Music entertainment for all occasions! We specialize in satisfying clients with musical tastes off the beaten path. Our music library goes WAY beyond the average «wedding DJ.» Stu is also an ordained wedding officiant!

History

Established in 1979.

Starting with doing small dances at his local community hall, Stu was asked to perform at his first wedding reception in 1979. Along with receptions, Stu became a fixture in the suburban Detroit bar and nightclub scene, working at prestigious venues such as C.J. Barrymore’s, The Landsdowne (later the Baja Beach Club) and the legendary Wooly Bully’s. Stu joined the writing team as a columnist for Mobile Beat Magazine, the industry trade magazine of record, in 2005 and is the author of the book, «The Complete Disc Jockey.» Stu has been a speaker/​presenter at the Mobile Beat DJ Show in Las Vegas as well as the Canadian Disc Jockey Show in Toronto. Stu literally teaches other DJs the tricks of the trade!

Stu, a music collector since age 7, became interested in DJ work when, while laid off from GM during the recession of 1979, he was asked to do a wedding for a friend when the scheduled band failed to show. The show must’ve went well as referrals poured in, so Stu decided some training was in order, heading off first to the Specs Howard School of Broadcasting and, later, to Macomb Community College. Stu interned at WDFX «The Fox» and Detroit rock powerhouse, WRIF, and briefly worked at Macomb County AM daytimer, WBRB. He also became involved in the bar and nightclub scene, working everywhere from the Dugout Lounge at Liberty Park in Sterling Heights, to the legendary Wooly Bully’s in Clinton Township. in 2005, Stu was asked to write for Mobile Beat Magazine and became an author in 2008 with the publication of his book, «The Complete Disc Jockey.»
