FECC Children Academy

Both my sons love this place! My oldest loves the summer program which is what introduced us to FECC. My youngest just started the Academy and he loves it! Teacher Michelle is the best and her staff is always so helpful. From dropping him off with the morning teachers and picking him up with the afternoon teachers it is a pleasant and wonderful experience! There was a point where my son was starting to cry when he was going to the school due to a child hitting but in communicating with the teacher and trying some solutions and moving/​speaking with kids, he was a happy camper within a week.
My oldest participates in the After school program which is AMAZING! Mr. Vincent helps my son with his homework and is very patient. I go over all his homework and make sure all is completed and correct. I like that there are young educated adults who are the leaders for the summer and after school programs. He also loves the extra curriculum activities that FECC offers and we pay for.
Both of my sons enjoy playing and making friends with kids at FECC. These same kids go to school and/​or play recreational sports with such as flag football, soccer, baseball, karate, etc so it is always nice to see the kids and parents at FECC. Small community.
I highly recommend this place. I just wish they had the program last for students passed 6^th grade. :(Other than that, I love this place.

My daughter is looking forward to the summer program that starts in a few weeks. She’s been looking forward to it since November. That’s how much she enjoys it.

My four nieces have all attended FECC and have excelled learning fine arts and even a second language (Mandarin). They offer a great program for early childhood education. The staff is great and their facility is safe and secure for children.

This school is affordable and has lots of activities for the children. They have a large play ground and enclosed fence for safety. The staff are very nice and understanding, and very caring towards the kids. So much love, hard work and dedication are found within the walls of this school. Where the child comes first.

I pulled her out of the summer program after only 5 days of attendance and after $$ 500 plus dollars spent. Half of the summer fee was $ 725 which I paid 2 weeks prior to the program start date.
My 6 year old daughter came home every day telling me how the «teachers» yell at the kids and say things such as «deal with it», and «that’s not my problem». Now I don’t even speak to my child that way.
Another incident was my daughter told me that one of the «teachers» grabbed her arm and told her to throw her trash away. Totally unacceptable. How about I grab one of them?!
Though they were fully staffed, they staff all seemed very young and inexperienced. Each day I went to pick up my daughter, I could never find her. The staff did not know who she was (mind you she was probably one of the few children there without a chinese last name– and my daughter is half chinese). The posted «schedule» was never correct so it would usually take me 10 minutes or so to locate my child. I was frazzled each time thinking she was kidnapped or lost (the facility is located at a church which is wide open to the parking lot and a main street).
After dealing with the director and her assistant, I was even more displeased at how unprofessional and uncaring they were about the situation when I explained why we were leaving. They basically did not care and their attitude proved it.
If you read my other reviews, you’ll see that I mostly post when I’m happy, but seeing that nobody else commented about this place I feel like I would be doing a disservice by not sharing my bad experience.
This place is a church hosting a summer program. Don’t let it fool you.
