«Made in China» — «The Only Official Boston Baked Bean Pot» — Disappointed!!!
I would expect a pot labeled «The Only Official Boston Baked Bean Pot» would actually be made in Boston, USA. I was hoping for a bit of Americana, instead I got a bit of China. It should be labeled «The Only Official China Baked Bean Pot».
Had I known it was made in China, I would not have bought it, and I suspect many others would not have either. I feel deceived and lied and misled; I would have gladly payed more for a pot made here, because it was a novelty item and it had a real history associated with it.
I am usually not upset by products being off-​shored, I believe companies have a right to compete and stay profitable. But when you advertise a pot with a biographical history of being made in Boston, USA I expect it to be made in Boston, USA. You should be marketing this as a replica of the «The Official Boston Baked Bean Pot» made in China for one low price and another higher priced model actually made in Boston, USA. I expect you will have two classes of customers, one price conscious consumer who just wants the pot and another customer who truly wants a bit of history made from the same kilns as the original.
I was excited when I received the pot, I had just finished eating a bunch of beans using the recipe from your website using just a plain old pot with a lid, and I was eager to make another batch with my new «The Only Official Boston Baked Bean Pot» but when I turned over the «The Only Official Boston Baked Bean Pot» and saw the sticker on it labeled «Made in China» I lost all interest.
Please correct your website and please stop disappointing your customers in this way. Honesty really is the best policy.

I was thrilled to have found the Pot Shop of Boston! This is where my grandmother shopped in her day. And Julia Child too!
I recently ordered an omelette pan, custard cups and pie plates. All appear to be top quality.
Unilocalers please note — this is a small shop and sometimes they take a long time to answer your emails. I am nearly certain that the owner, Vincent, does everything from managing customer orders to dealing with manufacturing. Go easy on him. He is not

One star off for the returns policy. Unless an item is defective, you can only return an item in exchange for store credit, less a 15% re-​stocking fee.
With all this said, buy yourself a piece of history. One of these days, we will be hard pressed to find small businesses with such unique products.
