Worth the drive from Cleveland! This place is fantastic! The smoked pork is smoky and moist, the ribs have a delicious crust to them, the smoked half chickens are the absolute best tasting smoked chickens I’ve had, their bbq sauce is dark and sweet. It hits all the notes you want with bbq. I have to say that the sides are what’s really impressive. Most bbq places will have pretty good to amazing bbq however when it comes to the sides, you’re getting stuff straight out of the can or from the tub. Their coleslaw is fresh and a little sweet, the potato salad appears to be mayo/sour cream based with sage for the herb. It’s an interesting combination that makes the potato salad stand out! The beans are also good here. This is my favorite bbq place in the Cleveland area. Try it!

our facility(bgm) has ordered take-out from benny’s multiple times now. we have been extremely satisfied with each order!!! i have eaten bbq sandwiches, fried chicken salads, and cheeseburgers that are to die for! dressings must be homemade and their potato salad is wonderful with sour cream as a topping! over all my favorite place in charleston to eat thus far! the owner cares about the quality coming out of his restaurant! as one day we were unable to pick our food up on time, he politely remade our order to make sure we had a hot meal without us asking… i would like to add so far he also has great customer service. i was a waitress for 15 years, and i should know that he must run a smooth business to have employees care that much about the quality… kudos to you benny!!!

Great sauce and the fried corn on the cob is amazing. It has been open since February and we have been multiple times in 2 months. Although I’ve only tried the pork I’m sure the other is equally awesome.

Opened in February of 2015, this is Charleston’s newest restaurant. It’s located in the old sonic that once stood here. They have outside seating but you can not order from the stalls. You have to get out and go inside and order and pay. Then, you wait up to 5 minutes for your order to get cooked and ready. It’s a small cramped up space to wait inside if it’s busy. I was impressed with their bar b q sandwich. I added slaw too it and my sauce came on the side to go. I also got fried green tomatoes to go. They were great as well. However, I really liked their bar b q. Their bar b q sauce is a medium thick country sweet sauce. This was my taste, as yours might be a little different compared to what you drink and eat with it as well as what you eat before getting here. I did have some peppermint candy just before arriving here which may have dictated my taste today but if so, it was just a little. Now, they use real hardwood and slow smoke their meats for that old fashioned bar b q flavor. They also have chicken tenders, bar b q plates, sandwich combos, buffalo chicken tenders, stuffed baked potatoes, family packs, and you can even get bar b q by the pound. They also have salads. As far as sides are concerned you can get the following; fried green tomatoes, sweet potato, baked beans, cole slaw, French fries, onion rings, garlic bread and seasonal managers specials that may or may not change. In other words, their sides change. Their hours are that they close every day at 7pm and they are closed on Sundays. They also close one Monday of the month for doctors visits stated my cashier. In summary, I wished they were closer to Cleveland as I would come here more often. Ask for a «to go «menu as you can call ahead and it will be ready when you get here. I recommend the bar b q sandwich.
