Dr. Ahn is amazing! She is warm and personable. She takes her time and never rushes us. She is very thorough and knowledgeable! Her staff is also extremely helpful and friendly! Our whole family goes to her office and we won’t be going anywhere else!!! :)

First time here won’t be my last. The staff and dr Esther Ahn were wonderful. Everyone here gives you a great experience. Dr Ahn took treated me like a valued patient which I appreciated. Rachel did my preliminary exam and helped me pick my glasses. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and patient and did an excellent job getting me a new pair of glasses.

I’ve visited this office twice ever since my first eye appointment one year ago and both times they’ve been very welcoming and helpful. Every question I have they answer thoroughly and their selection of frames is great too!
and they always have available appointment openings for my convenience!

Doubt that I’ve seen so many designer frames in one shop at one time. Very impressive.
But the most outstanding feature of this operation is the ambiance. They say the tone of a business starts at the top. So true. Mom’s been Dr. Ahn’s patient for almost 5 years. Dr. Ahn’s always very gentle and kind to mom. Reverence for age.
Mom gets a new pair of glasses every year. Occasionally they need adjustment so we see Dr. Ahn or visit her store a couple times a year, and it’s always the same. We’re greeted with kind courtesy. Staff is always mindful of their clients’ needs. They consistently aim to please.
Mom strives for independence. So I waited in the showroom while she aced her eye exam and conferred with the doctor.
While my eyes examined Tiffany, Dolce & Gabbana, Converse, Gucci, Prada labels my ears drifted to a tiny girl having her glasses fitted. The assistant and mother conversed in Korean so I couldn’t understand what was being said but the tone of their discussion conveyed gentleness. Before they left the office assistant crooned to the little girl, «Oh, don’t leave yet. Stay here and keep us company. You look so grown up in your new glasses.»
She twirled off the seat, took her mom’s hand and happily waved goodbye.
Four adults stopped by. One at a time. Just to have their glasses adjusted or cleaned. And I thought how lovely that people enjoy coming by for such a simple service. Speaks volumes about how this business serves the community.
A woman who only spoke Spanish came in to collect her new glasses. One of the staff spoke Spanish. Talk about meeting every need. Awesome.

I came here this week after doing some research for a good optometrist. I didn’t look up the reviews for this place on Unilocal beforehand. I had looked at a list of optometry places in the area, and this one was close to my house. I went in, and the receptionist was really nice. I didn’t know what to expect since it was my first time here, and I didn’t check this place out beforehand.
First off, when I called the place to make an appointment the person I talked to was really friendly, and was very understanding, and answered all of my questions. Same thing happened when I walked in, every question I had was answered, and Dr. Ahn was very good at helping me out. I needed to get a new prescription for my contact lenses, and she suggested that I try a different type of contact lenses, that would help my eyes not feel so dry.
I had to wait a week and a half then I went back to do a follow up, but this time I talked to Dr. Patel, and she was very good at helping me out, and she didn’t pressure me to purchase the contact lenses from their shop.
I loved the service here, and I love that there is absolutely no pressure to purchase anything from here, especially since nowadays a lot of shops are often times, pressuring you into buying from their stores.
The contact lense fitting and examination here is cheaper than it is at Costco, so if you are in the area, I would suggest you check out this place. I have insurance, but my insurance only covers the glasses examination, so I ended up paying $ 50 for the contact lense exam.
I did end up ordering my contact lenses from here because I looked up the prices online and it all looked around the same. So I decided to just go local and pick up contact lenses from here instead of buying them online.
I would definitely come back here for another examination!

This office is simply amazing! Over the years ‘ve been seen by all of the doctors and each of them are so thorough, professional, and caring. Everyone in the office provides great customer service and they’re thoughtful about making sure that I feel at ease (whether it be new frames, new contact brands, new prescriptions). My last visit should have been a short check-​up but I wanted to discuss Lasik and Dr. Patel went above and beyond to patiently explain not only the procedure, but answerd all of my questions and provided a detailed explanation about eye health and what to watch out for. I never feel rushed here and never have to wait long for the doctors. I moved to West LA a few years ago but still make the trek back to Cerritos because I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

I’m so happy that I found an optometrist that i trust. Dr. Esther Ahn is awesome Unilocalers! She makes you so relaxed, explains everything to you (in simple terms), and always has a smile on her face!
I had my first ever eye exam this Monday that just passed and it went so smoothly. They have updated testing equipment and the ladies that did my tests were so nice!
Her entire Office staff were wonderful and I felt so comfortable as if I new them for years. One of the workers or eye nurses –I don’t know if that’s a thing– it was a guy, I forgot his name, helped me pick my lenses, and even though they were busy with all the other clients, he took his time out to thoroughly explain the difference between tint sunglasses and polorized sunglasses.
When i told him i needed regular eyeglasses and Sunglasses he explained that it was better to use my sucky insurrance to pay for the sunglasses and for me to get my regular eyeglasses with their package deal that they had going on for $ 90. He also helped me pick out my Sunglasses and regular eye glasses and didnt complain but encouraged me to try on more styles. let’s just say I learned alot thanks to him.
The awesome part of this whole experience there was that it was Korean owned, most of all the clients who came in were korean, all the workers conversed in korean and they even had a whole section of glasses that were made in korea! — this might sound ridiculous and meaningless but to me I LOVED and soaked up everything I can in there. I’m currently in my Korean mode, honestly, I’ve emerged myself in the whole Korean culture and this place just took me over the top. Now all I have to do is learn a little more korean so I can converse with them and the clients the next time I go… I kinda felt like I was in korea for a minute… it was a nice minute… plus, I ended up getting reading glasses from korea!!!
Anyways, my review is not even a review anymore, it’s more like a story! Sorry to those who reached this point and still find themselves reading it till the end… YOU’RE frikkin awesome!!! I LOVE YOU! LOL!!!

Very happy with my experience every time my family visits Dr. Ahn. She is very caring and a very good optometrist. Her staff is friendly and professional. We live in Irvine and make the drive to Cerritos every year. Five stars!

So, here I am back again in 2015 for my yearly eye exam and Dr. Ahn and her staff is still AMAZING as ever!
Dr. Ahn genuinely cares for all her patients and thoroughly takes the time during your examination to address your concerns. She never rushes or makes you feel like «another patient». Rather, when you are her patient, she focuses on your eye needs in the max. She is also so patient, friendly, kind, and caring. Seriously, best eye doctor ever.
Also, her staff is amazing when helping you choose glasses. They has an amazing array of glasses to choose from of all sorts — hip, trendy, casual, normal, old school, regular, sassy… you want it, they’ll have it. Like Dr. Ahn, her staff is patient and kind as well.
I don’t say this often, but you won’t regret coming here. I promise.

Awesome place. They were packed when I came in but I still left in a timely manner. All the employees are very friendly, give very good advice and tips, and even helped me pick out glasses and gave me opinions on how they looked/​felt. Definitely my go to place! Dr Patel is so much fun!

I went for my new prescription for my contacts today and remembered why I came back here. I came here 2years ago for the first time and I really like this office. Dr Ahn is very nice and professional. Her support staff are awesome. I wish I was better with names but there were 2girls and 1 guy working and they were great. Speak to you by name, apologized for the small wait and act like they generally care. I will keep coming back thank you!!!

I’ve been going to Esther Ahn Optometry for many years now, and as always they have great and friendly service! They are always accommodating, whether it be scheduling an appointment or making sure your optical needs are satisfied. I go to her mainly for my ortho-​k lenses but would recommend to go here for any optometric need!

A couple of days ago I had an appt with Dr. Esther Ahn for a contact and eyeglass prescription update.
I found Esther Ahn’s practice VIA Unilocal. The prior reviews don’t lie, it was a very good experience. I am rather picky when it comes to my ocular health, since I have pretty horrid vision, and I left completely satisfied. I will recommend my parents to come here as well.
From what I understand Dr. Esther Ahn took over the practice and has been in business here for the last 11 years. I say that’s due to many satisfied and returning clients, once you check it out you will see.

I’ve been going to Esther Ahn Optometry for a few years now. They always have very friendly, personable service. The last time I was trying to decide between 2 frames, there were at least 5 people in the office willing to play along with letting me know their favorite in my A/​B test, which was nice. I love their vast selection of eyeglass frames, and Esther Ahn provides great suggestions for different types of disposable contacts to try out (for extended wear and astigmatism, in my case).
They’ve always gotten my prescription right on (which is VERY high: –6.5 in 1 eye, –7.0 in the other for contacts, plus astigmatism, so you can imagine my glasses lenses can be complicated). Over the years, I’ve ordered at least 4 different pairs of glasses with them, and a few different 6 month+ contact prescriptions. No complaints, highly recommended.

Dr Esther Ahn is the best eye doctor I have ever been to. I have pretty bad eyesight, and I have been to several optometrists and ophthalmologists all my life, especially since I also have diabetes. Dr Ahn is one of a kind, and there’s no one like her! She is not only very knowledgeable and spot on when it comes to my eyesight, she also cares about my health. She takes the time to explain everything to me and advises on how to take care of my overall well being. To top it off, she is also super sweet by personality! We once saw her at a local restaurant, and she did not hesitate to approach us and hug us all! She is so down to earth and very kind to her patients.
Dr Ahn’s office is super friendly to me and my entire family. We enjoy going there because the staff is beyond awesome. They know everyone by name. Favi takes care of all our needs when it comes to billing and insurance. She helps us choose frames and lets us try them all on, if we want. Anne is also very caring and friendly, and she constantly makes us laugh and smile with her cheerful personality. Even the technician who fixes my glasses is always smiling and waving at me.
The best thing about this place is really their dedicated customer service. I never feel pressured with their billing methods. They allow me to leave a deposit and make installments when I need to. They trust me enough to let me pay at my convenience. I’m not sure if they do that to everyone or if it’s because our family has been going there for a few years now. Whatever it is, I am so so thankful for their trust. With all 4 of us in the family needing glasses or contacts, the bill adds up. I’m so grateful that Dr. Ahn’s office is so supportive of the family.

Dr. Ahn is a lovely lady who is very thorough in explaining everything. She is very patient and very eager to help you in any possible way. She is very reliable and trustworthy with any consultations and questions you may have. Her office is very clean and welcoming. She picks out the perfect frame (s) that complements very well to your face shape. She is very straightforward and not sneaky at all. She caters to your needs and tries her best to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible. Her prices are very fair on top of the high-​end products that she carries. And a wide variety of selections to choose from! But no need to feel overwhelmed… She is there to help you every step of the way! You will not regret coming here and working with the lovely Dr. Ahn! She is such a sweetheart!

I called around 12:30PM after watching Pretty Little Liars and was not disappointed with the customer service and professionalism from one of the reps who picked up my phone call =D
I don’t have insurance for my eyes anymore and I remember that I would always come here with my parents ever since I was young! From what I remember, this place always had excellent service, and they really hook you up with a wide variety of lenses. I always got my glasses here but I wanted to try contact lenses.
So I called this place to get a quote, and a representative named Sam picked up the phone and was very patient and knowledgeable with the pricing of eye exams and he knew what brands of contact lenses were popular. He answered all of my questions with honesty and told me of the different contact lenses that are out there.
Without insurance, an eye exam for contact lenses would be $ 125.
Although he couldn’t give me a price range for the types of contact lenses I want, he explained that because there are so many brands out there, it’s hard to give a price estimate unless you know what brand you want.
Anyway, I’m gonna do some research about this, and hopefully I’ll be able to wear contact lenses in the future =D
