Robert’s catering made our wedding reception a breeze. We thought we had made a final decision to go with another caterer when we came across Robert… the delicious food, amazing cake, and fair prices helped make our decision easy. And on top of that, Robert’s took care of all our linen and place setting rentals, made our centerpieces, decorated the tables, and did all the set up and clean up of our reception hall. Their professionalism at the reception was second to none, and their friendliness at the tastings always made us feel welcome. We can’t wait to eat the top tier of our wedding cake next year… I highly recommend Robert’s Catering as a one-​stop catering shop.

I rarely write a review a few hours after words. But i couldn’t wait to write one for Robert’s Catering. I found them on Unilocal 7 months ago, and hired them for our reception party. Robert walks you through the process of the entrées, sides, salads, and cake choices. We arrived to our backyard reception from the venue to find an incredible setup. The food and cake were 2^nd to none, everybody loved it. Highly recommended. Thanks Robert and staff for a perfect ending to our wedding.

Roberts catering did our wedding in gilbert. Food and service was excellent. We had just over 100 people there and we had many guests who said they really liked the food. The price was fair too. They even let us use some laterns as center pieces at no extra cost. My wife and i are 100% satisfied.

The best feeling in the world is when the guests from your daughters wedding keep coming up to tell you that the meal was the best they had EVER had at a wedding. We had an amazing duet of carved roast beef with Aujus and a Chicken with Mushroom sauce that was to-​die-​for! Every plate came out the right temperature, was beautifully plated and presented by a superb staff that really took care of everything so we didn’t need to worry about anything. And the cake was absolutely perfect! The gorgeous and delicious 10 tier chocolate torte was heavenly and the dessert station selection was incomparable! This should be one of your first calls!

Roberts Catering is amazing! I was married last weekend and hired Roberts.
I was referred to Roberts from Davids Bridal for the cake but ended up hiring them to cater the entire reception. It was a small reception in our backyard for 25 people but it felt like fine dining! The staff of two phenomenal ladies set up the buffet beautifully! They spoiled us from the start and made sure we were taken care of. They conversed with guests and made everyone feel welcome.
The food was so good from the stuffed mushrooms and meatballs to the carved beef and hunters chicken.
I can see why some of the comments were made about Wendy because they don’t realize how much she knows! Once you understand that she speaks from experience and wants to make your day special you know you are in good hands! She told us from the beginning that we wouldn’t have to worry about a thing and we didn’t. Trust Wendy she knows what she is doing.
Now for the best part… the cake was amazing! We went to a tasting and were sold from first bite. Our wedding cake was even better. It looked just like I wanted and tasted amazing.
You will not disappointed with Roberts. I will definitely use them again. My wedding was amazing and beautiful and Roberts had a huge part of that!

Robert catered our wedding on April 18, 2015 in our backyard. All I can say is that, it was perfect. His staff are superb and one of a kind. He even came to help his staff and be part of this wonderful and memorable occasion. That was really nice of him to be there. The service, food, and presentation are just amazing and we are lucky that we’ve found him. It was the best choice that we did for our wedding. My husband and I can’t wait for him to cater our next occasion again and again. Again, Robert and staff, thank you so much and mabuhay!!!

Roberts catered my nephew’s (Dylan Plimmer) wedding this past weekend. Food was delicious and the staff was efficient and unobtrusive. I was the aunt-​in-​charge-​of-​last-​minute-​details, probably because of my OCD. One of the servers, Phyllis, made me look good by noticing and attending to details that went beyond her responsibilities – e.g. Noticing and removing price stickers on our picture frames, calling attention to flame less candles that weren’t operating. She also agreed to start a battery-​operated decoration that we placed once the appetizers were set out. The event was great and I can’t recommend Roberts or their staff highly enough!

Robert Catered our wedding this past weekend and man oh man did he out do himself!
I had had his food before at a different event and it was delicious Mexican and we decided that we wanted to do a taco bar for our reception. Each element was so delicious alone, but even better together! We had pork, beef and fish (both fried and grilled) with all the fixings and delicious rice (which was different than his normal rice and even better than usual). He had the tortillas as is but also created almost a quesadilla out of them for added flavor, but what was great was the people who didn’t eat meat loved having a cheese crisp with the fixings as their meal so it was great all ways!
So I have to admit, living out in the desert and being from the East Coast, seafood out here scares me! When we proposed doing Cape Cod/​New England style apps, Robert loved the idea and ran with it… but I was still nervous. When we went in for our tasting, ROBERT BLEW ME AWAY!!! We had chowder shooters, scallops wrapped in bacon, lobster roll canapé, a Mexican shrimp cocktail (close to ceviche) — all of which were amazing and he had raw oyster shooters at the wedding! Seriously?! WOW.
Robert made cupcakes and small pastries for the deserts and they were phenomenal. He also had bartenders for the wedding so that made our lives extremely easy.
The best part about Robert is that his crew is so helpful. We had a timeline of when we had to leave the venue and his entire crew helped in that preparation. It just shows you how hard working he is and how much he cares about the job he does and his staff was so nice and we loved them!
Everyone has been sending us emails and texts and coming to us in person telling us how amazing the food is, because lets face it, not all weddings have great food, but this time, we did and I am so proud of the job Robert and his crew did!

Robert’s Catering provided the side dishes and a pot of chili for our non-profit’s big annual dinner and I have to say — the quality of the food, the presentation, and his constructive advice about future events, outstanding! You can tell Robert makes special effort to see that everything is as good as it can be. He’s been in business in the same location for a long time. Once you try his food, you’ll see why he’s been so successful.

My family has been using Robert’s since he started his business. By far the best cakes! Actually, they make the best everything. Strawberry rum cake is by far my favorite!

I am very sorry to say that the food served at my father in laws 90^th birthday was absolutely the worst I have ever eaten. It was a small party given in their home. The baked macarroni was burnt on the bottom and around the edges. The «filled meat roll» of whatever it was had a sliced dill pickle in it. Our son, who can eat ANYTHING, was horrified at the taste of it. The eggplant was bitter. The stuffed zucchini was cut thick and almost raw with very little filling of who knows what. Even the chicken breasts were horrible… tough and stringy. I had to get a steak knife from the kitchen to cut into it. OMG! The only thing appealing was the salad and the cake. If all you want is cake you will be okay, otherwise… RUN!!!

Robert’s Catering made our wedding cake for us. It was a 3-​tier cake, 2 tiers being almond cake with peanut butter frosting and chocolate shavings and 1 tier was spice cake with caramel apple. It was delicious! We scheduled a tasting at Robert’s business in Chandler and we were very pleased with the selection of tastings we were offered. Our wedding was on November 28, 2014. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Robert’s Catering. They were accommodating but still helpful, professional but warm and personal, and of course they did a fantastic – I mean, really, really fantastic – job on the day of.
First: I did all my wedding planning on my own, and I wanted a custom menu. Basically, I started with a craving for shrimp and grits, and I built my menu around that. Robert spent half an hour on the phone with me, then exchanged dozens of emails with me, just hammering out the menu. He was experienced enough with Southern cooking that he could accommodate a lot of my suggestions, but also not afraid to make his own recommendations based on experience. I loved it.
Second: Incredible value. I started off with a dollar amount per person that I wanted to spend on food, and I got more than my money’s worth, I am certain. We had Charleston style shrimp and grits, and chicken and sausage gumbo over rice as the two main dishes, plus appetizers (like a fantastic crawfish dip on baguette and deviled eggs that pretty much disappeared) and sides (people raved about the collards with pork jowl, the sweet potato fries, and the extra rich mac and cheese). AND ON THE DAY OF, Robert showed up with fried catfish, on the house. People LOVED it.
Third: The dinner service was lovely. I had beautiful HUGE dishes, classy silverware, lovely red napkins with matching service table linens at my request. Friendly staff, tried to serve my husband and I food (we said we’d do it on our own, no problem!), brought us drinks, so wonderful.
Fourth: Our cake was GONE. As in, I gave away the slice a staff member brought me because I was so excited for a friend to try it (vanilla almond cake with strawberry rum filling), and then never got another slice. Perfection.
Fifth: The bartender did an awesome job. We brought out beer and wine to our venue and forgot about it. He completely took care of the set-​up, and even saved all the corks for me as I requested.
All in all, I have no doubts and no complaints because I had absolutely nothing to worry about with Robert’s. My parents, moreover, were thrilled with the food and the service we received from Robert and Wendy and the rest of the staff. This was the right choice for my wedding :)

Went in to order my daughter a my little pony Birthday cake. Robert and his staff went above and beyond to have her cake ready in short notice. We are so grateful and the cake looks amazing! We can’t wait to taste it and we will post pictures after the party of her amazing cake! Thank you Roberts Catering!

Cake is my favorite food group, and as someone who has indulged in many a slice, I can confidently say that Robert’s has some of the best cake around. They have a huge variety of different gourmet flavors, but my go-​to flavor has always been the vanilla almond cake with the strawberry rum Bavarian crème (as in yummy Vanilla rum Bavarian crème with big sweet chunks of strawberries in the cake layers). It’s sure to please everyone, since there’s no chocolate, nuts, or anything else that people might be picky about.
Wendy and the rest of the staff are very friendly, and they will advise you on designs and flavors. It is a small place and stays busy, so make an appointment to ensure you get to taste their flavors of the week and customize your cake with the staff.
I have not had the chance to try their non-​cake catering menu, but I’ve enjoyed their cakes both at my own and others’ events. You can expect your cake to be delicious, just the way you ordered it, and well worth the money.

The service at start was great, the lady went over great details about taste and the many flavors they made. The issue was when my wife and I arrived to the reception we notice the cake was white on white (Was suppose to be White cake with silver piping). I personally enjoyed the taste (It was a really good tasting cake) but my wife was not to happy with the piping. The price we paid was actually more reasonable then others.

Robert’s did our wedding cake for 4÷14÷13, and it was amazing!!! (I am writing this review a bit late — don’t judge… or judge more… we haven’t done our thank you cards yet, either!!)
We had three «tiers», but they were on separate stands at various heights. It was perfect!!! They patiently allowed us two separate visits, much of the wedding party did not live in town, and did tastings both times. It was sooooo hard to choose a flavor! We ended up going with the Champagne raspberry for the main cakes, and the poppyseed blueberry for the bride and groom part. Holy cow was it yummy! It says a lot at a wedding, after a full dinner is served, for people to have seconds and thirds of the cake! It was moist, flavorful, and perfect!
Now were looking forward to our anniversary cake coming up in two weeks! Yay! The forks are ready!

Roberts catering did our wedding cake it came out awesome! They look great and the taste great and they have great options as well! Higher recommend them. They also let you buy your 1 year cake for a lower price :)

Robert did the catering wedding on 10÷11÷13, and the food was amazing. He was great to work with during the planning process, and worked with us a lot on what we wanted for our food. I told him that we weren’t planning on doing a traditional cake because I was going to go with pies instead, and he offered to do the pies for us. And then on top of that, when I did end up getting a small cake besides (because the Strawberry Rum filling was delicious in the tasting) he said it was no trouble at all. Well, on the day of the wedding, we had a buffet of pies (apple, cherry, pecan, and berry!) and a lovely two-​tier cake that I didn’t even ask to be decorated, but had lovely buttercream icing.
They really went above and beyond with their service and the food was delicious. The pies evaporated. I managed to get a piece of the apple and it was amazing. Robert made sure that my husband and I had everything at our reception that we wanted, and he checked up with us to make sure that everything was going to our liking. Everyone complemented us afterward, and there was leftovers that we were able to take home and feed a family party with the next day. I’d recommend them to anyone in the Phoenix area.

I had the best experience w/​Robert and Wendy!!! They’re sooooo awesome to work with! They’re funny, very personal, easy to work with, and most importantly, their food and cake was more than awesome!!! Robert made our wedding day perfect! We got sooo many compliments on the food (New York Loin & Chicken Picatta)…which we wanted! He went beyond our expectations with the food and service. We feel like we owe him more than what he gave us!
At the last min. I’ve asked him if he could serve the bridal party our food first since I was concerned about time… he was right on it! He saved us cake, saved us some macaroons (glad he did because they were all gone by the end of the night), he helped set up our candy bar, lighted the candles, set up the drinks/​bar, etc… everything that goes into the reception, he did it!
I told myself that I would not go through this wedding planning again, but if I had any other big events like it, he would be my first pick.
