I am a person in remission from organic schizophrenia. I have been off of psychiatric medications for several years and am having a normal life for a change. Teresa Westenhaver took in all my other physical concerns such as asthma, reproductive health, acute tendonitis, and a comprehensive soft tissue injury – and then declined to take me on as a patient. When I asked her why she wouldn’t take me on as a patient, she tried to politely defer my question. Her expression changed as I reminded her that I could see that a Medicare patient that included no Glaxo Klein commissions for prescribing psych meds was obviously NOT going to make her any money. The Doctors just drool when they see psych patients like me coming, they must be making so much money that they can afford to turn away all the other health concerns, rather than offer good service to the community. As I left the office, I wished her good luck making her Mercedes payments. I guess I will have to wait until the end of the commissions program from Glaxo in 2015 before I can get regular health care that won’t involve being a cash cow for doctors. Here is a link to the Glaxo press release, so no one can accuse me of being delusional to line their pockets.
