I took my car in when it failed the emissions testing, mr Lee was able to quickly figure out what was wrong, I had to come back the next day so they could order the part, but it only took him ~30 mins to get the work done. My car passed the emissions testing when I took it back for retest.

Kevin Lee does a great job at half the cost of other fancier places. His shop site and location is not impressive, but his prices and work are just fine. He repaired my bumper at half the cost of other nearby shops and the dealership and I didn’t have to leave the car and find a rental. He does not speak English well, so make sure you get his estimate in writing or talk to his son who is often there with him. He also has some mangy looking dogs around, but they aren’t aggressive, just dirty. If looks are important, this is not the place for you. Also, the place is not easy to find, but it is worth it.

I am passing thru the area on a road trip and took my truck in for an oil change at Jim Ellis Chevrolet. I was informed that my «pads are down to the metal» on the rear brakes. I took them at their word, I should have checked the brakes myself. I found Kevin from Unilocal and brought the truck to him the next day to look at and do the work. However he took a look and told me the pads were still fine! I looked for myself and yep, theres still several thousand miles of life in them. Kevin saved me a few hundred dollars because of his honesty, where I imagine alot more shops would have just done the work without informing me that it wasn’t necessary. And Jim Ellis Chevrolet is the definition of a stealership, make sure you go to Kevin’s for a second opinion before getting any work done!

Kevin was really great, and he and his son were really helpful. I needed my passenger side mirror replaced and didn’t have much time to compare quotes from other mechanics in the area (the dealership quoted me 120 – 160 just for repairs). Luckily, Kevin’s ratings on Unilocal were all amazing, so I decided to give him a call. He was very humble, and respectful of what you needed. His son was able to translate for us. I was able to get the part, went to drop off the car, and bought lunch across the street while he worked. It was done in only 20 minutes, and he even touched up some scratches on my car free of charge. I feel like I would have liked to pay him more for his great service, but it was only 60 for the whole thing. So I’m glad I came to him, I’ll definitely be coming back if I ever need other repairs. I highly highly highly recommend anyone to go to him!

If you need an auto shop that offers free coffee from a Keurig machine, then this is not the place for you. Kevin is great to work with and you can cut your auto repair bill in half, but keep the following in mind when working with Kevin.
1. You will be dealing with cash.
2. There is no written warranty, but a solid personal guarantee with a handshake.
3. Pay Kevin for labor and buy the part yourself. Find a coupon for Advanced Auto, Autozone, Pepboys, etc or for an even better deal use a mail order parts place like
4. The garage is outdoors, so don’t plan on waiting around in an air conditioned lobby.
5. Call him for an appointment.
6. Mandarin is his native language, but knows English well enough to tell you the problem. His 16 year old son knows more about auto repairs then you ever will and can translate anything not understood.
7. The address given on Unilocal is correct, but there is no signage except for one of a printing company that occupies the space in the front part of the building. Go down the driveway to the right of the building and you will come to a gate… if you are greeted by a German Shepherd and other dogs, then you are at the right place.
8. Kevin will give you a timeline for other repairs needed. Brakes, radiator leak, belts, etc., this will give you time to shop around and find some good pricing on parts.

This is my first time going to kevin, and I am extremely pleased. He did an exceptional job repairing and painting a dented fender, and at an very resonable price. I don’t look forward to having car problems again, but would be happy to return to Kevin should any problems arise.

I decided to take my car to Kevin after reading these reviews. Kevin did a really great job tuning up my car and his prices are extremely reasonable. Most importantly, he is honest and genuinely cares about his workmanship. He also made sure to communicate well. If there was anything that he could not explain in English, he would communicate by showing me the problem and the part. He is professional and he genuinely cares about satisfying his customers. I am very glad to have found «our» mechanic!

This guy is good. His English not so good, but it doesn’t matter. I needed two CV Joints put on my car (or you can call them Axles). The Honda Dealers Quoted me from 750.00 to 1000.00 which didn’t include the tax. I read this review on Unilocal and said what the heck. Called him to find out what time he would be at shop. I then went to AutoZone and bought the two CV Joints for 125.00 for both. Then went to his place and he said he would put on for 160.00. I agreed. Went next door to get some authentic Dim Sum and came back two hours later. The job was done perfectly and he showed me the old parts and asked if I wanted them. I asked him to keep the parts. Paid him and left. When I got the car two hours later a woman was also there and she spoke good English and was very helpful. People stay way from the Dealerships which are there to fleece you. Take it to Kevin’s place I recommend!!!

Seeing that I just moved to Atlanta, I had no clue who to go when my car decided to stop working. I saw the great Unilocal reviews for Kevin Lee’s Auto Service and decided to give it a shot. Kevin was amazing. Not only did he pick me up from the Marta station, he also charged me half of what I thought I was going to pay. He does not speak too much English but is really patient and will make sure you understand all that needs to be done to your car. I highly recommend anyone to go to Kevin. your car will thank you!

I got on Unilocal and searched ‘brakes’ when my front brakes started making a noise. Kevin Lee had great reviews and I am glad that’s the first place I went to. Though ‘very’ hard to find, once we did manage to locate him, he was very helpful, quick and very reasonable. Strongly recommended.

I thought I had posted this review for Kevin back in February. Since that time, Kevin has worked on five cars of our family, all with stellar results and at a great price. Below is my original review, that I believe is worth posting again. Kevin is the best!
Our normal repair shop insisted that our ’93 Prelude needed a $ 3200 replacement engine when ours began smoking under the hood. Oil had been changed frequently so what could be the problem? When I found Kevin’s 2 previous stunning reviews on Unilocal by accident, I decided to «take a chance» and get a second opinion from Kevin. Our repairs were more extensive than in previous reviews so I had to leave the car there and return for Kevin’s accurate estimate the next day. Wow, Kevin’s $ 900 estimate made our repair worth doing! (50% up front in cash). Kevin’s findings were that our «bad» engine needed replacement of several leaky engine gaskets, but compression was strong on all cylinders. Our repairs were completed in about a week. I had somewhat of a language barrier but Kevin was patient and kindly repeated when I didn’t understand the first or second time. Kevin is an honest guy with a secure, fenced outdoor repair facility, not an indoor shop. Kevin also replaced front brake pads and a tail light bulb and still kept our total cost close to his original estimate for the gasket/​engine rebuild alone. A few months after the repair, the engine is still running perfectly. I dropped off another car for repair today, a Sunday! If you give Kevin a call, he will tell you a convenient time to drop off your car and secure it in his fenced, locked repair area. Would you rather pay an indoor shop to have your entire engine replaced with a rebuilt substitute at an exorbitant overhead rate, or pay Kevin a fraction of the price for capable, honest work and personal service? Kevin has all the tools and diagnostic equipment needed. Perhaps someday Kevin will have a roof and lift, and an array of mechanics working for him and then his customers may pay more for these luxuries. Until then, I give Kevin the highest praise and truly believe others will have the same remarkable results that I enjoy. Kevin is a rare find and I wish him every success.

Originally recommended by my dad, I had no idea what to expect. I used to work at an auto repair service down on Buford Hwy (which I will not call out), and I couldn’t complain about their quality of work, but everything else was lacking. Kevin Lee is completely different.
Kevin Lee only speaks Mandarin Chinese, which limits his business pool, however, there is such professionalism in his work that I had to talk with him after I got my car back and was astounded at the quality of work and the ridiculously low price. I’m talking about ½ of what my old shop would’ve charged.
It turns out he’s recently immigrated here from Taiwan and is trying to get on his own two feet. He had a really successful auto shop back in Taiwan, but since he has two kids, he wanted to give them an education in the states, so he chose this place.
His appointments are by call-​in only, and if you don’t call, there is no one there to greet you but a «friendly» German shepherd that goes by Hailey.
Since my dad and him are good friends, I drop by occasionally and check up on him. He does all the work on my modified 1994 BMW 325is flawlessly, and I’m never going back to the stealership for services that are out of my league.
He’s a great guy that has earned both my trust and respect. His prices are unbeatable, and his location is really convenient for all you Mandarin speaking people. Get on the phone with him, drop your car off, and walk across the street to Chinatown to enjoy some good food or get your groceries at Din-​Ho. In about an hour, pick up your car, pay bottom dollar for excellent service and repair, and go home happy.
Also, he doesn’t mind going over everything he did to your car, showing you the parts he’s swapped, and explaining anything you might have questions on, something that I found invaluable.

I have been to Kevin Lee whenever I needed help with my car and he has never failed me to repair and/​or install something with my car. He does great quality work for a low price. Whenever you need help, you can give him a call and he’ll be right with you to do as much as he can. Although Kevin has a limited speech in English (Mandarin Chinese), he tries his best to communicate with you and very patient. There can be people there who can help you translate.
I have driven two cars. One a 1999 Honda Accord V6 and a 2003 Acura Rsx. I got into a accident with my Acura one night and was undriveable due to heavy suspension damage and I was able to drop my car off at his shop for him to look at. Surprisingly, he was able to fix my car with in a few short days! He is a man to trust and he is very knowledgeable.
Whenever something is wrong with your car, call him, drop it off, and he’ll check it out and fix it in matters of hours.
