C & H Taxi

We placed a call for 11pm and our cab was right on time, our driver was courteous, and the dispatcher was accommodating. We hit the trifecta! This company can be hit or miss but lately they have been more hit. My confidence is building…

TERRIBLE!!! I had a 6:45 AM flight today, and when I checked into my hotel last night, I asked the front desk clerk how long in advance I should call for a taxi. She actually chuckled, and said, «They don’t always show up, but when they do, it could be anytime during the day.» With that, I made it a point to call (5:00AM Monday) and the woman who answered told me she only had two drivers working, and that she would go out into the garage and ask the driver there if he could pick me up. She told me to «call back in a few minutes.» So I waited only 5 minutes (smart move) and called back. It went to voice mail. REALLY? Charleston isn’t exactly a bustling metropolis, but one would think that the capital city of a state would have some form of public transportation. I was told by several locals that Über wasn’t approved by those wonderful legislators there in West Virginia. So, my only question is this: would it even do any good to complain to a governing body such as a public service commission? If it is even possible, can West Virginia be any more non progressive?
Oh, I got a ride from an employee of the hotel, thank goodness. As I cleared security at the airport, I got a call back from this so called taxi service. I followed their lead and let it go to voicemail.

Really love the place they are always friendly and they are willing to help out in any way they can I contacted them one night during a blizzard and someone actually get back in touch with me thanks guys I’ll be sure to keep your number close by

50 mins for a pickup from the airport on a Wednesday evening, thanks. Can’t wait for Über to come to WV!

The reviews on here for C & H are a bit harsh, I think. My goodness, this is a relatively small town with one taxi company and few taxi drivers. If something is so important that you may lose a job or contract or miss a plane, then use a shuttle service or ask a friend to pick you up. I have used this company easily a hundred times in my life and they do a decent job with the amount of drivers that they have. I have been picked up late a few times, but I have been picked up early more times.

My husband had some where he needed to be at 630… So he called at 4 to request a 6pm pick up. All was good until they didn’t show as promised so he called back and they then informed him request times are not garunteed! Why could they not specify this when he called originally… He would have made other arrangements or called at a later time for a pick up! Do not rely on this place to get you where you need to go unless you have no schedule to adhere to. The disregard of this company caused my husband to be late for a pre registered competition and had to take losses for being late!

Most unreliable taxi service I have ever used anywhere, in the country. The drivers themselves may be nice (and each gives you their number or a card to call «them» specifically next time ?? Confused on that its almost like they know their company sucks and they want to generate their own income somehow) I don’t know who operates the phone lines but I swear it sounds like a kid answering sometimes and they always tell you «15 minutes» which one day I waited 2 and half hrs (on a Sunday) for them constantly telling me «15 more minutes» which made me late for work and almost loose my job. They need to be honest about wait times and get it together!!!

I guess I had to double the review since they were only 15 mins late. Didn’t really expect they’d have a ton of business at 4:15 am. It was just the start of a 21 hour ordeal to get from Charleston to San Jose. Still and all, it was not the worst part of my trip.
