Great gym. Lots of equipment. Staff minus one is great. Especially the night staff is very kind. 1 star off for the lack of WI-​FI. Can’t figure out why they don’t have that set up better. All and all though it doesn’t stop me from going.

The Chehalis gym is nice, Centralia is older but decent, BUT my low star rating is for their so called «military discount», a big 2.00 off monthly dues. The monthly family rate is 81.95 plus tax. Military family rate 79.95 plus tax. WOW

I’m there everyday. Great gym. Well managed. And there’s a full sized swimming pool. I do about a half a mile lap swim every day.

This is a huge gym. Easily the biggest one I have been in. I had first entered through the swimming pool entrance and was directed to the «main» part of the building through a lengthy hallway and exercise rooms. The attendant at the desk was pretty busy when I was inquiring about a membership but she was patient, and knowledgeable about the facility.
Membership is an average price but you get a lot for the money. Lots of programs, a good sized pool, huge weight room (s) across two floors, bikes, rowing machines, treadmills, you name it. I discovered a sauna for the first time here and was like «where you been all my life!» They have a steam room also but it is broken half the time, and between that and the fact that even with all the space you can have difficulty finding an open treadmill when it is even moderately busy, I gave it 4 stars.

Thorbecke’s is an institution in Lewis County. I had not even moved to the area and my office had already purchased me a three-​month membership gift card.
The facilities and equipment are functional and varied. You are never going to sit around wishing you had «X» or «Y» machine. Thorbeckes has enough equipment to work every muscle group.. . and some you did not know you even had. Although I don’t take advantage, Thorbeckes has daycare while you are working out, a large lap pool, and offers numerous MMA, Zumba, and other classses.
The staff is friendly 24-​hours a day. They are attentive, respectful, and always professional.
The gym gets pretty busy around 4:30 and it does not ease up until about 7:00, so try to adjust your workout schedule. Mornings and lunch breaks are clear sailing around Thorbeckes.
Wish list: More treadmills and less highschool kids bumbling around the weight room.
