Kaiser Permanente Cerritos Medical Office Building

I have to say Kaiser has been very good to me especially as a new customer or patient they’re very good and getting test done and efficiently and doctors getting back to me in a timely manner.

I had blood work done yesterday and it went well. I hate blood work! The phlebotomist was very nice! I waited less than 3 minutes to be called.

Convenience, my dear Watson. It’s all about convenience.
Prior to this location, I’d have to drive to the Bellflower and/​or Downey locations. But, since the Cerritos Medical Offices opened up, literally minutes away, it’s Speedy Roo time…
except for when the check-​in gets backed up. To alleviate that, there are self check-​in kiosks for appointments. Unfortunately, not for labs. Besides physician visits, pharmacy, lab & diagnostic services are provided here. Surgery & member services are at the Bellflower & Downey sites.
The facility has been clean each time I’ve visited, whether for bloodwork at the lab or internal medicine on the 2^nd floor. The staff have been accommodating.
Parking is available by the main entrance, with underground parking that has an elevator which takes patients right up to the check-​in line.
Located across the Range Rover & Jaguar dealers at the Cerritos Auto Square, the Kaiser Permanente Cerritos Medical Offices are a welcome sight for this Cerritos resident. Closeby, to where I can take a leisurely stroll instead of driving, is why I’m a fan & will be visiting each time I have lab orders & office visits.

Dr. Bajamundi and her staff are not professional, I have been waiting in the room for over one hour no one has came to check on me or at least give me a reason of what’s taking so long. If I could give this office a negative star I would. I should’ve just gone to the Downey office much better customer service and the wait has never been this long.

I am only rating the phlebotomy department. The wait time is Ridiculous! I was there this morning and there were three phlebotomist and three patients waiting to get blood drawn. It took over 20 minute to get my turn. WHAATT??? 20 mins??? but there are 3 of them and only 3 of us??? — Thats what I was thinking at that point!
Now, I am not unfair. I am giving them one star because this is not the first time this happens. I took my kids to their physical a few weeks ago. Once done with their pediatrician, I went down to get the tickets for their blood work. When we walked in– there were about 20 patients waiting and only ONE phlebotomist attending.
While We were waiting like the rest, I heard other patients expressing frustration saying its usually like that. After a few minutes waiting, I went to the front desk to let them know. It wasn’t until then that 2 phlebotomist started calling patients in. I had errands to run that day and knew we were going to be sitting there for some time. I decided to leave. We came back about an hour and half later. Ofcourse I had to get a new ticket and to my surprise… there was still a wait!
It’s a shame considering that this Cerritos site is fairly new, beautiful, and clean. My boys pediatrician is fantastic and my doctors are great as well.
Phlebotomist department needs major improvement I would change sites because of this.

Underground parking with elevator to first floor check-​in: check.
Nearly complete facility: Pharmacy, Lab, X-​ray services, primary care physicians: check.
Single line for all patient check-​ins: oh no momma, UN-​LIKE that!!!
Oh well, it was a 15 minute stand in line time for me. Plus another wait to get my blood drawn.
I guess that’s a drawback if you have to get to work or somewhere else.
ALso, AFTER your doctor visit, you must check in again if you have to have labs or X-ray’s done. That would make me crazy.

Great service from the time I stepped out my car! I had a physical and a mammogram. I was in contact with several employees and was greeted with a warm smile and a hello. The only bad things is I need to lose weight. I knew that, but dang food is sooooo good!
Thanks to all the employees that treated me in kind. I really appreciated that.

This review is for Reception and the Lab only.
I came here to do my glucose tolerance test because it’s literally right down the street from my house. I am usually seen in the Orange County Service area. LA county and South Bay lack the service and sometimes the terrific medical care that is in OC.
I came in at 8am and there were only 2 receptionist checking in for the building. That already was a sign. At 8am patients are coming in to do fasting lab tests and want to get in and out. And then you have patients that are checking in for their 830 Appt with their doctor. The line was already long and out the door. There was one receptionist that was very pleasant and customer service oriented. Said Good morning to everyone she encountered and pointed them where to go. And the receptionist that checked me in was also very pleasant. They are the 2 stars that I’m giving this office.
There were also only 2 lab techs drawing blood. I’m not very happy. I’ve been waiting already 45 minutes and fasting. I have to be here for 3 hours, not eating, and I’m pregnant. I guess convenience is not always better in this case.

Worst experience ever! Don’t go here! I wish I could give no stars! My son was in pain since feb 1– Super Bowl Sunday & after seeing the urgent care doctor, several specialists & tests– urine, blood, ultra sound, X-​rays. Thy could not figure out why my son was in pain & they said take Motrin for pain. I was beyond frustrated & took him to an outside doctor and he was diagnosed within less than ½ hour. I have lost all confidence in kaiser– they are re worst place ever! I had an experience similar last year in January & thy took several days to figure our what was going on with me too. So I thought it was an isolated experience but, now I know that it is there way to practice. As I talk to more & more people about my experiences I find out that this is the kaiser way & they don’t create about people’s health. All thy care about is their bottom line! I will talk to admin & try to switch from kaiser come open enrollment.

This is my second visit to this location. Yes location is convenient however I’ve been here for 60 minutes, arrived 15 minutes early for my 11:00 am appt. I was told the Dr was on schedule and i was next… Its 11:48 and no sign of my Dr. When I finally go out to the hallway in my robe, im told «dr. Is taking a little longer than expected»… REALLY? I figured that much. Thanks for offering me water, but can you bring the Dr. … 11:48… still no Dr. … been here for an hour… horrible! Oh yeah waited close to 45 minutes for my first visit too despite getting here early. Looking up a new location while I continue to wait…

This new office is SO convenient! It doesn’t offer as many services as other locations, but it’s so nice to not have to drive very far for routine appointments and prescriptions. It’s also not nearly as crowded as other locations. Very clean and everyone is very friendly.

Love the new facility, very easy to get to and conveniently located near the mall and restaurants. Plenty of parking around and underneath the building. Will definitely keep on making appointments to this location.

Literally across the Jaguar/​Land Rover/​Range Rover car sale.
No one likes to see their little one sick. Worst part is when you cannot even see a doctor because there are no available slots or you have to wait til after hours. THANKS A LOT KAISER FOR GIVING ME AND MY FAMILY A BAD EXPERIENCE. WTF. Soo much for having good insurance! Luckily, the Cerritos location had one pediatric doctor available to be seen later on in the day.
Parking was quick. Checked In within minutes of entering the building. Went upstairs to the Pediatric floor. Waited a few minutes. Then was seen by the doctor. DONE! Exactly how it should be done at all locations.
Staff was A-​Okay. If we ever need to make another appointment, I hope we have the same experience. Easy for the parents and children. Hope my little one and everyone who goes here feels better soon.

I had no idea this Kaiser facility was here. It is so close to my house! I came for an appointment with the radiology department and was very impressed at how nice, new, and clean the whole place is! The lady that checked me in was so friendly and professional, it made me really happy.
I used to go to the Downey facility but find this one is much more convenient. It is a small facility but I find that parking is much easier than at Downey, the walk is shorter, and in my experience, the wait times have been shorter for the lab & pharmacy. All around less chaotic and stressful, IMHO.
My only wish is they had included some bike parking when they remodeled the building, although I’m probably the only person to ever have biked here. But I chose this facility because it was a bike-​able distance from my house.

This was my first time here. I didn’t even know this place existed until I needed an appointment today for my baby, and the Long Beach one was completely booked. It’s definitely new. You can tell once you’re inside the building. Everything looks clean and fresh.
You have to check in on the first floor. We did, and the lady who helped us was so incredibly nice. She was friendly and positive, which is so refreshing.
We went up to the second floor. By pediatrics, they divide the waiting area into a «well» area and a «sick» area. I don’t think other people noticed, because there was a sick person in the «well» area. Anyway, we were called almost immediately. The exam rooms are adorable. They placed stickers on the door and inside the room. We got a Finding Nemo room! The nurse that helped us was nice as she took my baby’s height, weight, and temperature. The doctor was nice, as well. I still like my baby’s doctor in Long Beach better, but the one we had today was still professional, friendly, and knowledgable.

Small facility. Kind of upset they don’t have all items in their pharmacy. I live in LB and figured this was the closest one. Went to the pharmacy and they didn’t have what I needed. They couldn’t even look it up to see how much it was since it was not an item they carried. They suggested that I go somewhere else. I said I was trying to avoid driving around town. When I asked if they could call another location to see if they had it and how much it would cost, they simply gave me the phone number to call. That’s really poor customer service.

Brand new facility = clean and minimal wait times. Workers that dont look like they hate their jobs. Fast and efficient

Needed a KP pharmacy and found out that Cerritos just opened a new KP medical office. Woohoo! Though the outside may look like an older building, the inside is brand spankin’ new and everything looks good so far in the 2-​story building. Granted, I only went for a prescription pickup but I was quite impressed with the new facility. Seeing as how this location just opened, my wait time was of course super short. Enjoying the fact that there’s another KP location in the area! In regards to the pharmacy, hopefully this eases the crazy lines you see zigzagging at the La Palma/​Downey and other nearby locations.
