History

Established in 1981.

In 1790, the Kittle House was originally built as Reisig and Hexamer’s Barn.

In the late 1800s, it was purchased by the Kittle family. In 1890 it was converted by Moses Taylor from a barn to a private residence. During the prohibition it was a roadhouse and was later turned into a school for girls in the early 1930s. It became a restaurant in the mid-1930s and was purchased by the Crabtree Family in 1981.
