Business Owner

Before becoming an immigration attorney in 1995, I worked as a journalist for publications including Miami Herald and Newsday. I also spent two years as a foreign correspondent in Central America during the early 1980s, a time of civil unrest and guerrilla warfare in the region. (That’s also where I learned to speak Spanish.)

I currently belong to several organizations, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association, the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations, the Central American Refugee Center and the Latino-​Jewish Council on Long Island. I am licensed to practice in New York, the 2^nd District federal court and the U.S. Supreme Court.
