Charleston’s First Elite Event @ Fish Restaurant

Best event ever! I never even knew Unilocal did events like this so I had zero expectations. Man, are they set high now! Fish was amazing. The chief sent out so many delicious appetizers to try. Lamb, fish, crab, pork, etc. It was the perfect event to try food at a restaurant you might not go to otherwise, try their specialty drink (unlimited!!) and meet new people. Fish, Unilocal and Scotty C did an outstanding job with it all!!! Make sure you do your Unilocaling because these events are worth the work. :)

Wonderful time meeting new people and fellow Unilocalers!!! Great food fun times. Cocktail was delish.

What can I say about Chucktown’s first Elite event?
Great food with a side of great company. The turn out was fruitful and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I can say that whom ever I introduced myself to was friendly and more than willing to have a genuine conversation with me. Another sign that we all must drive the cool bus here in Charleston!
The food was just ridiculously delicious. The idea of creating a Dim Sum menu to let customers sample more of the fabulous food was genius. The soft steamed buns were some of the best I have ever had. Overcook them and they are too hard and chewy. Undercook them and you get a soggy mess. Thumbs up to the chef for executing the dishes to perfection.
Nicki, what can you say about the awesomeness of those cocktails. She was the end all be all bartender. She had one mission, and that mission was to make you love her and want more drinks. Well she has succeeded in said mission. The Troy your Luck cocktail was delicious. Before I knew what was happening I had at least 4 of them already. Fast with the drinks and a great smile, I just hope we can have a bartender that’s half of what Nicki was at the next event.
The wait staff was working that room like the were in an ice skating competition. Graceful with the trays of food and somehow Terry kept finding me, she made sure I got to try everything she had to offer. For that I am truly thankful!
Great job on planning and executing this event! I just hope that the next ones can live up to this one.

Fish was extremely accommodating and provided an excellent variety of hors d’oeuvres off their new Spring menu. This was my first Unilocal Elite event and was extremely impressed throughout the entire night with the service and the friendliness. The Charleston Community Manager for Unilocal,Scotty C. was very welcoming and did a great job putting on this great event.

This was my first Unilocal event and I loved it! Everyone was really nice and friendly — I brought a friend with me because I can be a little shy and have a hard time butting into a conversation with people I don’t know. If I had come alone, it wouldn’t have mattered one bit because everyone was so nice and intercepted the both of us to make us feel welcome.
The venue was cool too, staff was very friendly and the new cocktail they let us sample was very tasty. I thought the food was pretty good but not mind blowing — I’ll have to try it again for a real meal.
Can’t wait for the next event. Thanks for putting this together!

I loved the event! Thank you guys for the invite, since I’m almost elite, hehe. My husband loved it too, we met a lot of nice people and it was a great way to get out of the house on a beautiful Spring evening in Charleston. We definitely want to go back to Fish for lunch sometime, too. The swag was great and everyone made me feel welcome. Thanks for putting it together, Scotty C.
Refreshments were great– even including some non-​seafood items for those who eat meat but not seafood (I do wish they’d brought out another vegetarian option, though. That grilled cheese one was good.

It was definitely fun & for the 1^st party in Charleston the turn out was great! I look forward to the future Elite events! Everyone was very friendly & social. Food was amazing, drinks were high class, & swag was fun. I would have liked the music to be a little louder and a little more energy like a band instead of one lonely guy in the corner. The service & elite «staff» was so helpful & great at making sure it was an amazing event! Hopefully the next one will have a little more food but hey! its free so Ill take finger food over nothing! :) Great time!

What a blast! The 1^st Charleston Unilocal event was a success! Special thanks to our CM Scotty C. for putting this together and a big thanks to Fish for hosting us.
The food, the drinks, the music, and the service at the event were all A+! Chef Nico did a great job at sending out some wonderful samples from their spring menu items and the servers did a great job making sure everyone got a taste. Nikki the bartender was fantastic at throwing at the drinks.
I’ve been to a lot of Elite events and I have to say this one in Charleston has to be one of the best I’ve attended. It was great meeting new friends and seeing old (recently met) ones alike. Everyone was having a great time and it was great getting to know everyone.
I am so looking forward to future events and watching the Charleston Unilocal community grow. If we keep this up we’ll be the #1 Unilocal community out there!

I am so excited that we have a real, burgeoning Unilocal community in Charleston… finally. What took so long?
The fiancée and I had a great, great time last night. Thanks to Scotty, Chef Nico, Nikki the bartender and everyone else for making this even so successful. It was so nice to see so many people dedicated to making Charleston awesome.
I was soooooo happy to see this first event at my absolute favorite restaurant in Charleston, Fish! The spring menu was phenomenal… I wanted to steal the whole plate of pork belly sandwiches and go to town, but I was somehow able to restrain myself and just have one.
I can’t wait for more Unilocal events in the future. I’ll be there!

Had a ball at my very first Unilocal Elite event. Met some really cool people, and some very tasty bites at Fish. I wish I could remember the names of all the things I tasted last night. Loved the lobster rolls, bbq pork belly, and the tuna appetizer. I wasn’t crazy about the clam crème brule’ dish. Just didn’t move me. LOVED the drink that was being served. It was called Troy Your Luck. And a big SHOUT OUT to last nights event bartender Nikki. She put her foot in those drinks. Had a blast, can’t wait for the next event.

What a great night! The Fish staff was awesome. Got to give a shout out to our future wife Nikki for the best drinks in town! Damn those were good! Everyone there was so nice. I enjoyed meeting most of you. I wish I had the opportunity to speak with each and every one. A great shout out to Scotty for a job well done!

Gosh, the first ever Elite Event in Charleston SC. I feel super honored to have been able to attend and see the beginnings of a new Unilocal community!
Amazing turnout — crowded in fact — as new Unilocalers in the Holy City showed up in droves. The big room was quite packed and I was able to work around the room and meet some people who’ve been Unilocaling for a short while and some who have been Unilocaling for a long while. A couple +1’s were trying hard to get signed up so that they could check in. (Hey, T-​Mobile! Your coverage here SUCKS!)
Ah, the wonderful food and beverages. I managed to catch two trays that went by of some sort of steamed buns, one with pulled pork and the other with a pork belly. And of course, a stop at the bar for a free drink with tequila and really sharp ginger ale. I didn’t catch the bartender’s name, but she was super awesome.
Scotty, you have a great looking community here. And I know that you’ll lead them well!
