Business Owner

Jim B: Has been in the HVAC business for over 20 years and has been the owner of CJS Heating & Air since 1994. He has made it his goal to be a positive role model in the community.

He has a passion for the area youth and has been a constant in the lives of many. He has been a youth football coach for over 7 years and enjoys teaching the youth not only about sportsmanship but about what it means to be a young responsible, reliable young person.

Jim is married and he and his wife have 5 kids that keep them on the go.

I was in a bad situation because my air conditioner was broken. And it was 15 years old. Financially my family couldn’t afford a new system. I called cjs because they have been in business for over 20 years and their ratings are great. And I’m glad I did. Their sales rep came over to give me a free estimate. Looked me in the eye and while talking. Very courteous and understood our financial situation. He wasn’t pushy on trying to up sell either. He was able to get me 60 months financing at 0% interest. He also saw my 4 month old baby sweating and showed concern for my family not having air. He guaranteed that he would have the system installed within 24 hours. And it was. Their employees were fantastic as well. Very knowledgeable and professional. This whole company is a blessing.

outstanding! CJS is one impressive company! Technician Chris came out for a regular cleaning and inspection of our air conditioner. He was on time, very friendly, and explained everything (sometimes twice when I didnt understand). Chris cleaned and inspected every aspect of the air conditioner and offered suggestions for improving our heating/​ac.
Each time we have had Chris service our heating/​ac, we have been impressed with his knowledge of the systems, his ability to explain the processes at my technical level (low, very low) and his willingness to go the extra step to assure our system continues to work at an optimal level. HIghly recommend this company and Chris!

CJS is amazing. I didn’t know great customer service like theirs still existed. Professional, respectful and tolerant. Tolerant you ask? I had a million questions and they answered them all without hesitation and gave me all the time I needed. They were even very kind when my dog got loose and misbehaved toward them. If you are looking to have your system serviced, or an entire new system like me, I highly recommend that you call CJS.

Our AC went out this weekend in the unseasonably warm temperatures. We didn’t want to pay a bumped up emergency charge so we waited until Monday morning to call for a repair. Other companies couldn’t come out for days, but CJS was at our door in a couple hours. We are so thrilled to once again have cool air flowing and to know that we don’t have to wait For normal business hours should we need a repair again in the future. With the maintenance plan we received a discount on our trip charge and our repair and will receive a bi-​annual cleaning and check up. Excellent customer-​focused service.

I just had my annual system cleaning and checkup by James, the CJS technician. He was professional, personable, conscientious, and thoroughly explained answers to questions that I had about filters, thermostat settings, and some recent humidifier issues that I had. I would have given 5 stars, but a service call regarding water supply to my humidifier about two weeks ago still bothers me. The tech, Josh did a great job, I even trusted him with to enter my house when I was not there, as this issue came up later about 10 PM at a time when I was out of state. We communicated by phone and he was able to turn off a water supply line to my humidifier that was causing excess water usage. He called me back to explain the situation and put me at ease. My issue is NOT with Josh. It is with the pricing schedule that he was bound by and I thought the price was very excessive given that it did not take much time at all, and no special equipment or tools to correct this situation. Upon my return I called the company to ask if the amount charged was a mistake, but it was explained that it was a «level 1» service as specified in the contract that I have with them. I did not pursue it further. Maybe I should have. This is the only time over many years that I have been disappointed by CJS. I will be keeping them as my HVAC techs.

A technician named Josh quickly came out and looked at my furnace, which was having problems staying on. He quickly fixed the problem and explained in great detail why the problem occurred. It turned out to be a dirty flame sensor. Josh was very professional, very helpful, and answered all of my questions. I will be calling this company the next time that I have a problem.
I would also like to add that the phone service was amazing when calling CJS for the first time. Super friendly and quickly got me set up for an appointment.

Let me start off with I left a negative review after a less than stellar experience. I was contacted by CJs and they went over and above to get my satisfaction. I was floored that they even contacted me about my bad experience, and after reaching what I thought was a resolition they went over and above to ensure that I was totally satisfied. I spoke with both Valarie and their General Manager and I have to say I was impressed and this does seem like a company that genuinely works on their customer service.
