My Next Puppy

This is the saddest place ever. I’ve been here approx 20 times. Finally I asked to buy a dog and see how it does this weekend w/​family and my dachshund. They said not returnable by Sunday. This is Friday. So once you buy it. Boom. That’s it, which is why soooo many dogs have no homes. I have had 2 dogs. A Pomeranian that I bought as a pup until the age of 18. And my dachshund that is 9. I do not give up my dogs ever no matter what and they won’t give me a CHANCE to see if one is a fit for our family. Don’t buy one from here until they listen to YOUR needs. Not their $$ needs.

The asian guy was rude at the store. Ask him the price and he said, «I told you before it is $ 4000». Wow, what a response and I guess no customer service training but only potty training from that place. Guess no treats for that asian guy.;(

Yes, there are lots of bad stories out there concerning stores like My Next Puppy. Everyone has unique experiences and ours was a pleasant and fulfilling one. We have two Pomeranians and we picked these guys up at Dreamy Puppy. That establishment is closed now, but my experience there was decent as well. Working with breeders tends to be more challenging for us, so this place has offers convenience.
We were at My Next Puppy on their grand opening day. Sure, things were a little chaotic and «off», but it was their first day. My wife and daughter gravitated to the Maltese puppies immediately. Impulsive as it was we walked out the door with Bear. My daughter named him on the spot and he came home with us.
Banfield Hospital is next door to us and we took Bear there for his initial checkup. He checked out just fine and we proceeded to integrate him into our household. The store called me a few days later and said that the paperwork had «gotten» mixed up and so I had to return to get Bear’s rightful certificate.
The staff was really accommodating even though the place was packed during opening day. They have gated areas where you can play with the puppies and get to know them a bit. Bear is still learning how to get along with our Pomeranians, but he is my constant companion on the family room chair when I’m at home relaxing and watching TV.

We purchased a English bulldog from MNP and he’s great we love him and glad he’s healthy and all around a great pup.

My next puppy business is a Price gouger. When I visited a Cocker spaniel who was 6 months old, he was shivering. His eyes were covered with yellowish mucus. Thy cleaned the puppies eyes I front of me .That explains how healthy puppies are there.

An official of some sort seriously needs to review this location.
I visited this place and was there for less than 5 mins.
First off, their doors were wide open. why? Because it smells THAT BAD.
Never have I been in a Pet Store that smelled this terrible.
Of course after 5 more steps inside I figured out why.
These poor puppies were eating their own feces that were laying out.
This place looks so sketchy in so many ways.
If you look carefully you can see that these dogs are inside of bathroom shower tubs with a sliding glass door installed in the front. You can even see the drain on the bottom covered by the netting. And the hinges holding these glass doors are rusting… and the dogs were licking them. Animal cages and supplies are all made from quality non-​rust, plastic, or stainless material for this very reason. This has me questioning the knowledge and integrity of the owners for this type of business. This is such a simple thing we are talking here.
The workers look absolutely miserable. This one worker was trying to feed, what seems to be starving puppies, and they of course were approaching the glass door as it was being opened. When they tried to stick their noses out of the glass door, the worker was attempting to shove their faces back in and slammed the glass shut, hitting them in the noses. The manager ran over and asked if she needed assistance and she snapped right back at him.
I raised attention to the fact that multiple dogs were eating each others feces and they failed to do anything about it.
Not to mention that if you have pets, you can tell when they are malnourished and below average on weight. These guys were seriously underweight for their size. I also took a glance at the foods they offer on their shelves… those ingredients are NOT what you should be feeding to your dog. At least sell quality food thats good for them on your shelves. Not sickly by-​products. I’m worried about what they do feed these guys behind closed doors.
I have multiple pets and have family members with multiple pets, It truly saddens me to see these innocent ones eager for a home be treated this way.
This will not be one of the places I will be purchasing my next one from.
Let’s just say I will be alerting the county about this one. This is inhumane in so many ways.
I truly hope this comes to the attention of someone to please help these poor animals.

I’m not against puppy sales or totally into adopting like some of the reviewers– I’ve always bought my animals from breeders so take that as you will as you read the following review.
They had a lot of puppies– a lab, a golden, an Akita, a bulldog, a bunch of shibas, shit szus, cocker spaniels, some little dogs. Most seemed well cared for and healthy but two of them did concern me. The first, a lab who was probably 16ish weeks old in the first «crate» (glass front with open top) seemed healthy but absolutely miserable. He was too big for that cage and a dog that size needs to be moving around freely. I remember our labs at that age– they needed a lot of activity and attention. They mentioned to me that they had a big room in the back and I’m hoping that dog is in there most of the day and not stuck in that box. The second dog was a Great Dane (he’s pictured in another review). While he didn’t look exactly malnourished to me (Great Danes have hip bones that protrude and are naturally svelte) again, he was too big to be in that box and that other review is a month old so he’s at the very youngest 13 weeks old but probably older. He is way to big to be in there. I was heartbroken for these two dogs. I’m hoping an employee will see this and tell me that– yes, these dogs do not spend their days in these tiny boxes.
I played with a shiba puppy who was lively, active and looked very healthy. I briefly considered him and asked the price $ 2495!!! What? That’s outrageous. That’s triple what you’d pay at an expensive breeder. I’m sure the Great Dane is more expensive and that why he’s not selling.
I’m torn on this place– on one hand I would like two people to see this and go buy that Great Dane and lab immediately and take them home and on the other hand, I’m not sure I want this place to stay in business.
The employees I spoke to were nice and friendly and seemed to know about dogs. If this place does stay in business, I hope they stick to smaller breeds. Big puppies cannot physically develop properly in a tiny box.
If an employee sees this, please answer:
1) are they kept in there all day?
2) do the dogs who were alone get socialization with other dogs
3) $ 2495?!! What is that?
4) what do you do with the puppies that don’t sell and how long to you keep them?
5) give me the scoop on the Great Dane and lab. I wish I had space for big dogs, I’d snap them up.

I just want to thank George, and the staff for helping my husband and I adopt our first pet together. Not only was he more than helpful, but his customer service was impeccable. I’m glad we decided to take a chance since the first two reviews were only unsatisfactory. Thank you My Next Puppy for allowing us to add another member to our family! Keep up the good service!

My wife and I stopped at this location when they first opened to check it out. We were shocked at how well ran, organized, animal and customer focused they were on their very first weekend open. Since then our first English Bull Dog passed away and we were interested in looking to add to our family. We absolutely fell in love with one at their location that was well cared for and after we got her home found out she had already been taught a trick, no small task for a Bull Dog. We went back several times before deciding to make her our own Kelsey and Stephenie remembered us each time, allowed us to play with her as long as we wanted and have since been available for additional follow-​up questions. Even when she is border they send us pictures of the days activities and absolutely love her. It sets our mind at ease knowing she’s in such good hands while we have to go out of town. You can tell that the employees there really love animals and want them to go to a good home. Thanks for everything!

Stopped in here with 2 of the kids. Employee was on his cell phone the phone time. Dogs/​puppies are behind glass, not in cages. And there are only about 6 dogs here. Sad and disappointing.
