped up. I’ve also had a chicken salad here once and I thought I was at home. The lettuce is very green and fresh. The chicken was marinated and cooked perfectly(very juicy). I’ve unfortunately never ordered one of their sandwiches, which I should, but I took my father here. He had one and said it was great. Though I plan on trying one myself, I’ll take his word for it(he’s an amazing cook). Well enough of my disorganized ramblings. The décor is very cool in here, the staff… excellent, and the food is great. You can’t really ask for much more.

I have only been for breakfast. It’s just a little tiny place but you certainly get what you pay for. The omelettes are ginormous. For sure too big to eat in just one sitting & you get a slice of ham with your omelette for free. The ham is delicious, not sweet but not salty either. It’s fantastic, really! The corned beef hash is amazing & homemade. Wait staff is friendly & on top of their game. I give only 4 stars for 2 reasons… 1. The hours are very limited. They close at 4 pm everyday taking them away as a dinner option. I guess if I want to try their Ruben, I will have to do so on a weekend. 2. I asked for an extra tea bag for my hot tea and was charged an additional $ 1.55. It’s only Cadillac Coffee Brand, not Starbucks for Pete’s sake. All in all, a great little place for sure worth trying!

Something just isn’t the same since the new owner took over. Dude pretty much hard boiled the poached eggs and the biscuits and gravy was visually the same as before but had no taste at all. The search for new biscuits and gravy begins again… and the new owner kept staring at me, weird feller there.

This isn’t anything fancy but it was a nice surprise. I recently started working in the area, and looking on Unilocal,I found that this place was recommended. It is a little hard to find parking around the lunch time, but it’s because of other businesses in the area as well. I got a corned beef sandwich and it came out piping hot. It was grilled perfectly and it was delicious. It was a nice surprise for a local diner. I’ve heard the breakfast is good as well but I’ve never tried it.

My wife & I have been married for nine years this Sept. When we first started dating we found our selves in Centerline quite a bit, & Martins was a personal favorite of ours. Always friendly service, great food prepared by the guys who cram themselves in that little corner, God bless this country & its short order cooks! On our most recent visit we have noticed some changes. The server took 5 minutes to right down our order, 2 Martins chicken pitas & fries. I thought that was an easy one to remember, especially since we were the only one in the restaurant. Whatever. The Martin pita, which is like Nationals Hani, only better, came to the table, it looked like as if it had been on the juice since my last visit. It was piled so high with lettuce tomato & chicken, I could barley eat it without it falling apart. Now don’t get me wrong, I like the wow factor, but commmmon man. I’m sure you could save 2 or 3 Hundred dollars a month by making it a little smaller. I’m just gonna throw one more jab I swear, when Customers order fries, they want them out with the meal, I’m just sayin. Hopefully in another year when we return we have a different server & everything is Money!!! Still love the Pig Décor!!!
