SCOOP studios, a Contemporary Art Gallery, proudly represents twelve local and nationally recognized artists including Ben Timpson, Karen Ann Myers, Lisa Shimko, Bill Mead, Christopher Murphy, Kenton James, John Stango, Dorothy Netherland, Arthur Newman, John Morse, Karin Olah, Austin Schulz, Cyle Suesz and Stewart Young who each have their own unique process and form of expression. The variety of mediums created by each artist are oil, acrylic and Rust-Oleum paintings, mixed media with found objects, recycled paper collage, fabric collage and copper that is torched, hammered and etched as well as photography. Their subjects focus on contemporary culture as well as political and iconic figures that challenge the viewer and themselves.
