Bunker Hill Florist

Walked in on a Friday and asked for a bouquet that incorporated sunflowers with spring colors as they are my girlfriends favorite. Wow! They came correct! Amazing display and priced reasonably. Couldn’t be happier! (Nor could she).

Joe and Larry have been in Charlestown for over 20 years. They’re fixtures in our community. I don’t think I’ve ever seen more beautiful flower arrangements than the one’s that come from their shop. They do both small and large arrangements. Personally, I love the larger pieces. I’ve also seen their arrangements at different fundraisers and charity events as well as holiday parties. I wouldn’t buy my flowers from anyone else! Love these guys!

Bunker Hill Florist delivered a very nice bouquet for a funeral. It looked beautiful on the altar and was delivered on time. They were pleasant on the phone. I called back to change the time, and both people with whom I spoke were nice and very competent. I would recommend them.

Bunker Hill Florist is the best! Their flowers are fresh and their designs are gorgeous. Joe and Larry are artists — and really great people. If I could have their flowers in my house all the time I’d never be in a bad mood!

I searched Unilocal to find the best florist in Charlestown, and Bunker Hill Florist looked like the best option, I was certainly not let down!
I called to send flowers for a wake and had never done that sort of thing before — the man on the phone was extremely helpful, polite, and professional — he even helped me on the wordage for the message.
I requested something that looked nice but not too girl-​y and then described some colors — and I was very impressed with the arrangement upon seeing it! It was really beautifully done. Thank you!
I would love to have another arrangement from Bunker Hill (but hopefully for a happier reason).

What I like about this florist, other than their beautiful arrangements, is the staff. Professional, courteous, accommodating and genuinely nice people.

Thank you Bunker Hill Florist for creating a beautiful corsage for my daughter’s prom. As I was racing around doing errands late Saturday afternoon, my sister reminded me that a corsage was needed for my daughter attending her prom that night with a group of friends. I headed to nearby Charlestown knowing a florist was on Main Street. With little time to spare, a perfectly matched wrist corsage was created by the Pros at BH Florist. My daughter was surprised and thrilled. Thank you for making both of our days a special one!

More than about beautiful flowers… I stopped in to ask if I could leave with them a large vase I couldn’t use and didn’t want to throw away (left over from a gift arrangement) and was so glad they said «yes.» When coming back from the car with it, the woman at the counter sweetly asked if I’d like to take some tulips or hyacinths with me, as a gesture of appreciation — completely unexpected and unnecessary. They were doing me the favor. I couldn’t resist the tulips, especially this time of year, but more than their cheeriness, every time I look at them I’m reminded of how lovely the shop was to me. Made my day!

Although I no longer live in Boston I would not think of contacting any other florist for whatever my floral needs might be. Joe and Larry designed the flowers for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding where the color scheme request was red, a fairly unusual request. The bouquets and arrangements were beyond gorgeous. The attention to detail is always phenomenal. Wish I could give more stars!

Joe, Larry and their team are true artists in floral design. I was so impressed with the bouquets my fiancé would surprise me with, that there was only one choice when it came to which florist to work with for our wedding. I was so confident in Bunker Hill’s beautiful work that I didn’t even seek other bids from other florists – something I did for every other aspect of the big day.
As a former event planner, I had very specific ideas for the flowers. Joe and Larry clearly put a lot of thought into my vision and brought it to life far beyond what I had originally imagined. «Breathtaking» is the only word that can remotely capture their beautiful work. Thank you, Joe and Larry for making my wedding day so memorable and for being so wonderful to work with along the way.

So I like flowers. A lot. And I love unique bouquets that look like thought went into them. Enter Bunker Hill Florist.
The boyfriend (being as awesome as he is) surprises me often with bouquets from BHF. Each one is always a delight… it is so clear that there is a lot of time and energy that goes into each bloom they choose.
Guys (and gals) do yourself a favor. Call up and order. My best advice is to NOT order directly from their site (they offer teleflora service) and instead tell them a price point and them and let them do their magic. Best flowers ever.

There are not enough stars to select for an approriate rating! The team at Bunker Hill Florists were beyond AMAZING!!! They took our ideas and dreams and made them into a reality. What they were able to create for our wedding literally took our breath away. Simply put the wedding would not have been the same without these guys. They are so easy to work with and actually take the time to truly understand every detail of the wedding and our vision. Thank you, thank you, thank you to Joe, Larry and the entire team!

Need to say it again, I love these people. They do beautiful work, the flowers are fresh and they LAST.
And they’re very helpful. I wanted to send flowers to a memorial service at the last minute (I’d found out about it late). Rather than take my money and hope for the best, Larry admitted it would be hard for them to get the arrangement wired in time to get them there for the service. He advised me to call the funeral home and ask who they work with, then call that florist directly. Which worked. Ladies and gentlemen, THIS is how you customers should be treated!
They didn’t get that sale, but they have my business for life.

I hope that these turned out to be good flowers. I have a friend in Boston who is a celebrity, and wanted to send her flowers. Once the florist saw who was receiving, he invisibly upped the price we had agreed upon (I know that tax, licensing and docking fees don’t put out a business THAT much). I caught him before the mistake was fully consolidated, but I’ll not be using this place again. Won’t mention the store agent’s name, but he could have done me a more solid deal.

I called and spoke with Larry who was very helpful. I came right down for a last minute bouquet and he found me something at the low end of my budget within my other parameters. Very nice guy and I will definitely be going back to Bunker Hill Florist in the future.

Cute little florist and gift shop! Don’t be fooled by the smaller size of the store as they have many unique gifts. I have not purchase flowers but have seen the arrangements while browsing and they are just beautiful.
They have very nice candles, decorations, ornaments, and wreaths. Great store!

The Valentines Day Orchid that almost made it to Independence Day!
My husband bought me an Orchid for Valentines Day this year. I kept it in my office, it was stunning and had almost 12 blooms on it. I took a picture on my I-​phone and stopped in to show the owner how beautiful it still was on May 14^th~no kidding. I love the quality of this flower shop, the owner is such an artist who loves what he does. As I write this there is still one lonely bloom left on it. Thanks Joe for a gift that kept giving for 4 months!

I randomly found these guys through Interflora one time and the flowers they brought for my wife’s birthday blew us away. Beautiful roses that last at least a week. I thought it was a one time thing but repeatedly they have come through and any person who comes to my home always remarks how totally amazing they are. When my father-​in-​law passed my wife and I knew to call these guys — and the wreaths they had were astoundingly beautiful.

Great staff, creative, gorgeous, perfect arrangements. A little pricey, but worth it! They even have some cute small gift-​type items.
I highly recommend Bunker Hill Florist because they take the time to figure out what you like… my Mom sent me flowers and the person who answered spent at least 10 minutes on the phone while she described the kind of Orchids she would like in an arrangement she was sending to me. If you give them a color palette, or a shape of vase, or even just tell them a little bit about the occasion they will run with it!
They also do beautiful, creative window boxes. They come up with beautiful designs that are much better than the standard arrangements you get when you call some random florist. For an arrangement idea, I would ask them for something in a square vase, they look as great as Winston’s arrangements!
They have even saved me in a jam. I called there stuck in traffic and desperate for a few flowers to place around my house for a party, and they even stayed 5 minutes late to wait for me so I could get my flowers for the party, they were the perfect touch!
If money were no object, I would have definitely given them 5 stars. For a gift, a special occcassion, or that special someone: o) I would definitely send them flowers from here.

This place is really what a flower shop should be.
It is NOT a shrine filled with beautiful individual stems of green hydrangea and monsterous (and monsterously priced) dark, exotic lilies (although one can find those flowers at BHF) where a perfectly coifed beacon hill-​accented individual helps you arrange something tiny, but exquisite for roughly the price of dinner at L’espalier.
And it is also NOT the place where one can pick up a stuffed bear and a dusty heart-​shaped box of chocolates to go with their yellow mums for their «Mah» who lives in a triple decker in Lynn (though, they do accommodate all kinds… it is Charlestown, after all)
What it is, is a lovely, full, working flower shop with designers who have been in the business for years and an owner (love you joe!) who really cares about making sure that each person leaves with what they want, for a price that doesn’t make them feel like they’ve been had.
