Tabbuli is a cool place to hang out with friends and have drinks or smoke a hookah. It’s pretty hip inside. They seem to have a lot of events going on including drag shows. They have one of my favorite drinks ever The Mississippi Mule! It’s a typical Moscow mule but with Cathead honeysuckle vodka YUM! The food is okay at best and the last time I ordered something it took 45 minutes to make a tabbuli salad. Idk what was going on in the kitchen but that was really unacceptable(especially when the restaurant was dead). Pretty pricey especially if you’re getting a hookah so you should split it with friends.

The food was a refreshing and tasty meal. The server was very attentive and knew the menu. I can’t upgrade to 5 stars because I haven’t tasted enough of their dishes. I am somewhat hard to please so to come across this place and taste the fragrant, succulent food renewed my appreciation for authentic cuisine! Yum!

I LOVED this place! Great service, good drinks, great music. We didn’t eat, it was raining during the latter part of the weekend so we wanted an alternative, this was it! In fact, I would go back because their patio looked amazing but with the rain, it wasn’t ideal. I definitely plan on making this a place I stop into when in town. Great job!

We went here for a party last year and won a gift card. I finally dropped back in for a late lunch and it was terrific! We had the olive app and it was a great start to our meal. The waiter, Christian, was awesome and super attentive. We ordered a Gyro and a chicken wrap of some sort and both were outstanding. I don’t mean outstanding like I can’t think of a better word, I mean like I wanted more bread to wipe my plate clean outstanding!!! Great place with super food and excellent people. I can’t wait to go back and try some more.

My first time at Tubbuli. I had the Ayopa Street pizza. What a treat! Service was great and they genuinely cared.

Wonderful place for lunch or dinner. My boyfriend and I shared a platter with various meat kabobs and plenty of accompanying tastes. I’ve also had the falafel here and it is some of my favorite falafel in Charleston! Prices seemed high at first, but the food has been great each time I’ve been. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere along with a decent sized bar and a great outdoor patio. My only complaint is the first time we tried this location the service was very slow(restaurant wasn’t busy) and they took one of our orders to a different table and had to remake ours! The other visits have been a little better with service. Great Mediterranean food option!

Came across this little gem completely by accident. Food was fresh and flavorful. Fantastic service and reasonable prices. Had the kabobs, can’t say enough good things about them. Some of the best lamb we ever had and the chicken was juicy. To die for Bloody Mary! Definitely try this place.

Okay appearance but good music playing just music themes. Service is good. Menu is good and food tasted good. We ordered falafal with pita, Babaganush, hummus, deep fried eggplant. Prices are reasonable. Well visit again.

Really great meal; but some of the best service I’ve ever received. Greeted by a nice young lady at the front desk who was in a genuinely great mood. Seated quickly and able to order soon after. Had the Tabbuli salad with lamb meat. Very different, but very lite and great for lunch. Really one of the most pleasurable meals I’ve had.

Here’s the story of J. Roget. You know the bottom shelf champagne right down there with Andre and Cook’s? The one that is frequently used by restaurants for bottomless mimosas? The bottle of bubbly that costs $ 5.99 at Publix? Tabbuli is selling it at highway robbery prices. I met a couple of friends at Tabbuli in West Ashley on New Year’s Eve. They had already ordered a bottle of champagne, so I got a glass and joined in on the fun. We split the Tabbuli Mediterranean Trio. It was fantastic — super delicious, garlicy hummus and pita bread. I was sold. And then we got the bill. $ 40 for a bottle of J. Roget!!! We asked the bartender if this was some sort of mistake. She gave us major attitude, looked it up in the computer, and told us she actually hooked us up and charged us for a cheaper bottle because J. Roget was in fact $ 60. That’s right. They charge $ 60 for a bottle of champagne that is $ 6 at any grocery store in town. Come to think of it, I could drink several bottles of it for $ 12 at several bottomless brunch spots if I felt so inclined. I go out enough not to have been born yesterday. I am well aware of standard markup on alcohol in restaurants and it’s certainly not 10x the retail price. The food and atmosphere were great, but I will never be back to Tabbuli. Maybe it was a fluke with this one bottle of champagne(never saw a wine list), but this is straight up stealing money from the customer and I for one will not be supporting it.

Upon walking in, I was pleasantly surprised at the nice décor – contemporary with fantastic lighting. The hostess was friendly with a warm smile. Since I was placing a to-go order, she directed me to the bar. The bartender was also sincerely nice. I put in my order for a gyro with a Jerusalem salad(Jerusalem Salad, which includes chopped tomato /cucumber /parsley /greens) and a gyro. The wait time was no more than 10 minutes and the bartender made friendly small talk to help pass the time. After getting home 10 min later, the pita was soggy due to the Jerusalem salad. What a bummer! If anyone is reading this review from Tabbuli, please ensure the wet liquid salads aren’t put in the same container as anything with bread. The meat was good but I wasn’t satiated since I had to trash the pita.

Went for brunch a few days after enjoying the Unilocal elite party. The food was excellent. Loved the Mediterranean Benedict featuring pita as the base, tender sautéed spinach topped with a yummy grilled tomato and perfectly poached egg. The baklava tasted homemade. Our server(Ryan) was a delight. However, the music was just awful. Imagine a blend of Gregorian Chant with Days of Our Lives dramatic soap opera elevator music. And they were just blasting it. I didn’t need to be inspired to backpack in Tibet or run with the bulls. I just wanted brunch. Lol. Some soft James Taylor, Postal Service or jazz would have sufficed. Even no music would have been better. It made the experience odd and borderline unpleasant. Music is a huge part of my life experience and as such, I’ll have to pass on brunch here next time unless they make a change.

Enjoyed a fabulous soirée here last week. The food and drinks were outstanding. I am really impressed at how they have transformed this restaurant. They offer diverse drinks, a Mediterranean menu and hookah! There’s something for everyone. The ambience is very relaxing, and makes for a great place to enjoy drinks/dinner. The food was all delicious. From falafel to hummus and pita to chicken and more. I look forward to returning again soon! They have improved much since my first review.

Aahhhh! Tabbuli. I mean, who doesn’t LOVE Mediterranean food? It’s fresh. Simple, and pleasing to the soul. This visit was for an Elite event, so our menu choices were limited to the event menu. But that didn’t stop this restaurant from putting out some of the best tasting Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. The hummus trio was fantastic. The olives that were served on the platters were out of this world! We also munched on a Greek pizza, roasted veggies and Basmati rice. Yum, yum, and YUM! We also had a drink menu designed specifically for the event. I drank several Bourbon Navels while my GF had a couple of Blue Mules. Interesting takes on uses for Gin and Bourbon. Kudo’s to you Tabbuli mixologist! — Now for the down side. I live in Mt. Pleasant, and there’s a Tabbuli down town. So… yeah, I probably won’t go back to this particular location. But I still love ya!

They people here are friendly and they are staffed for a large crowd. I’ve definitely been here enough times to say I really like this place. The atmosphere and ambience even outside is very relaxed and airy. The food is usually very tasty and flavorful even though tonight it seemed a little bland to me. My favorite totem that they had was served during their opening event but never appeared on their menus. It was little stuffed potatoes which I liked a lot. Nevertheless I have been back here and have tried their humus, falafel, Jerusalem salad kabobs and beignets all of which are delicious.

This was my first time in the WA tabbuli so I didn’t have to write«their service as usual» when I checked in. The downtown service is a hit or a miss, but I think, even on the most crowded of nights, we can at least get a drink order in right away. My friends and I were sat and forgotten! 20 + minutes went by and we were all thirsty and HANGRY! We were sat in «the stage area» near the DJ, saying we’d have a front view of the show but we literally felt like we were on the stage, with a spotlight flashing over us and a queen booty practically in our faces. Can’t tell me you didn’t see us! We moved ourselves over to the side after 10 minutes, just felt a little awkward to be right behind the performer, wondering if we should let the hostess know. She was hookah smoking, I don’t know if it’s her job to let the waiters know a new table has been sat or to just sit people and then have a good time. Gosh. Hostessing is such a glamorous job. So this is a really sleepy place(a Friday night here is about half less crowded than a Tuesday downtown) and well maybe they are understaffed, maybe the 2 waiters are overwhelmed because there seem to be two extra large parties seated in the middle, IDK. They pay attention to their check ins though! So after I checked in, we got a waiter a minute later! I was not wanting to order any thing more than a coke at that point, and told him we were waiting for so long, how long will we have to wait for food too? We were reassured the orders would be put right in, so as a table we ordered a lot of mezze– hummus, falafel, babaganoush, feta-olives, and one gyro and then it did come out right away. Our waiter checked on us like every two minutes and each time he came to apologize so it became a little cloying. The manager also came over to apologize. She was on the floor the whole time and maybe should have noticed us when we were seated in front on the DJ for 10 minutes? If I didn’t check us in, would we have even gotten any service? I’m just really happy I got my falafels, they are just like tabbuli downtown’s and they are my favorite falafel(tabbuli makes them so they are more than just a dry fried ball of beans and they are covered in I don’t know what, «stuff») but you know, it’d be nice if you can get the food you like at a restaurant that you fully like :/ Based on other reviews, this tabbuli sounds like it’s a hit or miss on the service front(like the one downtown). If you get the service, you get good food though. Be sure to check in right away then! And bring cash to tip the performers if you go Friday night! As for me, I’m getting too old for this. I’m an old soul and I’m like scarf knitter old, not feisty– joins the drag show and goes home with a 20 year old boy old. Everyone in tabbuli is 200X suaver than me so no wonder no one notices me waiting for a half hour! I have maybe a few drag shows in me left, if friends insist, before I start trying to be in bed by 9.

Fantastic first experience! We popped in late(930pm) on a Friday evening. Perfect atmosphere and energy in this very pretty resto. Besides a warm reception by several staff(all genuine smiles), the simple yet classy décor of the dining space made this feel a bit romantic for my hubby and I. There’s a nice counter bar if you’re on your own and just want to chillax. The menu is easy to read, reasonable prices for beautifully presented and fresh Mediterranean eats. Basic booze selection(beer, wine, cocktails). Our appys(falafel & spring rolls) were just the right amount, served quickly. The tzatziki sauce I asked for on the side was super-yum! It was garlicky and sweet! We opted for two, individual pizzas: Ayopa & Mediterranean Grilled Chicken. Both absolutely outstanding! Thin crust, really cool kinds to choose from(definitely not your average ingredients), served HOT. One thing we both totally noticed was how much of a team feeling there was. The staff helped each other, friendly bantering all while being sociable with all the patrons(not just their own customers/tables), all to enhance our dining experience. :) Only down side is its kind of hidden, parking could a challenge at peak times when nearby businesses are open. Hookah pipes, I think are offered and provided by the resto, smoked outside on the patio area… We opted out. Will definitely go back.

I had been to the downtown location and didn’t realize this location was even here. Delicious falafel, great flavor. The lemonade with muddled cucumber and blue mule were also supper good. Thanks to the Unilocal elite party, I’m even more impressed with the level of service this location provides. Much more than just bar atmosphere, this sophisticated venue increases the degree of restaurant hospitality.

The food and service at Tabbuli were both great. We went tonight for dinner and really enjoyed it. Greek food is tasty, and we don’t have nearly enough Greek restaurants around so we were excited to try Tabbuli. We started out with a hummus appetizer, which was only $ 5 for Happy Hour(they also have wine and drink specials). We got the original/house hummus, which we didn’t like– it tasted like ground chickpeas with no flavors or seasoning. No garlic, peppers, lemon, etc. It just wasn’t good! The server was accommodating and brought us out a pesto hummus– *much better*. The pesto hummus was some of the best I’ve had, great taste and came with lots of pita bread for dipping and sharing. I’m glad the servers made it right. For my dinner, I had the Greek salad, which also came with extra pita bread. All the veggies and the feta in the salad were finely chopped and I liked that. It wasn’t a huge salad, but with the hummus, it was filling. The dressing wasn’t too overpowering and it was good. My husband had the lamb/beef burger and seemed to really enjoy it. Overall, we would definitely return to Tabbuli. It’s a good place to go for cocktails(huge menu) and appetizers and just to hang out. I do agree the vibe is a little off at dinner, kinda seemed more like a dance club. I think that’s cool for later in the day but at 6PM on a Friday was odd(we don’t do the hookah thing, sorry, just there for food and drinks!). The prices were reasonable with good specials and we were well taken care of by the staff.
