Meet the Business Owner
Don B.
Business Owner
Hi, my name is Don Ballard and I am the owner of Master Mechanic Diagnostics & Repair here in Chantilly, VA.
I opened Master Mechanic after being in the automotive industry for many years in roles ranging from Dealership Lot Porter to Director of Operations for a Multi-Dealership Sales and Management Company, to owning my own Dealership Service and Supply Company.
Starting when I was 14, I began rebuilding engines in cars, fixing motorcycles, performing vehicle maintenance for friends and neighbors and have been a passionate car enthusiast. My first major project was swapping a 327 cubic inch V8 Chevy motor from on old Impala into my little 1973 Chevy Vega.
I attended VA Tech (Let’s Go Hokies) and received my Bachelor’s in Management. I have earned my ASE Master Auto Technician’s Certification as well as my VA State Safety Inspector’s license.
I have been married to my wife, Barb, for 30 years and we have 1 son. I’m a member of the Lions Club and the Izaak Walton League.
