Specialties

A non-diet approach to making peace with food and maintaining a healthy weight.

Katie’s approach focuses on going deeper and understanding the underlying issues that affect your relationship with food.

History

Established in 2014.

Luscious + Intuitive Eating was established to help people who feel frustrated with their eating or weight find an approach that is sustainable, actionable, and just plain delicious.

Katie is not a nutritionist, and she will not tell you what to eat. In fact, her approach may be completely different from any diet book or magazine article you’ve ever read.

Her approach is based on the core idea that issues with food are not truly about food at all. Instead, «food issues» are a symptom that much deeper parts of your life are not in alignment. Until you figure out what is causing you to consistently eat when you’re not hungry or choose foods that don’t make you feel good, you will always struggle with «food issues.»

Katie is not interested in diets, or in a complex 8-step weight loss system. Her eating guidelines are simple and intuitive.

Meet the Business Owner

Katie S.

Business Owner

I spent years of my life obsessing about my eating and my weight. I always wished that I had more «willpower» around food, and felt out-of-control about my weight.

Eventually, it got so bad that I realized I needed to radically re-think the way I approached food. I found it was possible to make peace with food, eat in an intuitive and joyful way (that includes brownies), and maintain a healthy weight with ease. The best part was that fixing my relationship with food radically improved my life as a whole.

They key to this process? I discovered that my «eating issues» weren’t really about food at all. They were about everything else — my career, my relationships, how I spent my days, and more. Every time I was eating when I wasn’t hungry or past fullness, there was something else going on. And until I went deep and figured out what that was… I always thought that I just needed to go on another diet.
