I’ve been going to J & L for several years now and their excellent service and expertise will keep me going for several more. I have a Honda CR-​V and they replaced my radiator, recommended I replace my starter with a Honda part (I didn’t take their advice, ended up using an off-​market brand 3 times before I took their advice) and sent me home without doing anything when they said my brakes were fine (and my oil place told me they weren’t!). They never charged me unless they actually fixed anything — even if they spent hours trying to figure out a problem!
They are honest, well priced, and skilled. Writing this review is the least I could do!

Yet the best mechanic to be with is the one that will tell that you do t really need to address something right then and not just take your money because you brought them the car. Theses guys are the best professional and fair. They are busy so plan ahead but it’s easy to see why they are honest and good… the perfect Co bo for a mechanic.

J&L has the greatest service and expertise I have found at an auto repair shop. Their mechanics are incredibly skilled, knowledgeable, honest, and fair.
My wife and I often go to another shop near us for minor maintenance (oil change, etc.) But whenever we have a serious issue with one of our cars, we take the 30 minute drive here. The service costs at J&L are often higher than some other shops, because they have so many top level mechanics, and the value of their work is worth the higher price.
Several times, they have diagnosed an issue with my (or my wife’s) car, done any serious work that needs to be done, then recommended another reliable shop to do minor work, since they know the other shop will be less expensive. We once had a front exhaust pipe break. After looking at it, they said they would be happy to fix it for us if we wanted to leave the car. However, if we wanted, we would take it to a nearby Meineke, and they could fix it for less and get it done that same day.
Paying for maintenance and repairs is part of owning a car. J&L is great at telling you what you need, why you need it, and what you DO NOT need. This week, my wife took our car in because the ignition seemed weak. J&L tested the car, said the starter was a little weak due to age but would continue to function fine. There was nothing to fix, so they did not charge her. My wife also had a list of repairs that a dealership wanted to do when she took the car in for a recall. J&L looked at the list and told us these were unnecessary. They want to make sure your car is safe and working well, but they will not stick you with unnecessary repairs and costs.

Awesome folks to work with. They had me in and out in less than two hours (thankfully they could work me in) for an alignment. This may be a small thing for some folks, but for me, it was a learning experience. The manager even did a ride-​along with me to hear what I was complaining about, explained how tires don’t like wheels that aren’t properly aligned and that impact on my year-​old tire investment. Very friendly and very accommodating. I’ll definitely be back — next time I’ll call first.

Needed a last minute car inspection done. They were fast, friendly and fair priced. Definitely recommend them.

Very knowledgeable people, they did extensive tests to pinpoint a sensor issue which although is pretty common to a PT Cruiser can have multiple causes. Yes — the car was ready for the emission inspection in less than a day.
After getting ripped off multiple times at various other places is nice to see that somebody really cares more about the quality of the work and about their patrons than about quick profit.
