Chompie’s — Arizona’s New York Deli restaurant, bagel factory, bakery and catering serves a huge menu of breakfast all day, lunch & dinner 7 days a week at its four locations in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler. Chompie’s also offers a special kids menu. It was originally founded in 1979 when the Borenstein Family — Lou & Lovey and their three grown children, Wendy, Neal and Mark moved from Queens, New York and ventured west to Phoenix, Arizona and fulfilled their dream by opening the first Chompie’s.

History

Established in 1979.

In 1979, the Borenstein Family-​Lou & Lovey and their three grown children, Wendy, Neal and Mark moved from Queens New York and ventured west to Phoenix, AZ and fulfilled their dream by opening the first Chompie’s. Best known for its award-​winning N.Y. style boiled-​then-​baked bagels, famous «Mile High» corned beef and pastrami sandwiches, Jewish Sliders (featured on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Season 3), homemade matzo ball soup, fresh baked-​from-​scratch breads, black and white cookie’s, N.Y. style cheesecake, huge menu, breakfast-​all-​day, and catering, Chompie’s has grown to include multiple N.Y. Style Deli, Restaurant, Bagel & Bakery locations in Arizona-​and its «family» has expanded to include spouses, grandchildren, dedicated staff members, and its valued customers.
