History

Established in 1973.

DeBord Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, the most dependable, reliable service company in the Northeast Ohio area, has been servicing communities since 1973. When Jack DeBord retired in 1989, he sold the business to his nephew, Dennis Kratochvil and his wife Leona. Dennis carries on the family tradition as a fourth generation plumber. His great grandfather started the family plumbing trade at 105^th and Cedar in Cleveland. Dennis carries a state license for plumbing, heating, hydronics, backflow prevention, fire and sprinkler as well as a City of Cleveland Master Plumber.

2006 was a year of great change for DeBord Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. We made the decision to change the company name to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing and DeBord’s One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning, but we did not change ownership or management, so you will still get that great local service when you call. Our commitment to doing a quality job for long time customers and new ones like you is stronger than ever before.

Manager

Dennis B. Kratochvil is a fourth generation plumber and he feels that he could not have picked a greater profession to be in. He enjoys meeting and helping people and improving their quality of life. Dennis enjoys getting up early and going to work. He feels that he is surrounded by the best co-​workers possible. Their attitudes and their true concern for their co-​workers and clients make each day a great day.

Dennis is blessed to have three wonderful children, a great wife and so many true friends. He grew up in Chesterland and believes Northeast Ohio is one of the greatest places to live and raise his family.
