Coming to the No Regrets Tattoo Shop, no matter if it’s your first tattoo, additional work or even a cover up of something you might have regrets for now, I want you to leave my shop a satisfied customer. I have over 14 years of experience tattooing in 2 well known shops, and consider myself a «new school» tattoo artist. To me, the art of tattooing is about working directly with you to help me design a tattoo for you, so that you will have no regrets for or about any of the experience later and at the same time give you what you’re paying for. I schedule and take appointments, but walk-​ins are always available if the shop is open and I’m not already working on someone. The new studio has already been thoroughly inspected by the Champaign Public Board of Health and licensed as a reputable and safe tattooing and body piercing establishement.

I’ve gotten 10 piercings and 2 tattoos at this shop. I’ll never go anywhere else for a body mod. Sam has done most of my piercings and both tattoos, I highly recommend her! Their prices are really good and everything is clean and professional. I’ve gone elsewhere for a piercing and accompanied other people, but no regrets is by far the best shop in the CU.

I cannot stress enough how much I love this place, especially Matt D. He does great work and understands what I want always. Everyone else is super nice, and unlike some other shops, it’s always entertaining they are always friendly! I’ve only worked with Matt D, so I can only really speak for him, but he seems to care about his art and the care of your tattoo, even during touch ups. I highly recommend.

I started getting tattooed by Justin McCarty at No Regrets while I was living in the area; I now live in Boston, and I’m still flying back to Champaign to get work done by him. He’s a great artist and all around great guy to talk to while you’re getting worked on. I think I’ve sat with him for around 40 hours at this point, and it never gets old. We always have some great laughs, which helps pass the time; but in addition to being a hilariously fun guy to kick it with, Justin also takes what he does really seriously. He’s an extremely talented artist who takes the time to make sure the details are right. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks Justin!

I got a daith piercing a couple of weeks ago. I was nervous but Christine was super nice and explained everything. It hurt so much less than I expected it would and I was super happy with the piercing. Yesterday I was playing with it and one of the balls popped off so I went back in. There was a wait, which was fine. It was a different piercer but she was super nice and helpful. She explained how she was going to fix it and apologized for the wait. The shop is SPOTLESS and prices are reasonable!

This review is about piercings. I called ahead to see if I could make an appointment for piercings. They take walk-​ins, and when I went, it wasn’t busy at all. They recommend that you make a consultation with a tattoo artist if you are getting a tattoo.
They have you fill out the release form and copy your i.d. Make sure you have it with you! They only let one person go back with you to get work done. I had two friends so they let both of them come back with me. I thought that was really kind of them.
I don’t think my artist is listed on the website, but she was very, very patient with me. I tend to be very squeamish and get nervous when it comes to needles and other painful things. She did two «practice» rounds where she took me through all of the steps. This was very helpful to me because I knew exactly what was going to happen and how to cope with the pain (big breathes!). She was also thorough on her explanation of how to clean the piercings.
My only complaint would be that they had a limited supply of earrings to choose from. They were waiting on the shipment when I went in. I would suggest calling in and asking about their selection since you will be wearing that certain piercing for awhile.
I walked out and certainly did not have any regrets.

I came here to get my earlobes double-​pierced. The piercing process was quick and relatively painless. I didn’t have an appointment but didn’t wait long.
I’m giving 3 stars because the holes are uneven, which I asked the piercer about before she did it and she said they would definitely be even but one is a few millimeters further from my first earlobe piercing holes.
In addition I wasn’t completely convinced of the cleanliness of the facility and I wasn’t given any aftercare instructions. I realize a lobe piercing is pretty easily maintained but I got my ears pierced first when I was five so I had no idea how to care for a new piercing.
Overall it was an OK experience, I would probably go back for another piercing.

I went here to get my tragus and a cartilage piercing done. Sam did my tragus and Amber did my cartilage. Both were professional, kept me at ease, and most importantly gave me awesome looking piercings. I recently went somewhere else for a piercing… huge mistake. Should have stuck with No Regrets!

I came here to get a new ball for my piercing and the service was good, although not the most efficient. It’s a pretty small location, but they didn’t seem to be especially busy, anyway. The piercer seemed to know enough… but didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable. The prices were decent and the place seemed pretty clean.

Went to no regrets today to get memorial tattoos for my triplet miscarriage with my mom and mother in law. The man working the front counter was beyond awful. First, he said my idea was dumb and that I didn’t wAnt to do that. Then he Made it very clear he didn’t have time for us, snapped at my mom about her not listening to him and really just lacked all around in customer service. I am so glad we went somewhere else and were treated with the respect we deserved. We had no regrets about leaving!!! Jerks.

I felt comfortable from the moment I stepped inside, and was very pleased with the professionalism of the staff. My tattoo turned out beautiful and is healing well. I would recommend this place to anybody searching for a reliable tattoo parlor. The pricing is fine, as you get what you pay for.

I was recommended here by a friend and got my first tat here. Since then I’ve spent about $ 800 more and plan to go back. 20 hours and counting. I live in Chicago suburbs and still drive the 2 hours for him. Justin McCarty is an outstanding artist who can bring ideas to life or simply copy exactly what I want efficiently. Great work guys.

I got my first tattoo yesterday at No Regrets and literally have no regrets (pun definitely intended). :)
The studio is clean, sterile, organized, and well-​staffed. It’s also easy to get to and in a safe part of town. As for the staff, all of them were extremely helpful. My husband was asking lots of questions about piercings and I was asking lots of questions about tattoos and they were great about taking the time to answer them.
My tattoo was done by Justin McCarty (or Cookie) and it looks great. This being my first tattoo, I was extremely nervous and had a little difficulty articulating what I wanted. But he drew up a great design and walked me through the entire process which definitely helped me feel more at ease. I also have a nickel allergy, so I was concerned about the inks having a bad reaction with my skin — Justin reassured me of the colors that would and wouldn’t have adverse reactions and gave me plenty of guidance for taking care of my new ink during the healing process.
Prices are also very reasonable and the customer service at No Regrets is great. I did a shit ton of research on tattoo parlors in the Champaign-​Urbana area and am so glad I chose this place.

I have about 20 hours of work from various shops across the U.S. I went to No Regrets because several people told me they are the best in town. Overall, I am pleased with the work of my tattoo but it is the shop that I had issues with.
When I first went inside, several of the artists had food all over their work spaces, which isn’t cool. One of the guys who works there or volunteers there; I don’t think he’s an artist but he was doing basic scut work I think he said for discounted tattoos, he kept screwing around and acting like a tool. He was also talking non-​stop with my tattoo artist who seemed distracted several times. Final complaint — my tattoo artist kept talking about wanting to wrap-​up the evening so he could go to the «titty bar.» A «I just want to get this over and move on» attitude doesn’t bode well for a lot of customers, particularly since they are getting something permanent on their body.
Pleased with the work but won’t go back.

Phenomenal tat and piercing shop. Super clean, knowledgeable, and everyone is really friendly (unlike some other shops I’ve been in). I’ve had 2 tats and 2 piercings done here and recommended them to friends… still have a few more of both to do and can’t wait. Pinky is awesome btw… My piercings were quick and nearly painless. She knows her stuff and will tell you how to do it right to avoid infections or problems. Listen to her! Can’t wait for my next piece of body art!

I’ve had two tattoos done by Jason Shanks and No Regrets and have been very happy with both (and to respond to another reviewer below, he did remember my friends and I on repeat business). Very impressed the multiple times I’ve been in there, the place is clean, pretty relaxing, and all of the staff I’ve dealt with were friendly. I think prices were pretty comparable to the other tattoos I’ve had done. Overall, I would definitely go back to Jason for future tattoos.

The tattoo I got at No Regrets had to have been about three years ago, but I ought to give credit where credit is due.
My tat is exactly what I wanted, basically an exact replica of one of my favorite paintings by Egon Schiele, a wilting sunflower on my ribs. Pricing was definitely fair, especially considering I was a poor college student at the time.
Where No Regrets went above and beyond was when I was late to my appointment by nearly 30 minutes (car trouble) yet they still fit me into their schedule.
The place was definitely clean and the staff professional. Would definitely go back if I still lived in the area.

I’ve had 2 tattoos done and a nose piercing.
What I like: the music isn’t heavy metal screaming, the staff isn’t scary looking as in many tattoo studios, Jason Shanks does excellent tattoos & the nose piercing was uneventful & fast. The place is clean with a small but well done waiting area.
What I didn’t like: the tattoo tables are not private at all, so the general public can walk in & watch, the staff won’t remember you if you do repeat business, and they take awhile to warm up. Jason isnt in a hurry to draw up pictures and get back with you, and you do have to push him to do his best work.
Having said that, a tattoo is a big deal, he does excellent work, we had a great time once we agreed on a design, and I would definitely go back. Price is reasonable for the quality of work, parking can be difficult, and they tend to be busy but they are within walking distance of many restaurants & bars. I suggest making an appointment. Overall a very good experience!
