We specialize in Beer, Whiskey’, Scotches, and some Tequilas. Live music and DJs, and an Internet Jukebox, so you can search for almost any song that has ever been made. We also have a pinball machine, and a MegaTouch touch screen game. We have 1 TV, and we watch Cash Cab, Jeopardy, Illini sports, Bears Football, NFL Football, White Sox, and Cub games, and NCAA Basketball if the game is interesting. the rest is negotiable. We do not have a kitchen, but we welcome you to bring in food for yourself, from where ever you wish, and we keep menus from many of the nearby restaurants behind the bar.
We do Karaōke on Mondays after 10pm, and Bingo on Wednesdays from 9pm-12am.We also have a live Improv comedy troupe (The Abe Froman Project) that performs at 9pm on Mondays.
The owner loves to play Euchre and will say YES to a game almost anytime you ask.
History
Established in 1998.
Mike N Molly’s actually opened in 1996 on Clark St. and after a couple of years established ourselves as a local band venue. When we moved to our present location at 105 N Market we took on the challenge of bringing over 100 beers and 30+ Scotches and Bourbons to our customers. Other beer bars have opened since then, but Mike N Molly’s still brings a unique blend of Beer selection and music that keeps our patrons coming back for more. Our scenic beergarden is CUs only outdoor music, and occasionally theater, venue, and shows there truly have a special feel. And unlike many other outdoor seating areas, ours is well away from traffic and traffic noise. We are a little hidden away but once you find us, you’ll be back again and again.
Meet the Business Owner
Murph M.
Business Owner
I grew up here in Champaign. I went to high school here, and graduated from Champaign Central 1986. I left for a few years for college, and returned in 1992. I have done several local theater productions, but have been off the stage for several years. I love Champaign-Urbana. I have had a tough couple of years lately with the passing of my mother, older sister, and most recently my dog, but my patrons and staff are a wealth of consolation. I am blessed by being surrounded by the greatest people on Earth.
