History

Established in 1993.

Geauga County Maple Leaf was established when the Geauga Times Leader daily went out of business. The Karlovec family bought the Maple Leaf out of bankrutpcy in 2001 and has published the newspaper continuously since then. Today, the Maple Leaf distributes more than 5,000 papers weekly to paid subscribers and through more than 70 outlets.

Although i didn’t expect everythin maple syrup, I did expect more then 2 mapel product vendors with lees prepackaged products from Canada. I thought it was a celebration of locally made goods. Too many of the same food vendor stands. Overall pretty disappointed.
