This practice had a lot of turnover with doctors and is generally not great. I have had some positive experiences with a nurse practitioner who works there. The majority of the time I do not have any faith in what the doctors are telling me. They don’t offer same day sick appointments, instead you have to sit in the waiting room for hours during their«urgent care». The admin staff are unprofessional and just plain rude. I actually had one women complain to me while I was checking in about how they are short staffed and the patients don’t care, they just keep streaming in. I would recommend against making this your primary care.

MGH Charlestown is great. Doctors are responsive and many actually respond to email, and promptly. My doctor even calls to follow up on calls or emails and answer questions. The staff are very efficient, for example referrals are handled promptly. I appreciate that test results and referral appointment reminders are mailed to me. There are many services provided right at the Charlestown HC Center. Staff are courteous and efficient. I am very impressed since recently choosing MGH and picking Charlestown for my primary.. The health care is provided the way I think health care should be. They staff can look up my medical records and have all the important information at hand — test results, appointments, etc. Physicians come out and greet the patients — special touches like that make a difference. Needless to say I am a satisfied client.

MGH Charlestown is very well managed. Staff is very professional. The doctors are great. Very patient and attentive. There is a bit of a wait after you get to your appointment, but nothing unbearable. There is an option to register online, where you can send an email to your physician, ask for a prescription refill or even request an appointment.
