I hiked here once. I didn’t see much wildlife and it was crowded. The lake and meadows were pretty, and I saw a huge common snapping turtle. Never again.

Wildlife preserve donated by the local gravel company next-door, the lake is seasonal home to many waterfowl species. With its well-maintained asphalt walking path that circumnavigates the lake, this park is very popular, especially for jogging and dog-walking, with local Chardon and Geauga residents on the whole. Picnic shelters, benches and platform docks, and an observation pavilion with waterfowl identification placards are sure to make a hit for family outings.
