Mark Lorico

It’s been a week since I was finally able to have the house keys in my hand. On the first day that I met Mark, I knew almost nothing about buying a house. I was already afraid of how crazy this process was going to be. After my first meeting with him, I quickly became comfortable with Mark because I can feel his professionalism and knowledge as I went on and on with questions. Mark was not only a great agent, but his background knowledge made me even more confident given that he would be able to instantly point out the goods and bads in a home. I was surprised at how quickly he was able to read what I liked and disliked, narrowing the homes that I was looking at, in order to find my perfect home. I could tell that Mark did his best to make this process as smooth as possible. I had a great experience and would recommend him to anyone.

I just closed escrow last week and finally had have time to write a review that does Mark justice. This will be a somewhat lengthy review, but here’s the gist: I had an excellent first time buying experience with Mark and have been recommending him to anyone who even mentions property to me.
As with many things, one must experience the bad to appreciate the good. Before working with Mark, I knew little about house buying and I had found an agent through Redfin. While that agent was nice enough — there were some big issues in hindsight. He would send me properties that had things I told him were deal-​breakers, take days to respond to emails, be chronically late, and generally would not provide much insight into each property we viewed. He would also also encourage me to ‘just put an offer on it, and see what happens,’ with properties I wasn’t sure about. In stark contrast, Mark responds in minutes or hours, found properties that my wife and I really liked, and would provide solid knowledge about the property location, condition, warning signs etc. It felt that Mark was on my side, and not just trying to push through another sale for another commission. And though I know it not to be the case, with the amount and level of service Mark provided to me, sometimes it actually felt like I was his sole client.
Here are a couple things that I felt really exemplifies the service Lorico Legacy and Mark provided:
1.) Mark scheduled and met with termite contractor, chimney inspector, and HVAC inspector all on separate days. I and most people have pesky daytime obligations like a 9 – 5 and can’t always make time to meet with the inspectors. Mark saved me a big hassle by setting up the inspectors, meeting them at the house, and getting me the results.
2.) I was freaking out that it was the night that the first contingency was supposed to be lifted because it was on the weekend and never brought up. I thought we would lose the purchase or something. I sent a text or two of worry to Mark around 9:45PM and he, while in middle of putting his kids to bed, called me to allay my fears. On a side note, I think escrow closed with me having only lifted the final inspection contingency. That’s still weird to me.
3.) Mark hosted a client appreciation bowling pin party with some pretty sweet raffle prizes. I pigged out on the food and got to meet his other happy clients. I got to bowl a frame and won a nice gift card, though I was hoping for the Ring doorbell camera! It was a fun time and shows how Mark goes above what’s normal for his clients.
4.) Offered to checkout houses I can’t make it to and YouTube the walkthrough for me.
As for Mark himself, he was always very professional, punctual (big deal to me), patient and friendly. I have a habit of asking many many questions and he would always try to answer them sincerely. His communication with me was clear and concise. And if for some reason, it matters to you, he’s got good style and sweet shoes. What more could you ask for?

Mark is an excellent agent. Very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He always made himself available to us, even on his vacation putting in offers. He helped make buying our first home easy and stress free. I highly recommend Mark for any service you may need.

I couldn’t ask for a better experience. I was not looking forward to going through the process of selling a home. With me working two jobs I felt that I would not have enough time to get things done appropriately, or make the right decisions. Nevertheless, Mark made the process quite simple. Not only did he ensure we were on track with paperwork and deadlines, he ensured that we took the steps to maximize the home’s appeal. Whether it be buying components/​upgrades for the home; making himself available at all times; advocating deals; frequent check-​ins; etc, I always felt that he sincerely cared and wanted the best outcome for his clients.

The process of buying our first house was exciting and at the same time overwhelming. But with the help of Mark, things got a little easier along the way. The process was explained to us in great detail, and we talked about what we need and what we would have wanted in a house. Mark went to great lengths in finding us a home that we would both love, giving us more options than what we could have thought of. His presentation of our offer including our letter is what we believe helped us with our offer. His attention to detail and his organized way of presenting us properties was very impressive. Documents were sent securely by email which worked for the both of us, and saved a lot of printing and mailing. Mark exceeded our expectations in an agent, and if you are looking for one, Mark is the man!

I would give Mark 10 stars if I could. Mark was recommended by one of my cousins who he helped the year before with their home purchase. He was always on point and very professional. But that is not the best thing, for me, the fact that he made me feel very comfortable and «part of the family» (at ease) made working with him even better. When we had issues with a seller and a seller agent not once, but twice, Mark was quick to keep especially me calm. Mark knows what he’s doing and I feel very confident knowing that I will be coming back to Mark on our next home purchase. I would recommend Mark to my family and friends.

With an array of questions and long processes of buying and selling a home, a strong and knowledgeable realtor like Mark is important. Easily accessible and with a sociable personality, Mark makes buying or selling a home less scary.

Mark helped me and my wife buy our first home. He was patient with us through the entire process. Mark helped us sell our home and find our new home in the area we were originally looking into. We looked at several houses before we found the right one. Mark was an excellent agent he showed us properties not just in the areas we requested but also surrounding areas that gave us more value for our money. He was also very good with breaking down the pros and cons of each property we looked at for example he would explain potential water damage, how permits or lack there of would effect property value and little things we could do on our own to increase the value of a potential property. What I liked most about Mark is that he really tries to get you the best value for your money by showing you properties that give you more for less. I know agents get paid a certain percentage on the price of the home and he resisted the need to make us get something more expensive and really just attended to our practical needs as opposed to making us buy right away. He actually cares about finding you a good home I never felt like he was just trying to make a quick buck. I would highly recommend Mark to anyone looking to buy a home.

Mark was our agent in buying our first home! We closed past February and love our new place.
From the beginning, Mark was approachable, easy to talk to, and listened to everything we had to say. He was always willing to make himself available to us, and explain everything we did not understand throughout the whole home buying process. As first time buyers, he was able to walk through the process with us step by step.
Another thing I appreciate about Mark is that he asked us to write a personal letter as part of our offer package, which really gave us an advantage when we were competing with other offers. I can’t think of anything negative about Mark. He was with us every step of the way. He would actively keep a look out for homes that fitted my needs and would constantly give me updates. He would truthfully give his opinion about the house whether it has bad signs of a bad foundation, or if it’s worth the value or not. He walked us through the whole buying process since this would be my first time and made everything go as smooth as possible. Now I have a new home and it’s all thanks to Mark. Right around Christmas too! I would definitely recommend Mark to anyone that’s looking to buy a new home.
