Healthy Pools

Joe did a terrible job. He was very unprofessional, rude, and a bad worker. He claimed that he need to drain and chemically treat our brand new pool, that was remodeled 8 months ago by Shasta. We had someone from Shasta even come out to our home to make see what he was doing, he didn’t even have an explanation for them. Shasta said that you do not need to drain and or do a chemical bath unless there is algae or it’s been 3 years and want to just clean it. Joe just wanted our money, there was no reason to do it, and he wasted our time as well. He worked for us for a few month to do a weekly cleaning, and he wouldn’t show up half the time. Worst pool experience ever.

Joseph Gains Maintains his reputation as per the reviews below, I will attach pictures to show examples as well. I hired Joe on the premise that he was a hard working, and nice guy. He seemed to be «legit» when I hired him. He told me that my previous company had scammed me and my filer was never replaced, and that part was true and I appreciated him cleaning my filters for me, it was over priced but he did that. For weeks, on weeks on weeks I asked him to get the dirt out of my pool on the bottom, and stair cases and not just pick the leafs off the top of the pool, and he just religiously said that «pools get dirt, it’s natural a lot of my other clients have dirt its normal» I told him, that this pool is less than 1 year old, and has just been resurfaced and i’d like it to be vacuumed so that I can have its new coat look good. He told me that with the dirty previous filter draining the 9 month pool! was advised to clean the dirt instead of just throwing it in the filter. I said, okay… Stupidly. Then he chlorine bathed my pool that had no algae. I had to Call Shasta Pools to come over, and do an inspection because using chemicals on my less than 1 year old pool Could have possibly Voided my warranty. Anyway, After all that craziness he then texted me threats and disrespect all the way to threatening to put a Lien on my home after I said you need to finish the work you were paid for. Interestingly enough he doesn’t understand what a lien is, and spells it lean. He never vacuumed my pool, never maintained the state of my pool, and missed days many times and tried to send me bills for the entire month when he wouldn’t show up. He is unprofessional and has a mean streak about him that if you get him at all riled about inquiring about his performance he will verbally attack you. Funnily he also likes to say «I take this Job very serious, and I do not cut Corners» This individual is why there is a joke saying anyone can be a Pool maintenance company. I have had some horrible Pool workers in the past, but in reality he has been one of the worst, and he Disrespected me entirely and offensively.
Don’t use him. Save your time and your stress.

Got burned on this one. We thought Joe was a hard-​working small business man, but he is a flake who was happy to take several thousand dollars and then just disappear after doing a so-​so, somewhat unfinished job. I wouldn’t say he ‘stole’, but I do think he gave us a less-​than-​new product and definitely didn’t live up to his promises. We gave him the benefit of the doubt several times, and trusted him but shouldn’t have.

We hired Healthy Pools to complete a project by Thanksgiving. It is now March 26 and they still haven’t completed the job. During this time they were supposed to continue care of the pool. It has been cleaned once during the past five months. At one point we had mallard ducks swimming in the pool it was so dirty. Healthy Pools installed a heater for us, which dramatically increased our energy bill, and then were too lazy to even clean it. I’ll post a picture of the pool’s absolutely disgusting state as of this morning.
Healthy Pools is impossible to communicate with. At one point they ignored my texts and calls for over two weeks.
In sum, Healthy Pools is happy to take your money, abuse your trust, destroy goodwill, burn bridges, take a mile when you give and inch, but they seem incapable of finishing the job for which they have so eagerly taken money.
