This company was very easy to work with, staff was helpful and friendly — would love to work with them again in the future, and would definitely recommend friends/​family to this company.

I am a current resident (8+ months) and it has been a great experience — Lynne and the entire staff at Louise Beck has been so helpful and kind. I recently decided to get a dog and Lynne has been so kind in helping me work with the owner of the property to gain approval and she has been so friendly and responsive and made the whole process super easy.
Additionally, as a resident, I’ve had a couple of maintenance requests and they have been answered quick and efficiently, which is always nice when you are in a rental.
On a homeowners note, I recently sold an income property and I wish that I had a company like this managing my place — it would have been a lot easier and less stressful to deal with. Overall I would HIGHLY recommend Louise Beck Properties! Talk to Lynne — she is the best!

I had a wonderful experience with Louise Beck properties while I was a student at UNC. I needed a place fast and last minute, and «Chris S» totally hooked me up. He was very helpful, answered my questions honestly, and made the moving in process seamless. I would highly recommend them… be sure to ask for Chris!

Thank you so much to Lynne and the team at Louise Beck! No one likes moving, but if you have to we highly recommend the professionals at Louise Beck. We first signed on with one of their properties purely out of a sense of caution. We were moving from 1800 miles away and were wary of leasing from an individual. From the very beginning they have always returned our calls and emails promptly, all maintenance request were handled in a timely manner. When our homeowners decided to sell, Lynne and the team at Louise Beck were able to turn what was turning out to be a frustrating home search into a fully executed lease on a new property in 2 days. 2 days! Sure, we were already in their system, but they ironed out all the details with efficiency that was more than impressive.
Until we decide to buy a home, our plan is to stay with Louise Beck Properties.

I rented from Louise Beck this last year and had the best experience. I generally do not trust nor like property management companies, but I could not have asked for better service from this company. They answered every single maintenance request in a timely manner. When we first moved in there were some lingering maintenance issues with the house, but they quickly remedied every single one and with a polite and professional demeanor. The ultimate service came at the end of our stay at the property. The owner tried to take advantage of us and took almost every dollar of our security deposit. Louise Beck spent hours of their own time poring over photos, talking to the owner, and advocating on our behalf to get us the money back that we were owed. They did not have to do any of this — they simply could have said, «Good luck in small claims court» — but they did the right thing, without any interest of their own (they don’t make any money off of the deposits as it goes straight to the owner). They went above and beyond to make sure the right thing happened for their tenants while keeping the owner happy. It’s so nice to see a company that cares about doing the right thing and employs people who feel the same way. I will never forget their service!

What a great team! You name it, whether it is Lynne, Brittany or someone else at Louise Beck, they have been fantastic! They make sure multiple people are reading your email replies as well as service requests and have responded promptly and are accommodating. Our rental was well prepped for our move in, very clean, walls were repainted and was perfect for our new home. Since then, any of our questions and requests have been answered promptly and they have been professional and an absolutely delight to work with. I would recommend to anyone looking to rent, or have a rental that needs professional management.

Before we moved, I read a few of these reviews and felt a little concerned, but I’m so glad we decided to rent from Louise Beck. They have been an excellent property manager for us! They helped us find the perfect home, have been easy to communicate with throughout the process, and have been 100% on top of all necessary repairs. Recently, we found a dog that we loved who needed to be rescued from a kill shelter. Lynne and her staff worked really hard to convince the hesitant owner of our property to let us bring her home and we are all very grateful!

I have a friend who rented a property from this company. They lived in a two-​bedroom apartment in Chapel Hill. It was lovely, affordable, and close to the UNC campus. I heard of no issues while they lived there, either with the company, with their apartment, or their neighbors. I hope I’m not breaking Unilocal’s rules because I did not engage in business with this particular entity, but since this is a positive review, perhaps they’ll let things slide, eh? Or perhaps it’s up to Louise Beck herself and her loyal employees to not raise the Unilocal alarm. Anyway, go for it!

I am a current tenant in a Louise Beck Properties managed home and have been renting with them for almost two years. In my experience, they have been very professional and courteous and they have gone above and beyond on multiple occasions. I have had need to request repairs a few times over the course of the two years and in every case, there has been a very quick and quality response no matter how small or low priority the repair need. I worked as a service manager in a high end automotive business for several years, so my expectations for customer service are very high; I can be very tough to please. In spite of this, I can say with utmost confidence that this property management company does an excellent job and has demonstrated repeatedly without fail that they do care a lot about their clients. I had an encounter with the prior tenant of the property I am currently renting when I was being shown the property initially, during which time the tenant (who shared the unit with 2 other roommates) said that she was mad that the management company never called before they were going to show the property, which left me feeling a bit wary about the quality of the company. However, I decided to take a chance and rent this property through them anyway. I am extremely glad I did. Now that I am soon moving to another property, I have experienced for myself that Louise Beck has given me no less than 2 hours notice before any showing and whenever possible well in excess of this amount of time. My whole experience leaves me to think that possibly some of the disgruntled tenants may have actually been the ones who were the bad communicator or they didn’t follow procedures, instead of the property management company being the problem. I have a feeling the prior tenant’s roommates maybe didn’t pass a message along, or something of that sort, rather than it being the fault of the company. I can only go on my experience, which as I said, has been excellent, even exemplary, for the entire time. I would recommend Louise Beck Properties to everyone.

We are renting form louisebeck properties and they have yet to fix the A/​C properly it has been out 3 times in the last several months, and their request that it must be over 90 degrees outside before we can submit a claim is outlandish.

I made the mistake of renting a place form them. After completing 2 years of leasing they totally shafted us on getting our deposit back. I would stay away from this outfit.

Horrible, horrible, horrible!!! I have to admit, during the time that I rented the property, LBP really was not that bad. A few of the people in the office were very nice. Where they really get you is after you move out. They will milk your security deposit for every dollar they can (legal or not). First, they did not return our security refund (what little there was left) until more than 2 months after moving out (legally, they had 30 days).
Second, they charged us for 4 burned out light bulbs. My roommate and I had replaced all bulbs the day before we moved out.
Third, they tried to charge us for removing a light fixture that never existed. Upon writing a rebuttal letter, they confirmed that they had no proof and refunded us for that item.
Forth, they charged us to «reposition the washer/​dryer.» The washer/​dryer unit was moved by an employee of LBP during a service call. It would take one finger and 5 seconds to slide it into any position you’d like. There is no need to charge for it.
Fifth, somehow they embedded several charges within other charges and had «removal of cobwebs» from outside porch listed. I could keep going on and on about how they never installed a smoke detector, tried to charge us for a screen that squirrels ripped (before we moved in), charged us for wall repair that wasn’t required, removal of debris that we did not leave, etc. Instead I will leave you with this exact quote from a charge that we incurred:
«Check ice maker for proper operation — arm was in the off position, when engaged, ice fell and refilled with water.»
Yes, that’s correct, we were charged for that! If you want a copy of my original rebuttal letter, let me know. It has a list of all of the statutes and laws that LBP violated. It’s a hefty list. I’d recommend living in a cardboard box before renting from this horrible, money sucking company. Unilocal,please add negative 5 stars for companies like this.

Louise Beck Properties does not only define the negative attributes and stereotypes associated with property managers and leasers, but goes above and beyond. They are unreliable, incompetent, maniupuative of college students, and severely disorganized.
I leased from Louise Beck while I was a student for two years, and wish I never had. Louise Beck Prop. ON MANY OCCASIONS (not just in my own experience but with others in the area) misrepresented their leases, does not follow through on what they say they are going to do, are hard to get a hold of, and are intentionally shady and omit information in order to better their situations.
Multiple other college students in the research triangle have had MANY problems with LBP. After consulting contract lawyers, who agreed that LBP’s documents are misleading, I am planning on filing complaints with the better business bureau.
STAY AWAY FROM LBP.

I called Louise Beck Properties with questions about a rental property, viewed the property and submitted an application and received excellent customer service from the Louise Beck team. I spoke to Alexander on the phone a couple of times, and Davis showed me the home. Both were courteous, friendly and professional. I’ve looked at several rental properties over the last two weeks, and working with Louise Beck Properties has been the most enjoyable experience by far.
