My go to nail place in Charlestown! The techs take their time and my shellac always lasts a long time. Call ahead because it gets busy weekends and week nights

I gave Glitters three tries, but I can never go back. If you’re looking for quick and dirty, this is exactly that. I’ve never seen anyone sanitize any tools and no one wears gloves. The last time I went it seemed cleaner so I decided to give it another chance. All 3 times I was cut multiple times and my cuticles bled. It’s just not worth the risk for me anymore! A regular mani is $ 14. Picking out my color, I had to completely bend over someone having their nails done to reach the polishes. It’s uncomfortable for both parties. The file job and paint jobs are also sloppy. The hand dryers have this foam in them that is completely ripped apart. I want to love this place because the location is so convenient, but it’s not worth the risk of me contracting a disease and being in pain from multiple cuts every time I go!

This place is dirty, it appears that they do not clean equipment in between clients, and the staff is rude. My gel nails started chipping after 2 days and both my pedicure and gel mani look like a 5 year old painted them on. Waste of $ 60.

Fair prices and easy for a walk-in but I was generally disappointed as my manicure lasted only three days before they started to chip. I stopped into Glitters for a quick manicure while visiting my in-laws. The technician kept going over and over, with several fixes and in the end the nails weren’t as glossy as I like them. It seemed like regular customers get pretty good service.

Nice women, great service. Pedicures don’t last very long. Nail polish chips off after a few days.

I like this nail salon a lot. The staff are always very friendly and the prices here are fair. I tend to make appointments in advance(they are honored but sometimes you have to wait a little bit.) I have met with several of their team members over the last few months, and each time have been very satisfied with my gel mani’s and standard pedi’s. I do wish they had more Essie gel colors though :) I def recommend making an appointment though– they are a busy salon! If and when possible, I try to go on Saturdays at 9:30 right when they open but summer time makes that a bit more challenging.

After leaving Krasa next door in a huff(Worst. Service. Ever.), I peeked into Glitters. The owner, one nail tech, and a client were all very friendly. Lisa, the tech was chatty and fun and gave me a flawless gel manicure. She knew every color on the wall and she was able to steer me to a color based on what I described to her. I was very impressed with the staff and the atmosphere.

They saw me late for my appointment and the woman took 40 minutes for a manicure. And it looks like crap.

Horrible service. My first review is apparently too long so it ended up in not recommended. Had a full set of acrylics done. The guy started cutting without asking how long I wanted them. He cut too short. Put two on crooked. Hurt me very rough and cut my finger. Pedicure was rushed and rude. Zero soaking time. Refused to work on my mild callus. I felt intimidated and that isn’t like me at all but that man was actually bullying me. When I complained to the owner she was not just rude but extremely rude. This was my very first time there and I couldn’t have been more pleasant. Guess they only respect you if you have a snobby entitled air. I saw some of those there lol. The only other negative reviews here are from people who haven’t had these creeps actually do anything. Well I had the works and it was beyond awful.

Have been going here since I moved to Charlestown three years ago. They are friendly, personable and quick! Love it here.

I don’t make appointments often, but when I do I expect them to honor them! I have yet for this to happen there. A 5 – 10 minute wait is acceptable but anything more than that is not. I’ve been going there for over 15 years

Just moved to the area and found my new nail salon. Quick service, friendly, clean, and reasonably priced. Got a standard mani pedi(have now visited twice) and both were great.

This place is my new home. I previously reviewed a nail salon that did such a hack job, I ended up @ Glitter’s for the fix. Thank God they were there, and did a perfect job. They’re w/in walking distance of my appartment– so they’re my new go-to.

Im shocked this place has good reviews. Unfortunately I was not able to experience any service at all! My roommate and I went in and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. which we were okay with seeing as though we wen doing the run around on a Sunday trying to find a nail salon to do two fills. After waiting a half hour a woman came in and was recognized by what seemed to be the manager or the head manicurist. The head manicurist said«2 minutes» and took the walkin customer BEFORE us. Me and my roommate decided to leave and call it quits at that point. ZERO courtesy. ZERO service. and I always tip 20 $ on a 20 $ fill. good going glitter nails.

Glitters is a great little nail salon. Typical prices and have a great color selection. Another pro is they have lots of pedicure chairs which can be scarce at other salons. Only con is the staff hasn’t been too friendly but I will certainly revisit.

I didnt walk in there for a service but simply to buy a polish. They were extremely unhelpful. I told them the name and the women looking for it said she never heard of it. Now, I understand there are hundreds of OPI colors and I dont expect you to know them all but at least try to help me. She didnt. I asked if I could check myself and started to look at a small selection of polish. I then asked if they had anymore and she said ya but I never heard of that color… again… there are hundreds of polishes so I am not surprised. I was willing to go thru myself and find it… after getting nowhere I just walked out. Seriously… it wasnt busy… i wasnt asking for much just to find the polish i wanted and buy it… i will now never even consider going there for a manicure and pedicure… there are plenty of options, i dont need to give my business to people who are both unfriendly and unhelpful… booooooooooooo

I’ve been going to Glitters all my life. Even after I moved out of Charlestown, in my search for THE next nail spot, I just keep on finding myself driving half an hour over to Glitters. I’ve been to wayy too many other«highly reviewed» salons, but none of them can ever compare to Glitters. dont ever bother with the nail salon thats right next door to Glitters or the one thats across the street from the middle school. They simply can’t compete with Glitters. Glitters is still THE nail salon for me. =)

Ugh. The stars are for the nice people in the salon. I’ve been here a couple of times over the past 5 years. The place is a bit dingy and could use some serious upgrades. It feels and looks pretty dirty. Need to avoid.

Went to Glitters at 5PM on a Sunday. It was small but was clean. Staff was friendlyand the lady did my pedi quick but with effort. $ 22 pedi within walking distance from my place! I will definately go back.

A hidden gem in Charlestown within walking distance of my home. It gets 5 stars, because it is clean, affordable and the service is fantastic! I have gotten 2 pedicures since moving to the area and will definitely be a repeat customer. There’s no need to make appointments, but it’s definitely worth calling ahead to see how long the wait is(if there is any). What I especially like is that they actually listen to you and do what you want. I don’t like my cuticles trimmed(because they grow back) and always mention this when getting pedicures. Some technicians«forget» and apologize, but few actually listen and just push them back. Tammy, who did both my pedicures, listened and did exactly what I asked. Glitters is a great place, especially if you’re a local.
