History

Established in 2002.

After 16 years of experience in the HVAC industry, Troy Lanz started his own company in 2002 and began servicing Champaign-​Urbana and the surrounding area with residential heating and cooling. In 2005, a service department was added, followed by a plumbing department, duct cleaning service, commercial HVAC and refrigeration.

Even with such quick growth, we take pride in maintaining our mission statement:

Lanz believes strongly in giving back to the community that has supported him and allowed his business to grow rapidly. Lanz Heating & Cooling, Inc. volunteers time and donates material and thousands of dollars each year to many charitable organizations, such as St. Jude Dream Homes in 2006 & 2008, Habitat for Humanity, Oakville, Iowa Flood Relief, churches, shop with a cop & needy families.
