Specialties

Chapel Hill Pet Resort is Chapel Hill’s newest Doggy Day Care and Boarding facility. While you’re away or simply at work, your pup can make new friends and learn social skills in our beautifully shaded, outdoor areas! The yards are stocked with toys and pools, and every room is equipped with a cot for our overnight guests. We also offer training and minor grooming services.

History

Established in 2013.

After spending 6 months renovating an older facility, owner Georgia opened the doors of Chapel Hill Pet Resort in August.

Business Owner

Georgia has been training dogs and their owners for more than 18 years. After building her first boarding facility in upstate New York more than 12 years ago, she decided the sunshine was better in the south! Her second facility opened in 2011 and has been a huge success. With all of her passion and expertise, Georgia has expanded her boarding endeavors westward with the start of Chapel Hill Pet Resort!

We have had only good experiences with Chapel Hill Pet Resort. Our golden retriever, who has terrible separation anxiety, loves going there. Every time we drop him off he is eager to get back and meet other dogs and doesn’t look back at us. It’s easy to schedule his stays, and we’ve never had any hassles dropping off or picking up our pup. Max loves it!

I LOVE Chapel Hill Pet Resort!
I have an anxious German Shepherd, Tesla, who hates change. As you can imagine, I was extremely nervous about sending her to daycare. I tried another daycare, but it seemed like the staff just stuffed as many dogs as possible into a room, with little supervision. That is not the case at Chapel Hill Pet Resort.
The staff, especially Kat and Josh, have exceeded my expectations! They took the time to properly introduce Tesla to the staff and the other dogs, instead of just shoving her into a group with a million other dogs. Tesla now goes crazy with excitement every time we get in the car for daycare. Not only does the staff tell me about Tesla’s new friends whenever I come to pick her up, but they also post pictures of the dogs throughout the day!!!
I have even noticed improvements at home. Tesla used to submissive pee whenever we had guests over to the house, but she hasn’t done so ever since she started going to daycare. I HIGHLY recommend Chapel Hill Pet Resort!

I just picked up my boxer after a four night stay, and I must say, I am VERY impressed by the way he was cared for. He had never been to a boarding place, so I was pretty nervous dropping him off. When I arrived, the lady read through all of the paperwork and went over it with me, reassuring that she understood his allergies, prescription diet, leash aggression, and past history. I ended up having to extend my trip, and the helpful staff VOLUNTEERED to go all the way to the vet to buy a new bag of prescription food for him! Moreover, they were very accommodating when it came to giving medication, and I felt I could really trust them to make sure he stubbornly took it down! When I picked him up he was excited and covering them with kisses… he obviously made plenty of canine and human friends! I would highly recommend Chapel Hill Pet Resort to others :) Oh and don’t be fooled by the external appearance– it is not a huge fancy place (like some of the boarding places I have looked at), but it is filled with loving caretakers and happy pets! They give so much play time and don’t charge for all of the silly «add-​ons» like belly rubs and play time!

This place is the best I have ever used and I have tried many in the area! My Emmie came home exhausted, which rarely happens. The price is so reasonable because they get daytime play all day with the other dogs. Love these guys!

Our year old Lab, Bella, has called CHPR her «home away from home» for the past several months. She comes for day care during the work week and we have used CHPR for overnight boarding several times. We are beyond pleased with our experiences here! The staff is amazing and we know they love our dog like she was their own pup. We thoroughly enjoy the pictures that are posted and can see that she is having a blast. Bella loves coming and immediately perks up when we hit the gravel drive. She comes home each day tired and happy from her day of playing with the other dogs. We know she is well cared for and we will continue using and recommending CHPR!

I recently went on a 2 week vacation overseas – by far the longest I’ve ever been away from my pups! Boarding them here allowed me to feel at ease and not worry about them while I was away. They looked and smelled great when I came to pick them up, and I know they had a great time!

We have an active Jack Russell puppy and have used Chapel Hill Pet Resort on several occasions — overnight and daycare. Their buildings are clean and neat, the staff is friendly and clearly loves animals. They have two playgrounds: indoors and outdoors and they have play times and no extra charge.
Their pick up times are flexible and convenient — morning and afternoon 7 days a week. They also offer tours daily.

The first time my wife and I dropped our dog of here at day care we thought it was too good to be true. However the last three visits it got progressively worse. Yesterday my wife and I pulled up and we could here our dog barking (very unusual for her). We came up to the desk and asked if we could go see her playing and they said no. At this point we demanded and that is when we found out that she was locked in a crate. For the rest of the night our dog was very upset and wouldn’t leave our side. But due to obligations and a lot of doubting ourselves we took her back for a second and last day. We were able to pick her up early and again demanded to go back to see our dog. She was locked up again! As soon as she got outside she used the restroom and then drank a bowl of water. This makes me feel that she had not been let out all day. When questioning the staff they became defensive and we felt like they were not being honest. Don’t pay to have your dog locked up all day… this place is no good. Also very dirty in the back.

My husband and I needed to put our little corgi (Bowser) in doggy day care for a few days and we came across Chapel Hill Pet Resort. We were really pleased with the staff, the services, and the cleanliness of the facility. Our little guy even made a corgi friend during his stay!
That very weekend Chapel Hill was hit by a rain storm that took down the power in Chapel Hill Pet Resort’s neighborhood. The pet resort didn’t have electricity for 3 days which made it challenging to call in, ring the door bell and pick up our Bowser each day. However the staff was very accommodating didn’t even charge for Bowser’s stay until a few days later when their computers and credit card machines were back up and running. In addition, they even comped one one day for the inconvenience. I would gladly use their day care service again and recommend it to other pet owners!
