Good service. but some bus driver they stop at some place and uses the restroom for like 15 minutes, making all the travellers get out from the bus and wait outside… all over very good service except unnecessary wastage of time.

And the COW goes mooooo!
THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME AND CONVENIENT! The COW has about 4 different routes and they go in and past parts of Artesia, Lakewood and La Palma along with most of Cerritos!
With the holidays coming this is a AWESOME way to get around, SAVE GAS, GO SHOPPING and get back home WITHOUT having to DEAL WITH parking and the craziness of all that! You go to a designated stop and hop on, pay for fair and ride to your destination! If you want to go to the or in the facility of the mall or library but the bus near you does NOT go there you can always transfer to another route! IT IS REALLY SIMPLE TO USE AND EFFICIENT!
I NEVER SEE the buses packed out so there seems to be enough routes and buses to accommodate all the people! I mostly see elderly people using it and then the young-​in that don’t drive. It’s great to be able to give a little independence to kids if you can trust them to stay out of trouble! They can go to and from the mall and hang out with friends without having to use your car as their PERSONAL TAXI service! Except you don’t get paid and the little ingrates don’t bother to say so much as THANK YOU as though you have it to do! MAKE THEM TAKE THE BUS OR WALK!
Anyway this COW moves in and around Cerritos just about every day! I think they probably have some sort of holiday schedule as I’m sure they would like to spend time with their families as well. It is VERY REASONABLY PRICED! Thinking about having your car serviced at the one of the dealers in Cerritos. You can drive there and take the COW back home and NOT have to wait! Once your vehicle is ready take the COW back and pick up your car!

I ride the COW regularly and it is decent for a city bus.
The good: air conditioned, $ 0.50 fare
The bad: like another commenter mentioned, it doesn’t run late. During the summer, it runs every 70 min. (!!!). That’s unheard of. No Sunday service. Saturdays brings you even shorter service than weekdays. They are usually late. This is due to the drivers themselves. Most like to take a little bit longer breaks at City Hall to hang out and talk to other drivers who are also on break. Sometimes they are already running late when they get to City Hall and still take that short break thereby running even more behind. If you take the bus for school or work, make sure to give yourself extra time.

Great bus service in the City of Cerritos.
The «COW» has multiple buses that circle the city. Great for getting to either of the Cerritos malls (Los Cerritos or Towne Center), a park, the senior center or to the library at the civic center. Fifty cents will get you anywhere and you’ll always have a comfortable place to sit as they rarely get crowded. I find the bus drivers to be very friendly and personable — they give up a smile very easily — and from my experience they make safety a priority.

This was one of my bus stops before school at one time. The bus runs quickly and there is always room. Does not have as many stops as LA Metro or OCTA.
I remember paying fifty cents for a trip :). If you are looking for a nice, quick, affordable trip in Cerritos look for the COW.

Bus driver cut into my neighborhood today and almost killed me and my 5 month daughter … I was so shook up I had to pull over !!!

In terms of a small-​time civic-​owned public form of transportation, the Cerritos on Wheels is one of the best around.
The buses were recently upgraded to the one you see in the picture via federal grant monies. The buses run on natural gas, so they offer a more environmentally friendly form of public transit. The fare for a single trip anywhere in Cerritos is $ 0.50. The buses also offer monthly passes for $ 20.00.
They have essentially two routes going in opposite loops around the city (meeting at the Cerritos Civic Center). From one end of town to the other end, say from CPE to the Cerritos mall, roughly takes almost an hour. So, if you have the patience, or don’t have a car of your own, be prepared for a 45 – 1 hour commute. In the meantime, you’ll be able to view Cerritos from a different perspective: sideways!
The design of the rear of the buses are stylistic representations of various sites and landmarks of Cerritos. One may have a stylized image of the Cerritos Library, for example. Another may have one of the Cerritos Performing Arts Center. These are ways to keep track of the actual buses that you may have sat in, as there are about 8 total buses running around town.
The only downside is that the buses don’t run very late (after 9pm). But in all other respects, these buses run well and have pretty cool air conditioning (a must in hot and muggy summers).

I appreciate local public transportation because of the simpler routes (I read bus schedules slowly). I heart COW. I loved seeing the spotted mini-​buses pass. If you need to go between the mall or park, use this [the ideal audience seems to be seniors and teenagers]. The acronym also alludes to the history of the area when it was named Dairy Valley.
