Allstate Insurance: Joe Kennedy

I’ve had him for a year and he’s always very responsive to my emailed questions and very friendly. I would definitely recommend! He has the consumers best interest in mind.

Dishonest agent. Do not trust him.
I had him for my home and auto insurance and back in November he was supposed to change my deductible for my home insurance from $ 10k down to $ 1k. We corresponded through email about this. At the end of December I had water damage to my home and emailed him again. We spoke about the deductible and he said that he remembers talking about it but never changed it. He even apologized for his error and said he would change it that day. I received the email for electronic signature to change it to $ 1k. However, later that day when I filed my claim for the water damage it showed $ 10k still. The claims adjuster told me that its $ 10k. I looked online and that signature card that I just completed wasn’t there! I told the adjuster to call the agent and he will explain everything, that he had made the mistake but told me he fixed it. The adjuster called me back to say that the agent was denying that we had agreed to reduce the deductible to $ 1k and said we only discussed it. He sent the earlier emails to the adjuster showing this but didn’t sent the most recent ones of him admitting his error! I then had to forward all my emails to the adjuster of JOE KENNEDY admitting his mistake, apologizing and even the email asking for my signature that mysteriously disappeared. The adjuster after two months said they got it figured out and reduced to the $ 1k. However, I am switching agents because of this. I cannot believe that JOE KENNEDY went out of his way to cover up his mistake instead of owning up to it. Very very shady business practices! Do not trust him with your coverage!

I spoke with Amanda who was professional, courteous and knowledgeable. She worked with me to save me over $ 200 with the same coverage on my home owners insurance. I am also changing another policy on a vehicle to Allstate.
