Saw three sides of one cemetery through the gate and saw print pictures of sightings. Waste of money.

My wife and I did the Ghosts of the South tour with John on Friday night. The tour was great. John has been doing tours since the mid-90s and is very knowledgeable about the area. He took us around and told us stories about places where ghosts have been spotted. He carried around a tablet and showed us pictures. John gave a lot of history along each stop and was able to answer all of our questions that we had. I asked about a random building at one point and he had many stories to tell about it and its history. John is personable and knowledgable. I would recommend this tour for anybody who has an interest in ghosts and who wants to learn about the history of various buildings and areas in Charleston. My only regret is doing the tour on our last night in Charleston. It would have been nice to have another day so we could use the information that John passed down to us.

This was an intimate tour which took about 60 minutes and covered a little over a mile. Our tour guide was John who was very well spoken and knowledgable about the area as he stated he grew up here and has been doing tours since 1995. The tour takes you to several spots where ghosts have been spotted and continue to be seen occasionally. John carries a tablet which has photos of ghosts from the stories he tells which includes photos from some of the previous tour guests. We heard ghost stories as well as some historical facts. Definitely glad we chose this tour and would recommend it to others.

Did the Sunday 10pm tour and it was one of the best parts of the trip! John is a great tour guide, he tells fascinating history and great stories. He also gave several late night dinner recommendations and other helpful info if you ask. There were only adults in our tour group made up of random folks from everywhere and no kids, but it would be fine for kids too. It is spooky but not too scary. I really loved it!

Loved it! John the tour guide was way awesome, spouting out story after story and even some non-ghost-related history. Definitely take the 10PM tour! As someone who doesn’t like things too scary, the entire thing was just fascinating. He uses his tablet to use pictures to connect to places, and obviously ghosts. One of a kind!

It wasn’t scary or spooky, but it was very interesting and informative. And our guide, John, was super nice. He’s native to the town and has been doing tours since like 1995 so he’s very well informed.

Ghosts of the South is one of many ghost tours around Charleston. Ghosts of the South is also the best ghost tour around Charleston. During the tour, you walk about 1.5 miles throughout historic Charleston as your tour guide John leads you to four haunted locations. At each, the group listens to the spooky tales of Charleston’s ghosts and hauntings. John augments each story with historic photos shown on his tablet. These provided good context and some spooky images. While there are many ghost tours in the area, this is the only tour that takes you inside two of the locations. The fourth and final story is also unique to John and Ghosts of the South. I really cannot recommend this highly enough. The(roughly) 90 minute tour provided great local flavor and an evening of entertainment. John really makes the tour exceptional. He is very well spoken, knowledgeable, friendly, entertaining, respectful, and prepared. As a native Charlestonian he also has great recommendations for other worthwhile events and tours in the area. There were kids of all ages touring with me, and they were all captivated by John’s story telling. For the concerned parents: The stories, locations, and images are not violent or gruesome at all. Overall the experience was very entertaining and memorable. Whether you believe in ghosts or are skeptical of such supernatural tales, I recommend Ghosts of the South to everybody and anybody living in or visiting Charleston.
