Quickshot Shooting Range – Charleston

My Mom and I went and had a great experience. It was the first time shooting a gun, for both of us. Our instructor was incredibly knowledgable, patient and informative. We will definitely come back!

This was my first time I was so excited but then I got nervous going over the instructions on how to use the gun I began to get a little scared but my cousin who was way more experienced than me helped me out a lot. I had so much fun throughout being nervous and the staff was very helpful and nice, I will definitely be back, possibly trying a bigger gun

This was my first trip to an indoor shooting range and it was one of the busiest days of the year according to staff. Maybe people want to get out some frustrations of all the family togetherness during the holidays? Bring in the New Year with a bang? Anyway, the lobby was packed and we had a large group. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were able to get us all checked in, gear issued, and access to two lanes rather quickly. I honestly thought we would have to come back another day or it would take hours to get in.
It is obvious that they put safety first here. There is an overseer who maintains the shooting galley at all times. They also have staff who come in and sweep up shell casings and check around to make sure they’re aren’t any issues. They offer assistance and suggestions, while making sure everyone knows and follows the rules.
There were all levels of experienced shooters, but at no time was that an issue. There was even a woman getting what appeared to be a first lesson handling a gun at all. The trainer was supportive and the woman seemed very pleased with her experience too. Most of us brought weapons but a couple rented. There are also targets for purchase, and protective hearing and eyewear available for rent for a nominal fee. I suspect I will be making another trip here in the near future!

this place is always awesome. its clean, the staff is knowledgeable and really helpful. its a bit pricey, but its an indoor range and one of very few, so its worth it. They often have specials on range time. they have full auto rental and i think you can even shoot shotgun slugs there.

Went alone on a Sunday afternoon. Staff was super friendly and helpful, completely different experience than I’ve had going to ranges up north.
Very reasonable prices and super well ventilated. Asked about rental policy as I was leaving, 10 dollars for a rental handgun, prices go up from there for rifles.
Will definitely be back!

The receptionist is very friendly, the range is clean, I didn’t price ammo, but bring your own pistol targets. All they have are small 6″ diameter «paint smudge» type at $ 2 each. The RSO grudgingly gave me another bulldog clip to hold my target up, as I was shooting 2″ groups in each corner of the target at 40′. Maybe he was mad I missed and shot off one of his so valuable clips, OR, that I am female, and was the best shooter there. Maybe even better than him! I am NRA certified RSO and pistol instructor, not that I told them that. I like ATP better.

Just wanted to update my review. As I have continued to frequent Quickshot, I have become more comfortable with my 9 mm. I am both accurate and precise, and there is a difference. I feel comfortable hitting a target near and far.
The staff are incredibly knowledgable and patient. Some of the guns are glitchy but they welcome you to bring your own, so I do. I great place to earn your concealed weapons permit.

We had a great time here shooting. They set several of us up on a few lanes. The auto weapons are a must for an experience I won’t forget. Thanks Alex, good to meet you and the team!

I would like to believe that my girlfriend and I would have had a pleasant experience, however, after driving across town from Daniel Island to West Ashley for 30 minutes we arrived at 5:01pm and the gentleman behind the counter didn’t allow my girlfriend and I to have that chance to shoot. Apparently being a minute late is a huge deal. I let him know that we had driven all the way across town and trie to get there exactly at 5 p.m. so we would be allowed to shoot, but he didn’t seem to care. Their loss, I was looking forward to purchase a firearm and I will be taking my business to ATP in Summerville which has a much bigger selection and I’m sure an even better indoor range as I’ve been a few times before. I guess this place doesn’t know anything about southern hospitality.

Words really cant express how geniune this guy was. His name was ken and within minutes i knew i found a place to go to learn and practice. From here on out i will use this place to build knowledge and its good to know that there are true professionals around. Thanks ken.

VERY clean indoor range. Also very popular, so expect a bit of a wait on weekends or holidays. They have a huge range of weapons to rent and shoot. It’s can get rather expensive depending on what you rent. Not a lot of lanes and it’s rather crowded in the range area but they have safety professionals with you at all times.

We were a group of 15 and had an extremely pleasant experience here. To begin, we were first timers and New Yorkers so we were a handful of personalities but the gentleman who took care of us went above and beyond to explain everything to us and teach us the fundamentals of handling a firearm. It was reasonably priced and we will definitely be back!

Very nice facility. Good safe atmosphere yet the range officials aren’t smothering like other places I have been. They were there to assist if needed and ensured everyone was safe.
Gun rentals on premesis and plenty of ammo to keep you going. They have everything there to ensure you have a fun and safe time.

Dont buy the ammo there. Son got a box of new s&w 40 but when we opened it some where steel and some were brass. I guess they reload it and try to sell it as new. $ 19 for 50. All the steel rounds jammed.

Overpriced, small lanes. Don’t waste your money paying not only for a lane but also for each person using the lane. Amo price is ridiculous, as well as targets. Also, you can’t keep your own brass with the lane sweeper/​range guy up your butt the whole time. Seriously, just drive to ATP

Brought in a bachelor party with a mix of experienced and novice shooters on a Saturday afternoon. The guys at Quickshot were great in getting us set up with 3 lanes to handle 9 guys. They gave us great suggestions on which guns we might want to fire and were extremely helpful with training and advice for safe firing technique on the range.
I would definitely go back if I’m in the Charleston area anytime soon.

I went to this range today with my girlfriend to help her try to narrow down which pistol she wants to buy. She has a membership and I do not, but they treated me with the same courtesy and respect that they did her. This is hands down the most friendly gun range I have ever been to and I have been to a lot if them!
They have a variety of guns you can shoot and are very helpful. They always have a person in the range to help and when he/​she isn’t assisting someone, they are keeping a close eye out for safety and cleaning up as well.
This has been the most pleasant visit to any range ever and I highly recommend them to anyone. It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran shooter or a beginner, this is the best place in town to go!

I hadn’t fired a gun in 15 years and my GF had never shot before when we visited yesterday. We had a great time, the staff are really helpful and friendly. The counter guy helped guide us with gun selection and the other person on the gun range was great explaining differences between each gun and explaining how to safely handle each one. We had an awesome hour and a half there shooting 4 pistols and 2 rifles for approx $ 75 including gun hire, ammo, targets etc.
Unfortunately we don’t live in Charleston otherwise I would definitely return. I definitely recommend these guys for any other beginners. Thanks Quick Shot!

I have been to several ranges and have never been to a place like QuickShot. I am a new gun user and wanted a place to learn about gun safety.
At QuickShot I found the staff to be extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. I have been able to try different types of guns and ask lots of questions.
I have been so pleased I bought an annual membership.
My only hesitation in giving a good recommendation is that everyone will find out about this gem.

Often times when you go to a range you’ve never been to before, the staff will treat you poorly. In fact, knowing absolutely nothing about you, they will usually speak with a very condescending tone and «make sure you know they are in charge» which on some level I understand, but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t wanted to crack some fools’ skulls from time to time over the years. Anyone who has been to a shooting range before probably knows what I am talking about. Not so at Quickshot. They staff obviously makes safety a priority (there ARE live weapons in the mix, folks) and laid out the range rules without being haughty or overly pedantic. Overall it was a pleasant experience. I will be back.
Protip: Did I mention they have fully automatic weapons for rent? It’s a quick way to burn through some cash (in ammo) but if you have never had the experience, it’s worth a shot. (pun intended, haha!)
